Haven't had any problems really with Australia Post, all my packages come on time and my local delivery driver is always very nice and handles my packages with great care :)
But once I did have an important letter I was sending to a PO Box at Collins St get sent to a post office in South Yarra and it added an extra 3 days in transit before I got to where it needed to go

I've had over a dozen packages delivered by Australia Post's Parcel Post service. Whilst they could be better at delivering on-time, I've only once had to contact them to chase up a parcel. Australia Post's service is FAR superior than other "Courier" companies I've had packages delivered through, so I feel they deserve a decent review.
ordered a package from QLD to VIC, the package was held in dandenong facility for about a week but was delivered just fine a few days after the expected timeframe but at least it wasnt horrendously late or damaged. but thats probably the best you can expect these days

Australia Post guys have been working extra hard in recent years with all the lockdowns and stuff. Not every member is equally useful and polite but overall they managed to carry out the duties with dignity. Shame my international shipping was a different story but again - COVID

A box of beer was missing in transit, but Australia post has recovered it and delivered it.
Purchased a box of beer from CUB on ebay three weeks ago, seller despatched my order very quickly. but the whole box was missing in transit.
It took more than one month for Australia post to recover it, it's very unpleasant experiences, but it's finally delivered.
Australia post deliveries are slow, but I have to admit, the delivery system is reliable.

Are we subsidizing daigou post to china ,maybe the chinese government own a bigger share of Aust post.
Every 1/4 the rates go up why,to subsidize their chatswood daigou opperation?
When you ask the workers in aust post just get a shudder of embaressment thats all. And that is all Greed greed and more greed.
Thats a bit strange as pre paid satchels went up about 4 months ago and now another rise due in september. You are about to expand your services and expect the public to pay for it ,i truly hope you ...

Postal delivery service had sunk to an all time low in Australia in the past few years but having recently bought a few things on line I must say that even despite Covid circulating they came in a very timely manner when I thought they would takeaway longer. Let’s hope this continues!

I've had my share of issues with Australia Post (hence the only 4 stars), and perhaps it is just there area I am in now, but the service has been consistently good for a while. Whether it is sending documents around Australia or the multitude of deliveries, I consistently find items arrive quickly and reliably and their app is fantastic. The most recent one was no exception.

Posted with tracking number on 23 April in Queensland registered in Perth Western Australia of all places on 1 March (day which was supposed to be delivered to moi) didn't get to Sydney till the 4 March delivered 5 March, thankfully it arrived but why send mail to the totally opposite side if this ‘Great Southern Land’ that doesn’t make fiscal sense
Hi K,
I'm glad it did arrive but I understand your confusion with why it went to Perth. Can you please share the tracking number with me? Sometimes if a sorting facility has reached capacity your par...

On three separate occasions, delivery drivers have not been wearing their masks correctly.
1) Nose uncovered
2) Nose and mouth uncovered
3) Nose uncovered
This is just not good enough. This has been reported but I doubt anything has been done.
Hi Kay Jay,
I know this raises concerns for your and others safety, it's disappointing that the drivers haven't been wearing their masks properly. I can only think that delivering parcels is a lot o...
Read moref physical work and it may accidentally move around on their face, it definitely does on my face. I know this isn't a good enough excuse and I'm glad it's been reported so we can pass it onto the driver as safety is our top priority. Can you share the reference number for when you reported it so I can make sure it was passed on?You are right in that it's not a good enough excuse. A mask that moves around to the point of not being on someone's face at all, is just a lack of care. The reference number(s) are 36224607 & 36056845.

Been checking my app for my delivery 10 times a day, up until 1pm today it showed it's in Welshpool WA.
All of a sudden at 2:30pm I get an email saying it's coming today!?
Check the app again, and it shows it was updated at 7am this morning...nope I checked a hundred times today from 6am onwards.
Been home all day, and it still says onboard for delivery...ok cool.
Go outside to find I've been carded. But the tracking hasn't even shown attempted delivery.

Questions & Answers
Always seem to be long delays. Covid has well and truly died now and you would think the business would have enough knowledge by now on how to execute scenario planning regardless. They don't even bother with excuses anymore. It just seems to sit at 'received for processing for days before moving to the next state for yet more (eventual) processing. The so-called on time (7 days) gets changed to just say 'updated' with an extra week added on and no further information. Surely there is a more efficient way to manage the postal service by now. Why do Aus Post execs get so much for doing so little. So much wastage ...
The info shows Incorrectly sorted and forwarder to correct location. Actually, it arrived at the post office 3km away from my house last night and is now being sent back to the city (about 52km away). This means it will arrive with a delay of at least three days. Can I trouble you to make sure it doesn't get sent to further? No. AMQ575008301000935001
I am waiting for my passport and it has been sitting at like this for 5 days - Item processed at facility
