What a joke!
Really wish they took the word Australia out of their name because the service they provide is not what I would call Australian anymore. Absolute garbage! 7 business days for a letter! days and days for a parcel to travel a few hundred klms, lost packages, packages delivered to wrong address and stolen. All of these things have happen to me in the last 4 MONTHS. Claiming its corona virus' fault! what crap! hire more people, do the job we pay you to do and do it better!! I'll tell it how it is!! Australia post sucks now!

Poor management in deliver items and keeping client home safe, always left gate open after delivery. Pure lazy.
Poor handling of delivery and slow in delivery. Often left gate open and too lazy to wait for a minute for someone to get the door and "run" away. Damaged my gate and this time today again left gate open. Very irresponsible. Customer service is poorly managed despite multiple concern raised for the above. Better use Sendel, cheap and fast even delivers during weekends with way much cheaper rates. Australia post is unreliable.

High cost, super slow delivery
Firstly, waiting 13 days for a parcel sending from VIC to SA ( ridiculous!). Secondly, I’ve been home all day to receive the parcel but the delivery guy just left a collection card without knocking the door. I have to walk to post office collect it myself after4:30pm. Informed this issue to local post office, the lady said : nothing I could do, I’m just a post office officer. (Of course, what can you do?) How could you guys increase postage/ delivery costs every year but unable to provide the basic service?! Disappointed!

Negative star if i can rate, I will give it without any hesitation
Tried many times to tell them to call me out to collect the parcel, even contacted the support and they lodged the queries, however they just leave your parcel at the post office, never bother to contact you, always saying failed to access. i doubt ever they tried to deliver the parcel to your door. lodged complains, never get any feedback. terrible service, why it hasn't bankrupted yet.

Avoid if you want your package sooner rather than later.
Ordered 3 packages from the same post. Two went with Aus post and one went with startrack. Startrack arrived 2 days after I ordered. With auspost it's been almost a week and one is still interstate and the other is coming in 1-4 days from now. Terrible service, avoid if possible.

Useless service and thieves work for them
Auspost is useless and doesn’t respect anyone’s property
Drivers to lazy to actually deliver items instead just put card in box when recipient is home for delivery .
If something is lost it’s never their problem and they only offer compensation after you complain multiple times .
And if you’re lucky you might get $50 even when the item is worth $1000s
Always thought mail was a secure service but employees steal and nothing is done maybe they are all in it together to pay for their Cartier watch’s

Ordered an item prior to Australia Post Christmas shipping cut off dates for delivery for Christmas. This item was shipped from Australia on the 29th of November. It is now the 18th of December and I have not received the item. Tracking provides no real detail "waiting to be processed" I have received other orders purchased after this original item, but this one, that I need, seems to be in the forever growing black hole at an Australian post warehouse.

be delivered on Tuesday so NO it wasn’t closed as far as I was concerned. I messaged again & got the dreaded..if you haven’t received it by now it’s lost!!! Send us a receipt from the PO when you posted it & send a list with receipts of contents. I packed this box 2/12/20 I can’t remember what I did yesterday let alone what presents I put in each box.!! Given the time that it has taken to be delivered, it could be missing but honestly given it's also the busiest time of the year it could still be on its way, but I know it gift loses its magic when it arrives late so I am very sorry about that. Waste of time tracking, same details listed on Dec 5th still showing Dec 18th.
Posted 2 parcels from 2118 to 6285 on Dec 4th and tracking today Dec 18th shows following.
* most recent update - item processed at facility - SYDNEY SOUTHWEST NSW
* Delivery was expected Tue 15th - Thu 17th Dec.
Note now added.
* Your item has been delayed. Most items arrive within 5 days of the expected delivery date.
I posted a similar parcel to Japan on Dec 7th by standard economy post and it was delivered on Dec 16th.

Delivery delays are ridiculous
Frankly I'm over the time it takes Australia Post to deliver. The cost goes up and the performance goes down. Offering excuses like "greater than expected demand" dosn't cut it.

Disgraceful Service
Aust Post you are the worst Organisation going. Latest episode was a seller sent a parcel from NSW to me in Hervey Bay QLD, tracking shown it made it to Australia Post Facility in Brisbane, but for some unexplained reason it went all the way back to seller in NSW, eventually seller had Aust Post deliver parcel to its intended destination. I personally refuse to use Australia Post due to past years of never ending issues. It's really odd that the parcel went all the way back after making it to Brisbane, I can only guess that the sorting machines may have accidentally picked up the return address postcode instead of the destination postcode. While issues can definitely happen from time to time, it sounds like you've had more than your fair share of problems. It does sound like there is some kind of systemic issue if you're continuing to see sorting issues between a QLD and NSW suburb with the same name. I'm really glad to hear you've reported this, I'm sorry it hasn't resulted in a marked improvement but this data and feedback is very important to us to help us identify what could be causing issues like this so I really thank you for taking the time, as frustrating as it must be to report the same issue multiple times. Disgrace
Complete and utter disgrace, have never met anyone who's been satisfied with them. Have been holding onto various packages of mine locally and refuse to let me pick them up. I will be collecting a refund soon after my packages finally arrive.

Faster to walk
My last parcel took exactly 186 hours (just over a week) to travel 36km within metro Sydney.
Thats an average parcel speed of 0.2kph.... Walking speed is 4.0kph
The tracking system is useless. it gives no estimated delivery date worse it now gives no idea what city or even what state the parcel is located during the delivery cycle.
Overall terrible service, no wonder so many businesses use courier services these days.

Almost 2 Weeks of Waiting
It has been 9 business days and my package from Sydney to Adelaide still hasn't arrived. All this talk about hiring extra 5000 people, 3000 extra vans on the road and extra sorting centres and still can't meet the extended 4 business day deadlines. Seriously unprofessional.

A business which profited more from COVID19 than any other yet completely failed to increase service to meet demand. NBN, Aust Post, public healthcare, and Telstra, 3 essential services completely destroyed by the LNP

Absolute complete shambles !
Australia Post really needs to lift there game. Parcel delivery times are almost double what there were 12 months ago, and yes I understand COVID-19 has been an issue for them, but it shouldn’t prevent them tracking parcels in real time.
The tracking app is absolutely useless. Data is not recorded or updated at certain transit points, and I’ve even had delivery notifications days after the parcel was delivered.
It just a joke.

uite sure computers and barcode scanners are unaffected by Covid-19. First parcel was posted at Dandenong 2/11/20 and it has been being prepared for the last 5 days !!! Second parcel posted express post in Sydney on the same day, it reached Melbourne yesterday with 3 days more to travel ........ EXPRESS ! What joke. Terrible and careless
Just received a tennis racquet yesterday. Thank goodness my wife was there when the delivery guy arrived. He was just about to throw the tennis racquet into the house like a newspaper when she explained we have a gate!!! He wasn't in uniform so suspect he was some form of contractor. Incompetent and rude. Shame on Aust post. We deserve better.

Can not believe companies still use them
As a business, we never use Australia Post. Far too many reasons, but many past issues with deliveries. However some of our suppliers still use them and our deliveries continue to NOT be delivered. We work from a home office. 'We missed you' cards keep being put in letter box forcing us to waste time going to post office to pick up parcels. Latest was a very small parcel that would fit in the letterbox, in addition to this I was home all day. When picking up the parcel, post office worker even commented saying how she wondered why they didn't j...Read more
ust leave it in the letterbox, it was so small. My only assumption is the post worker can't find it in their van so just drops the card and dumps it back to the depot. Multiple talks with Aus Post about the issue with no resolution. I've taken photos with explanations, debunking their false reasons behind the none deliveries. Every time, they just say they will talk to the depot. Last weeks complaint didn't even go through the system and was lost. They can't even get complaints right.2 comments

I can ensure this is escalated with senior management at your delivery facilities if you're continuing to have this problem after we've already reported it. It shouldn't happen in the first place but if it does, one complaint should definitely be enough to fix the problem. I'm so sorry for the time and effort this is continuously causing you. Happy to help! I can see this one was sent on the 5th and we estimating delivery for up to eight business days which is today! Again this is only an estimation and seems this one is caught up in a delay. I'm very sorry about this but it seems it may not arrive in time. Are you moving interstate or are you able to get the parcel after it arrives? It should be delivered to you by next Wednesday, or even sooner. The majority of delayed parcels turn up three days after the estimated delivery date. Again, I am sorry for the longer wait but I do hope it arrives soon.
