It's hard to state facts when Australia Post staff hide behind messages, but what a debacle. I order football club merchandise from my club just south of the city, to be delivered to me, just west of the city. But apparently, my items are currently "in transit" to Brisbane & once it finally arrives there.........it could take another fortnight or more to receive my goods. But they blame a "sorting machine" lol. Let's hope this sorting machine can contact me to explain his side of the story cos the customer service..........or lack thereof, is a disgrace.
Unacceptable excuses from Australia Post for their inadequacy and incompetence. A parcel five kilometers to destination I have been told it may take eighteen business days and that means all up twenty four days. What a trick in 2021!..... I am still waiting to receive it.
Unjustified delay blamed to covid-19
The Covid-19 has been blamed by Australia Post for all the delays of delivering the parcels to their customers. At the end of the day you cannot continue the blame for the unbelievable incompetence of this institution. Business people and private customers are made to wait weeks on end for an item to arrive destination. The careless and disinterest to provide a good service shows every time and no one in the government is doing anything about to align this company like any other private firm, this is behind incompetence. Instead to be proactive...and employ people if they're snowed under and more in particular the fact that Christmas's approaching, they are quite happy to trot along like nothing happened, all good my friends, we at Australia Post will do our best, please do not abuse us other wise you will never get your package if you know what I mean.....what a rot! what a monopoly! and no one says anything! I could go on and on but you know already where I come from and I am ending it up here with one star because if I could give 1000 minus stars that will actually reflect the proper score for this company.

Still no update, after a month. Quite disappointing. I have been waiting for several weeks, and I do not understand why there is no update or the package is not even being delivered, just received by AusPost.

And The Worst Is Yet To Come...
I am absolutely furious. Yet again Australia Post fail on all counts to deliver. I ordered an item off of eBay, the item was sent, with tracking, from Golden Grove in South Australia on 2nd October 2021, heading to Brooklyn Park in South Australia. A total journey of approximately 15km. As of 15th October 2021, the item has not been received, the tracking says delayed, which it has done since 8th October 2021. The tracking states that if not received by 15th October 2021, to contact them so they can investigate. So I have attempted to do this b...y contacting Australia Post, twice now, by phone. Of course when you call them they now direct you to 'complain' online, as they apparently can only deal with important things like passports. Which basically translates to 'we don't want to be customer facing, nor do we want to be answerable to our customers.' I ignored this and pushed through the ridiculous phone menus and got to an Australia post representative both times. First representative didn't care, didn't apologise and stated I would have to wait until 29th October 2021 to launch an investigation. So basically wait a whole month for your locally posted item to arrive and then we'll look into it. The second representative took a few details and then just hung up on me. I attempted to log an online investigation, as directed to by the Australia Post website, only again to be told I now have to wait until 29th October 2021. You are a disgusting organisation Australia Post. I am sick and tired of constant headaches and dramas with you. My one parcel may not matter to you at all, but it matters to me and in terms of service delivery you have failed on all counts and do not want to be answerable or apologetic, or let alone even look into the matter. I swear that if there was an alternative to using your horrible business, I would use it in a heartbeat. I am disabled and I completely rely on the postal service for almost everything outside of my groceries. I am physically unable to go shopping. I do not need the added stress of wondering if whatever is being delivered to me will ever get to me. Australia deserves better, not a business that hides itself behind excuses. Not a business that refuses to take ownership for any of it's failings.

Purchased fabric online 19th August 2020. sent from Cranbourne, I live in Frankston both in Victoria, today is 9th September 2020 parcel has not arrived checked tracking for the last 3 weeks states parcel is delayed no updates or suggestions on when it will arrive what a joke
AliExpress orders arrive quicker
Parcel was dispatched on the 22nd of September from the west coming to the north of Melbourne. Sat in the post office for 2 weeks. Now it's been in transit for over a week, less than 5 km from my house. Lodged a late item form, they won't check till 2nd November. Ordered products from shein China came in a week and a half.
How Auspost, Why? There is struggling and then there is completely giving up.hire more staff please

7 wks still waiting for a package sent before the strikes and shutdowns. Enquiries either being ignored or answered with standard we are experiencing delays. Customer service unable to locate parcels or change addresses. Only way they were able to confirm they still had the item was when it moved a week later. Sat for 15 days close to home, then was moved further away, still sitting in this location 15 days later with no update. Had a delivery guy come to my house to investigate on behalf of Auspost, poor guy didn't have the english skills to have a conversation about it, or comprehend what was happening. Come on guys do yourself a favour and allow people to collect their parcels from your centres.

Unbelievable service (service??!!). Still waiting on parcel which has been at Pakenham, Vic for 3-1/2 weeks! Please don't send anything else to Pakenham to be sorted, they don't know what they're doing. Australia Post should have been employing hundreds more staff since 2019 when Covid hit. Told I should have sent (my regular order) via Express Post! How much do you think we pensioners live on?
Do not buy if it needs to be delivered by Aus Post, you will not get your item
Recently moved house, so online shopping for everything. I heard shipping was bad, so I thought I would try to purchase everything locally within Melbourne, Victoria. I have no words. absolutely no words. more than 6 weeks have gone by and there is no update, no communication, you cannot get a hold of anyone. Thousands of dollars just vanished into the void of lost parcels. I have no power or way to get any comfort on the whereabouts of my orders or when or if they will ever arrive, senders are powerless to help too.
I have since learned that ...I can buy something from Amazon in the UK and it will get here, but somehow I can't get something locally from melbourne, Auspost is a disgrace to the Australian resident, completely failed us in a time of need. There is no excuse, if Amazon can still deliver with precision. Do yourself a favour and do not engage in any retailer that will ship via aus post. retailers like My Deal etc. STAY AWAY or face the same fate, I wish this upon no one.

Waiting, waiting, waiting...
Ordered a binge box of library books for the kids for the school holidays. Picked up from the library 3 suburbs away on September 15, and still haven't received them. Kids are now back at (home based) school and the books were due back at the library last week. Enquiry was raised with AustPost, but the stock standard response of delays due to covid. They will "monitor" whatever that means) the parcel until the end of the month, and only then will they investigate where it is.
No wonder companies are moving towards courier companies to ensure customers are actually receiving their parcels.
Pathetic Service Delivery Time
Australia Post picked up a parcel from Capalaba top be delivered to Keperra in Brisbane on the 29th September. 45-60min drive. They took it to depot in Murrarie. It sat there for 11days then at the moment it is in transit to a depot in Redbank. This is pathetic service here we are in that same city and it is now 13 days with no delivery. Can't get an answer through their help system except to say that they will review it on the 4th of November if I still have not got it. It is crap service and they should perhaps look at getting out of the business because they are hopeless.
They are not post office but LOST OFFICE.
Terrible delay for many times and finally lost it. No reply from the customer care. Don't blame Covid for your horrible service anymore. The Covid has been for more than 1.5 year, other businesses has kept up to that.
Tragic decline of a once great service.
You know a postal service has utterly failed when you are forced to order overseas because that is the only way to get your packages delivered reliably or at all.
On average it takes 3-4 days for a package to arrive from the UK or US via DHL or UPS. Quickest delivery from NSW to VIC is around 1 week if you are lucky. I still have a package that I ordered from Sydney on the 2nd of September just sitting the with zero explanation from Australia post.
