Slow and slower
Aus Post, by definition, has one job. To deliver post!
Slow, lost, tracking that doesn't update. I have multiple parcels as both sender and receiver, that are either taking a ridiculously long time, or deemed "lost in transit".
And not just in the current climate. A year ago, I posted birthday present was posted express from WA to Melbourne. I watched it on tracking go back and forth THREE times between Perth and Melbourne!
Once I contacted Aus Post it was finally delivered to the address in Melbourne, 17 days after posting it Express.
First Thing Monday Morning I pay for a parcel to be sent....it stays in the post office for a full week before leaving... If your going to not work weekends best have an excuse like 'were a fast service' the government should force Australia post to work around the clock until the majority of Australians are happy for what they're paying for.
Parcel delivery fail
I sent a padded envelope on the 6th of March from postal code 4211 Qld, send to Penrith NSW which did arrive 9th of March to my friends address the delivery failed as stated by the courier no-one was home No card to say there was an attempt to deliver. But the annoying thing is she was home but no one even attempted to find that out !! It only came to light with my friend went she finally got through to her PO to find out where it was....PO said it was ready at the PO to be picked up by her. there was no attempt to re-ship this item to her home...! This lady does not drive a car and has to rely on friends & relative to get her from point A to B ! With me at this end and with my friend at her end stating this ''R15'' plus numbers over and over again to today 20th of March they finally delivered it I believe last day..... as I was told as it was already in the works for it to be shipped back to Qld What a debacle ! Shame on you Australian Post Services
Find out how Australia Post Domestic Parcel Post (Standard) compares to other Couriers
Know better, choose better.
- Domestic Parcel Post (Standard)
Australia Post services have become unbelievably slow over the last couple of years.
Even though mail is by air and sorted by robots!
Their prices increase for such an appalling service. They don't guarantee Priority, or Express postage, even though they take the money for it!
I have received mail from China faster than it takes to deliver from Perth to Tasmania!.
Typical of the Australian Corporate mentality these days. 'They' just keep taking the money for next to nothing in return !!
Use a courier. Don't use Australia post
$15 to send ONE university textbook, student to student. Student life is hard enough as it is.. Do yourself a favour, and use a courier ($8), wrap it in some cardboard from your local liquor store, have yourself a cheap glass of wine with the money you've saved, and feel good knowing Australia post hasn't stolen your money.
Too slow delivery service
Australia posts delivery services are way too slow, if you were to send a letter to your next door neighbour - it would likely take six or seven business days. My advice is that don't expect a fast delivery service if you choose Australia Post.
Australia Post delivery times getting worse
Please don't ask me to track your parcel. Please use the Australia Post app or website.
I have posted several parcels in the last few weeks. Even taking weekends and public holidays into account, only one parcel out of five was delivered within the time window given. One of the parcels sat at a sorting centre without moving for 3 days before a weekend. This meant 5 days in one place before delivery on Monday. I am waiting on a parcel at the moment that is now 3 days past the the maximum delivery time and it has not reached my sorting centre y...et. Why is it taking so long? Didn't all post charges just go up on parcels? No point ringing Australia Post all they say is they will open a case which takes a week. They really should have a money back guarantee, then perhaps we would get the promised service.
Questions & Answers
Need update for Parcel R637183032518961 to 2747. Transferred from Chullora NSW to Redbank Qld????
I'm not sure why R637183032518961 ended up detouring via Qld since it does seem to be going to 2747. The sorters in Brissy will have picked up on the discrepancy when they sorted it on Monday, so going by our current delivery time frames between Qld and NSW, I'd expect delivery on Monday.
I was expecting a delivery on Friday 30/04, my parcel said it was onboard for delivery but I never received it. Now it is showi g as 'delayed'. What has happened? My tracking number is XB35001450
I can see why you'd be worried! If your parcel was showing "onboard for delivery" last week it should have been delivered that day.
