Disgusting, corrupt and unethical
I sent a camera to a buyer for a sale that took place on Facebook Marketplace. I sent the item via Aus Post on the 6th Jan. I even paid extra for signed and tracked. The buyer reaches out to me today, 20th Jan and tells me he hasn’t received the camera. I contacted Aus post and they told me it’s most likely lost then and all they can do is give me a one off $100 payment. “One off” said in a way as if they’re doing me a favour despite them losing the item. I look at the tracking and it literally never made it out if their distribution centre. I ...wonder why? They told me it was my own fault for not getting insurance. I was never offered insurance at the time I shipped my item. If I was I definitely would’ve purchased it. The customer service rep said she would contact my local post office to see whether or not they offered me insurance on my package. She then said that either way, she will 100% take the word of the post office employee. Firstly, I went 2 weeks ago, how on earth are the post office staff expected to remember whether or not they offered me insurance? Secondly, if Aus Post reps 100% side with their staff, why would they tell the truth if they did actually remember me? Is that not ridiculous? I asked them to please look into the items location. They said no since it’s been two weeks then the items marked as lost or stolen so they don’t have the right to continue searching. Is it not the basic duty of them to tell me earlier that the product was missing? If I send my parcel through Aus Post I expect them to take the responsibility to deliver my item. I don’t understand why expecting them to actually deliver an item seems to be a luxury and not a minimum expectation. You’re a delivery company for goodness sakes. I sold the camera due to a need for cash. I now am out of pocket $150 and all Aus Post has to say to me is a simple “we offer our sincerest apologies but quite frankly as you can see, we don’t care”. Absolutely useless and heartless.
Cut the crap
parcel received by Aus post and 4 days later tracking says "received and awaiting processing " Im supposed to write thirty words what else can I say about poor performance Corona virus being blamed for bad service
What a joke!
Really wish they took the word Australia out of their name because the service they provide is not what I would call Australian anymore. Absolute garbage! 7 business days for a letter! days and days for a parcel to travel a few hundred klms, lost packages, packages delivered to wrong address and stolen. All of these things have happen to me in the last 4 MONTHS. Claiming its corona virus' fault! what crap! hire more people, do the job we pay you to do and do it better!! I'll tell it how it is!! Australia post sucks now!
Poor management in deliver items and keeping client home safe, always left gate open after delivery. Pure lazy.
Poor handling of delivery and slow in delivery. Often left gate open and too lazy to wait for a minute for someone to get the door and "run" away. Damaged my gate and this time today again left gate open. Very irresponsible. Customer service is poorly managed despite multiple concern raised for the above. Better use Sendel, cheap and fast even delivers during weekends with way much cheaper rates. Australia post is unreliable.
I ordered a piece of furniture online and the retailer sent it via Australia Post. I got a text it was arriving today and that they would leave it in a safe place if I wasn’t home. I live in an apartment block so I knew they wouldn’t be able to leave it, so I worked from home, and didn’t leave the house all day even though I hardly had any food here. I watched and listened for the delivery people al lady so I wouldn’t miss them.
At 2:20 pm my tracking page got updated - said unable to deliver as no suitable place to leave the package. They ne...ver rang the doorbell - they didn’t even come down the driveway. Now apparently I have to collect it from a place several suburbs away. I don’t have a car, I work full time and I have an injury so it will be (literally) impossible to collect - I don’t know what I will do (unless they agree to redeliver). It really upsets me as there was no reason they couldn’t come down the driveway, it’s very accessible and there are no dogs or fences. I paid for a service I didn’t get :,( It’s really unacceptable
Why is Pania Working in Customer Service?
I’ve spoken with Pania in CS many times now and each time she bullies me and is so snarky! I really feel that she should be kinder and more professional to customers. We hold valid enquires and she uses our expense to be rude. I have reported this before but it just won’t stop. Now each time I get a disclaimer about ‘treating staff with respect’ after I have made a complaint? Ugh. When she answers my calls at ShopMate, I now just hang up.
Misdelivers And will not retrieve parcel for me. I'm still waiting.
My parcel was delivered to the wrong address as stated on tracking. I called customer service representative to confirm this. They promise to retrieve and have it delivered, I received email next day at around 7 am that they personally handed it to me. I know this not to be true because I was at home at around that time and they do not deliver before 7. They have provided no evidence of delivery. I have called customer service 3 times with the promise they will get my parcel. I still do not have it and they won't retrieve it. I want compensation so I can re order my item.
High cost, super slow delivery
Firstly, waiting 13 days for a parcel sending from VIC to SA ( ridiculous!). Secondly, I’ve been home all day to receive the parcel but the delivery guy just left a collection card without knocking the door. I have to walk to post office collect it myself after4:30pm. Informed this issue to local post office, the lady said : nothing I could do, I’m just a post office officer. (Of course, what can you do?) How could you guys increase postage/ delivery costs every year but unable to provide the basic service?! Disappointed!
My rating has declined now
My package was sent to the Ballarat post office on Monday and I live in Ballarat I haven't received it,the idiots sent it to bayswater in Melbourne, what idiots are sorting the mail why would you send a package from Melbourne to its destination, then send it to bayswater Melbourne still waiting for my item who you got working there idiots
Last 3 items not delivered. No attempt was made!
Australia Post have made no attempted to deliver my last 3 parcels. I receive a text stating "it will be delivered today" and then the next morning I receive another text to say it has been dropped at the local post office for me to pick up! My security camera footage shows that the no delivery was even attempted on every occasion. I work hours that make it difficult for me to collect so every delivery takes a few days longer despite my paying extra for expedited delivery.
I contacted Australia Post the second time it happened and they offered ...
Not sure if anyone works at Australia Post these days
Where else in the world would a postal service receive a parcel, keep it at the sorting centre for over two weeks then forward it to distribution centre 14 kms away when the intended destination is a thousand kms away. The distribution centre is now sending the parcel back to the sorting centre. Good grief this circular motion is the beginning of a parcel black hole.
Ordered a packaged on the 11th of November and the latest it would arrive is on the 23rd of November. AusPost told me on the 5th of January that they lost it. Someone should sue them.
Avoid Australia Post wherever you can!!!
And once more, Australia post loses track of parcels, tells me they are 'investigating' it and never get back to you.
On this particular case (not the first problem), a parcel is to be sent within Melbourne (less than 10kms) and 5 business days after the item has been dispatched, they cannot tell me where the parcel is and what happened to it but promise to investigate it within another 10 days!
Instead of actually investigating the issue, they use the boring standard phrases in the response and use Covid as a reason why it takes longer...11 mo...
Getting really tired of “attempted delivery” when we are home all day
Over the last 6 months Aus Post seems to have stopped delivering parcels and just sends emails/sms or leaves cards for “attempted delivery”. We live in an apartment and are always home. Just now we got an email whilst sitting here at home. There was no attempted delivery. What is the point of paying for door to door delivery if we have to pick it up ourselves. This behaviour from AP is becoming all too common and they need to be held accountable.
Bought a bottle of Gucci for a damn thief
I was in downtown at the day of delivery, I live by myself and nobody was home. How can you give my parcel to the thief ??????
That is disgusting and nobody gonna escape of crap post. Funny
Nearly 1 week after Xmas and none of our kids presents have arrived, 10 packages in total. Have sent multiple emails and don't even get a reply anymore. Disgraceful service.
Incompetent Drivers Falsely Report Attempted Delivery
Australia Post - How Frustrating!
I was advised that there would be a delivery today and we have been waiting for Australia Post to arrive. I have been tracking the item on my mobile and a note appears "Attempted delivery - Unable to gain access".
There was NO attempt to deliver the item, NO card left, NO contact at all.
I called and spoke to their customer service staff member who could only lodge a complaint which would take days for them to act on. She was unable to track the item to the driver and ask him to actually make the delivery....
Package sent 1 month within Sydney and they still not arrive. I was sent 2 small bottles in thick envelope (sender and receiver was clearly displayed) by placed it in the red postal box.
Liars and hopeless
Had 2 parcels sent to me through australia post . 1 arrived the other did not, when I complained they said he didnt remember but gps said he was there, I explained that obviously he was because I got one package. I proved them wrong and that he signed my package off without delivering it. They said they would compensate me but quickly back peddled and said it must of been stolen. Because he remembers delivering it. Why would someone steal 1 package and not the other. Also in a matter of 10 minutes. Manager was ment to call me and never did. Just lies after lies with this company
Absolute garbage service
I redirected my parcel to a parcel locker because I know I wouldn't be home to collect it but AusPost decided to still attempt delivery to my residential address which I obviously missed. I called them at 2.30pm after realising their mistake and asked them to place it at the locker which they agreed but still did not proceed to do so. I was only informed that my parcel was dropped off at the post office at 4.40pm when they close at 5pm but I wasn't even near the post office. After all that inconvenience I still wasn't able to collect my parcel....Such a massive disappointment. All they'll tell you is that they'll inform and make a note but they don't even bother taking action to rectify their mistake. Absolute garbage of a service. Don't waste your time and money on them.

Happy to help! I can see this one was sent on the 5th and we estimating delivery for up to eight business days which is today! Again this is only an estimation and seems this one is caught up in a delay. I'm very sorry about this but it seems it may not arrive in time. Are you moving interstate or are you able to get the parcel after it arrives? It should be delivered to you by next Wednesday, or even sooner. The majority of delayed parcels turn up three days after the estimated delivery date. Again, I am sorry for the longer wait but I do hope it arrives soon.
