Are the postal delivery personnel the laziest bunch or what? Fully supported by Australia Post!
I have complained about the issue of not getting parcels (large and small) delivered to my door countless times! I am mostly home, so that excuse won't work! So have others, in my circle of acquaintance!
It means that us oldies especially, have to turn up at our post office and cart around at times heavy parcels because the lazy postal delivery personnel can't be bothered to deliver the parcels to our door!
Do I (we) ever hear back from Australia Post? Never! It is just ignored and the practice continues unabated! An absolute shocker as far as service to the public is concerned!
UPDATE: Surprise surprise! My parcel today was delivered to my front door! Will this continue, though?
I don't have much hope that anything will change, in view of the length of this issue.
If Australia Post is serious about addressing this issue, they should talk to their delivery personnel. They ar...

On three separate occasions, delivery drivers have not been wearing their masks correctly.
1) Nose uncovered
2) Nose and mouth uncovered
3) Nose uncovered
This is just not good enough. This has been reported but I doubt anything has been done.
Hi Kay Jay,
I know this raises concerns for your and others safety, it's disappointing that the drivers haven't been wearing their masks properly. I can only think that delivering parcels is a lot o...
Read moref physical work and it may accidentally move around on their face, it definitely does on my face. I know this isn't a good enough excuse and I'm glad it's been reported so we can pass it onto the driver as safety is our top priority. Can you share the reference number for when you reported it so I can make sure it was passed on?You are right in that it's not a good enough excuse. A mask that moves around to the point of not being on someone's face at all, is just a lack of care. The reference number(s) are 36224607 & 36056845.
Thanks, due to the high volumes of online enquiries we haven't actioned these yet but I'm happy to do it for you today. Can you please just send me a private message with your full name and I'll get t...

Aus Post, by definition, has one job. To deliver post!
Slow, lost, tracking that doesn't update. I have multiple parcels as both sender and receiver, that are either taking a ridiculously long time, or deemed "lost in transit".
And not just in the current climate. A year ago, I posted birthday present was posted express from WA to Melbourne. I watched it on tracking go back and forth THREE times between Perth and Melbourne!
Once I contacted Aus Post it was finally delivered to the address in Melbourne, 17 days after posting it Express.

An average to poor service. The time taken to deliver mail locally can be three to five days. To Perth it can take around 10 days !! Costs to mail both letters and packages go up as service goes down. I am not sure this sort of service warrants a CEO earning a salary of around $3 Million per year

Have had two parcels delivered domestically of late . The first I wasn't notified ever and it was sitting in the local post office waiting for me to pick it up . They weren't perturbed at all at my complaint . The second time I rang to find my parcel . They couldn't find it but rang me later when it was discovered . Have not had anything delivered by them again.

I had a delivery for a blender and the delivery person gave less than a 5 sec ring on the intercom. Was in my bed, jumped up and went to answer the intercom, the ring ended before I reached the door. Had to pick it up but the goods arrived safely.
Hi Xeronos,
The driver should be waiting at your front door for a total of 45 seconds so they can ring, write out the card and ring again. I'd like to help you pass on feedback about this to your lo...

Read moreut the employee that was rude, was this at a Post Office or on the phone? I'll be happy to give you a call to talk about your deliveries, look out for a private message from me.Have you ever ordered something online on a Monday with the assumption that AusPost might be able to use that full working week to deliver it to you before the weekend? I have many times, only to be out of luck. Of course the reason for this snail pace mail service is no doubt to force you into paying extra for express (that has to be the most obvious customer trap on earth).
I'll give AusPost some credit, they have improved on their abysmal service of about 10 years ago where they used to leave the pick up slip for my items in my mail box wi...
Read morethout even bothering to, you know, do their "jobs" and make the short walk to my door to see if anyone was home to receive the package. Now they walk to your door and yell out "post!" if they have an item that needs signing, thats the only improvement they've made though in the last 10 years. How about "parcel tracking", for me its been completely hopeless and the "tracking" part of it is completely absent. It doesn't track your parcels location so much as just telling you "Your parcel is coming" by midweek and then giving no updates again until the day its being delivered. Why not get modern and start a GPS service for parcels, like Uber does, where you can track exactly where it is and figure out if its going to make it to you at a time you'll be home? Surely the chimpanzees in the AusPost HQ could manage that. What makes this failing worse is that a recent experience with AusPost saw my package being delivered to Cairns instead of Brisbane, I only knew this because I saw it on the tracking website (who knows where it would have ended up if I didn't) which wasn't even updated in time for me to call them before the weekend. I paid 10-15 dollars for this "service" and despite their epic screw up I wasn't offered that money back, a gift voucher or any other form of compensation, more props to AusPost!! So the moral of my review is that I now know that if I use AusPost standard delivery instead of express then I better go into cryosleep while I wait for it to get to my door, that is to say, if it even is coming to my door and not going on a grand tour of northern Australia first. Definitely going to consider other couriers more often now when the opportunity arises, I mean some even deliver on weekends, would you believe that?Hi Sampson,

Always seem to be long delays. Covid has well and truly died now and you would think the business would have enough knowledge by now on how to execute scenario planning regardless. They don't even bother with excuses anymore. It just seems to sit at 'received for processing for days before moving to the next state for yet more (eventual) processing. The so-called on time (7 days) gets changed to just say 'updated' with an extra week added on and no further information. Surely there is a more efficient way to manage the postal service by now. Why do Aus Post execs get so much for doing so little. So much wastage ...
The info shows Incorrectly sorted and forwarder to correct location. Actually, it arrived at the post office 3km away from my house last night and is now being sent back to the city (about 52km away). This means it will arrive with a delay of at least three days. Can I trouble you to make sure it doesn't get sent to further? No. AMQ575008301000935001
I am waiting for my passport and it has been sitting at like this for 5 days - Item processed at facility
