Two parcels delayed
I sold two items on eBay, both to the same person but on seperate days. The first item was sent on the 13th April from Sydney to Queensland. It has been sitting in Redbank Queensland since the 17th April and it says “ Delayed – waiting to be processed for delivery.”
The second item was sent April 22nd and it now says “In transit to next facility in BURNSIDE QLD Delayed – waiting to be processed for delivery” since April 27th. How can a parcel be delayed for that long?
I’ve posted to different areas in Queensland and they all arrived on time, so what’s going on with this area?

Australia Post keep charging more for a worse service.
I got charged yesterday $9.15 to send something that weighed 80g. They asked if I wanted to l pay an extra $3 for Express Post which would take 3 days.
3 days for Express Post is rediculous.
$9.15 for something that is 80g is rediculous.
Australia Post excuses for putting prices up is rediculous.
I've had parcels taking 2 weeks to deliver.
Funny how Amazon can give me free next day delivery and it doesn't matter how big or small the item is.
Australia Post if you are trying to run the company into the ground then keep up the good work.
Just one big mess.
I run a small business and have had 5 parcels go missing within less than a week (this was over 3.5 weeks ago now and I'm still dealing with it!) No tracking updates, no nothing - all placed in the same mailbox.
Have had to open 5 separate cases for my missing parcels and every time I request an update, I have to explain myself all over again to someone new.
I opened a separate case, purely as a complaint/feedback and they still can't get that right. I feel unheard and there is certainly zero empathy or understanding shown to me for something that has clearly gone wrong on their end.
Aust Post Parcel Postage
I had a round shaped package to post but for convenience put it into a rectangular store bought plastic carrier bag, only to discover that Australia Post would charge me approx $ 50 for this 2.9 kg parcel, however if I left it as a round package it would get charged by weight rather than m3 and would cost me approx $ 16.
I think it is disgraceful to charge $ 50 for a package under 3 kg, so after wasting a trip to the post office have had to return home to repackage it to its original round shape so I hopefully will get charged by weight. Austr...
Different excuses by different staff members
I spend around 15k a year with Australia post and once there is a problem it’s not there fault. Customer service is shocking. I have been trying to get an update on a parcel I have sent out more than a month ago with no reply. I have called every day for 3 days saying that someone will call me within 24 hours. On the website it states between 24 and 48 hours. So many different stories I’ve now had to refund my customer because of the Aus post mistake and told just wait another 5 days! Than if you haven’t heard anything we will do something about it now
Brisbane to Adelaide
I have send two standard letters to my daughter from Brisbane to Adelaide, one was sent on 4 Mar and another was sent on 16 Mar. Whereas my daughter still hasn't received any one of them. For the first letter, it has been more than 3 weeks already, I understand that it may have some delay due to covid, but is that 'Normal' to take that long in this circumstance? Please advice

Abysmal service with no accountability
Sent 2 parcels from Victoria within the last 10 days - one to SA and one to WA. They have both been sitting at the Post Office where I lodged them for nearly one week. If they haven't been sitting there, then someone in numerous locations neglected to scan the items. We pay a premium price for tracking and we get absolutely nothing for that money except after the delivery date has expired, the site comes up with 'item delayed'. Why is it delayed? You have recently taken posties off their round so that they deliver letters once every 2 days...now, so your workforce for parcel deliveries has increased dramatically. If I could give a minus score then you would have received one. How about you deliver the service that we are paying for OR reduce the price by about half to reflect your current ability to meet customer satisfaction - or better still, sack all the high paid managers and get some extra feet on the ground to deliver on time.

Careless, Incompetent, Useless, Dismissive, Disinterested And Disgusting
After countless negative experiences (spanning YEARS) with this useless, poor excuse for a company the straw that broke the camel's back finally landed today. Today I decided that never again will I pay their ridiculously exorbitant postage fees. Never again will I hand over an important item and assume it will be delivered safely just because I'd paid an exorbitant fee to ensure that outcome. Never. Ever. Again.
What was the final straw? Well, that was an important item I posted on Thursday the 18th of February. It only had to travel a d...istance of 160km (Toowoomba 4350 to Margate 4019) and should have arrived at its destination on Monday the 21st or Tuesday the 22nd at the latest. Instead, the tracking information has had it "in transit to next facility in BRISBANE AIRPORT QLD" since the 19th of February. This hasn't changed in the last 3 days. No-one I've spoken to at Australia Post seems to know or care why this has happened. All they've given me is empty apologies and no help whatsoever. They've told me it's still within the delivery time frame (I guess that time frame is based on their own low standards) and if it hasn't arrived by next Tuesday then I need to let them know. I repeat: Australia Post is careless, incompetent, useless, dismissive and above all, disinterested. Their prices keep climbing (for example, it cost me $10 to send one sheet of A4 paper express to Melbourne two weeks ago) and their service just gets worse. I've had as much as I can take of their incompetence so in future I'll be using Sendle when I need to post something. Sendle managed to get a parcel delivered to me overnight from Sydney AND it was cheaper. That is how a postal service should operate. So it's adios Australia Post, you'll never see another cent from me, that's a promise.
Aust post equals gouge post
Well is there no end to the constant price hikes! Maybe to claw the cost of Cartier watches.
We patronize the service, they apologize for being so busy,THEN after realizing this, They jack up the prices. Starting March 2021,so ive heard.
Sendle and others here we come
Prices going up again!
As a struggling business resorting to small time online selling to stay afloat, I find Australia Post amazes me that they can cry poor holding out one hand saying people don't send letters anymore so they up the price of stamps and reduce the number of days they deliver (but they say nothing about how much they are racking in with the other hand given parcel deliveries and online sales were taking off).... then came covid and it really boomed with online sales, they even put on more staff to cope. Most companies recover extra staffing and logis...tical costs in a boom just by shear volume alone, but AU Post again want more & just recently announced they 'held' prices through covid (while cashing in big time) and now are putting their prices up again as of 1'st March... after reports of FY20 record results INCREASED by around $729 Million - seriously AU Post, is this really necessary !!!

Ripped off again !
Just posted a parcel that i calculated on the Aust post website pre posting at $20.70, dimensions 44 x 20 x 26 and 3.3kg and was charged $25.10. Didnt say anything as last time i questioned them about if it Packs it Posts flat rate charges the staff didnt know the rules as they said they get no training and they hit a duress button, so have to face being ripped off again ! Unless the staff member incorrectly input the dimensions as she was trying to remember the 3 at once where they usually do one at a time ??
. Just got home and put all the d...
MyPost Business beware of damaged goods claims process
Aust Post have an outdated claims process. Although you pay for extra cover for full value of the article being sent.
(Quote): Aust Post will not process a claim with photo evidence, your customer is required to take the item and packaging to a Postal Manager at a corporate post office, not LPO, for a third party damage assessment to be conducted and can make packaging recommendations for future parcels. (End quote)
This process encourages businesses to rethink if the additional 'Extra insurance' for items over $100 is serving the purpose.
Item has been awaiting collection for 2 months costing us money useless Australia post
My wife made a special order for a client, the parcel contained 2 x scented soy candles that took 2 days to make as she makes all her candles by hand, she posted the items once they were set and tracking number is as follows EBA00127491701008300900, 1 angry client as the candles have yet to be delivered 2 months after they were sent and on Australia post website it states waiting to be collected. My wife had to refund the customer $80.00 as item seems to be missing, so now my wife is over $80.00 in loss plus the postage she paid on top along wi...th the time hand making candles and pouring them. I understand we have been going through a tuff time with covid 19 however 2 months is a fricking joke especially if it has been awaiting collecting for 2 months then why has Australia thieving post not sent the parcel back, maybe the staff i say took them home for there own enjoyment as there all thick as thieves now we hit a pandemic. There phone service is just as bad as we call numerous times and the options you select are muted like i am sure there aware of this, cause there a bunch of typical bludgers that are sitting in there home office doing nothing at their cost of there customers. Send the freaking parcel back Australia thieving post or this will go further as there is no excuses for your staff to keep an item not belonging to your staff or Australia thieving post. My suggestion to all is use Sendle as they are honest and super fast and on most occasions cheaper & they do not lose or keep the customers items as Australia post do. Australia post is not worth the number 2 that comes out of our rear ends and there just as chit as ever with lies lies and more lies, also sent another 2 parcels recently to North Queensland a week apart 1 is ready to be collected as where the other we sent a week prior is sitting in Brisbane which i find hard to understand how the item sent a week after has arrived where the 1 sent a week earlier has not moved from Brisbane tells me the morons they are at enjoying taking money yet can not honour there services except for 1 that's pinching customers items, times up Aus post your bad karma is coming time the press screws you along with others who will ask were the hell have items we pay to be delivered gone.
Unacceptable Delivery Time
I've waited 8 business days for my parcel to be delivered for an exchange with a company which has a time limit for exchanges.. I'm now told it will now be up to another 5 business days before it is delivered... I have been tracking the parcel and it has not moved from Adelaide at all and it's due to be shipped to VIC..
AusPost website says it takes around 3 business days to deliver and to allow up to 6 business days for shipments from SA to VIC... this timeframe has not been fulfilled as the parcel will now take up to 13 business days to be delivered which is over double the time specified on the website... this is unacceptable service.
Australia Post is routinely overcharging Parcel Post
Recently Australia has adopted a policy that domestic Standard Parcel Post that is sent in Australia Post mailers such as padded bags, boxes, etc. can be sent at flat rate within Australia dependent on the size of the mailer. For example, SMALL padded bags and SMALL boxes should be charged $8.95 (plus the cost of the mailer). MEDIUM mailers are similarly treated at $12.20 (up to 5 kg).
On my last two occasions at the Post Office, the counter person took my parcel (already packaged in a paid-for Australia Post mailer), placed it the scales, a...
Not happy jan - Australia post
How easy is it to send a properly address parcel from Sydney to Melbourne ?Well it did not happen for me. My tracking # r238801010444666 to post code 3165 sent from Marrickville 2204 on the 21 Jan 2021. As of today 26 Jan 2021 it sits in Adelaide 5000 SA. I have been following the tracking number all the way what a pain. I have made 2 chase up calls, case 37925129 I dare not say but delivery has blown out to to be 29 jan-2 Feb. ( fingers crossed) anyhow that is my Australia post horror story . Aust post please correct me if I am wrong.
Disgusting, corrupt and unethical
I sent a camera to a buyer for a sale that took place on Facebook Marketplace. I sent the item via Aus Post on the 6th Jan. I even paid extra for signed and tracked. The buyer reaches out to me today, 20th Jan and tells me he hasn’t received the camera. I contacted Aus post and they told me it’s most likely lost then and all they can do is give me a one off $100 payment. “One off” said in a way as if they’re doing me a favour despite them losing the item. I look at the tracking and it literally never made it out if their distribution centre. I ...wonder why? They told me it was my own fault for not getting insurance. I was never offered insurance at the time I shipped my item. If I was I definitely would’ve purchased it. The customer service rep said she would contact my local post office to see whether or not they offered me insurance on my package. She then said that either way, she will 100% take the word of the post office employee. Firstly, I went 2 weeks ago, how on earth are the post office staff expected to remember whether or not they offered me insurance? Secondly, if Aus Post reps 100% side with their staff, why would they tell the truth if they did actually remember me? Is that not ridiculous? I asked them to please look into the items location. They said no since it’s been two weeks then the items marked as lost or stolen so they don’t have the right to continue searching. Is it not the basic duty of them to tell me earlier that the product was missing? If I send my parcel through Aus Post I expect them to take the responsibility to deliver my item. I don’t understand why expecting them to actually deliver an item seems to be a luxury and not a minimum expectation. You’re a delivery company for goodness sakes. I sold the camera due to a need for cash. I now am out of pocket $150 and all Aus Post has to say to me is a simple “we offer our sincerest apologies but quite frankly as you can see, we don’t care”. Absolutely useless and heartless.
Why is Pania Working in Customer Service?
I’ve spoken with Pania in CS many times now and each time she bullies me and is so snarky! I really feel that she should be kinder and more professional to customers. We hold valid enquires and she uses our expense to be rude. I have reported this before but it just won’t stop. Now each time I get a disclaimer about ‘treating staff with respect’ after I have made a complaint? Ugh. When she answers my calls at ShopMate, I now just hang up.
Rip off and wrong information
I went in to send a really small/light item. I pick up the smallest padded envelope which was $1.10 and wanted to send to same city just the other side, stamp should be $1.10. Lady at the counter tried telling me it needs to be sent as a large envelope and will cost me $4. I said why can’t I send it in this envelope. She said it’s only for letters. So tell me, who would need a padded envelope for a letter. I was so annoyed I left and called Australia post to ask/complain. They confirmed that the item should be sent in the $1.10 envelope and should only cost $2.20 to send. I hope they retrain the staff, to avoid others being ripped off and time wasted
Great service by Australia Post
Its been over 3 years we have been using Australia Post for our business, great dealing with the Smeaton Grange staff, looking forward to work with the team in 2021

Waiting on 33A38148341401000930806
Says delayed. Waiting to be processed for delivery since 8th May and no update yet. Please advise? Been couple of days and nothing has changed
I'm sorry that you're still waiting on this one. It does seem to be running late as delivery would have been expected by Monday the 10th. Hopefully it turns up tomorrow for you.
There’s been no update on the item since 8th May why is that?
It's hard to say at this point Ryan,
It's either running late and hasn't arrived at your delivery centre yet, or it's been lost in transit. At this point the odds are that it's late though.
Need update on parcel EBA02113272901008320900.
No scanning 1 week since posting via letter box.
Looks like it's out for delivery today :)
I can see it was posted in WA which explains why there wasn't a scan for such a long period of time as the parcel needed to make it to a facility in QLD.
Posting at a post office rather than in a street box will ensure a parcel receives a lodgement scan but whenever posting in a box, make sure to allow enough time for it to reach a facility close to it's destination. You can check current estimated delivery times here:
Need update for Parcel R637183032518961 to 2747. Transferred from Chullora NSW to Redbank Qld????
I'm not sure why R637183032518961 ended up detouring via Qld since it does seem to be going to 2747. The sorters in Brissy will have picked up on the discrepancy when they sorted it on Monday, so going by our current delivery time frames between Qld and NSW, I'd expect delivery on Monday.
