Queens land to NSW via PERTH
Posted with tracking number on 23 April in Queensland registered in Perth Western Australia of all places on 1 March (day which was supposed to be delivered to moi) didn't get to Sydney till the 4 March delivered 5 March, thankfully it arrived but why send mail to the totally opposite side if this ‘Great Southern Land’ that doesn’t make fiscal sense
Are the postal delivery personnel the laziest bunch or what? Fully supported by Australia Post!
I have complained about the issue of not getting parcels (large and small) delivered to my door countless times! I am mostly home, so that excuse won't work! So have others, in my circle of acquaintance!
It means that us oldies especially, have to turn up at our post office and cart around at times heavy parcels because the lazy postal delivery personnel can't be bothered to deliver the parcels to our door!
Do I (we) ever hear back from Australia Post? Never! It is just ignored and the practice continues unabated! An absolute shocker as far as service to the public is concerned!
UPDATE: Surprise surprise! My parcel today was delivered to my front door! Will this continue, though?
Delivery drivers are not wearing their masks correctly
On three separate occasions, delivery drivers have not been wearing their masks correctly.
1) Nose uncovered
2) Nose and mouth uncovered
3) Nose uncovered
This is just not good enough. This has been reported but I doubt anything has been done.
What on earth is going on?!
Been checking my app for my delivery 10 times a day, up until 1pm today it showed it's in Welshpool WA.
All of a sudden at 2:30pm I get an email saying it's coming today!?
Check the app again, and it shows it was updated at 7am this morning...nope I checked a hundred times today from 6am onwards.
Been home all day, and it still says onboard for delivery...ok cool.
Go outside to find I've been carded. But the tracking hasn't even shown attempted delivery.
Slow and slower
Aus Post, by definition, has one job. To deliver post!
Slow, lost, tracking that doesn't update. I have multiple parcels as both sender and receiver, that are either taking a ridiculously long time, or deemed "lost in transit".
And not just in the current climate. A year ago, I posted birthday present was posted express from WA to Melbourne. I watched it on tracking go back and forth THREE times between Perth and Melbourne!
Once I contacted Aus Post it was finally delivered to the address in Melbourne, 17 days after posting it Express.
An average to poor service. The time taken to deliver mail locally can be three to five days. To Perth it can take around 10 days !! Costs to mail both letters and packages go up as service goes down. I am not sure this sort of service warrants a CEO earning a salary of around $3 Million per year
- Domestic Parcel Post (Standard)

Over priced for what it is.
I recently posted a mug to a friend as a gift. The postage on it cost $9.20. Personally I find that way over priced. I order a lot of goods from online and most other countries offer much cheaper and more reliable services. I just don't understand how Australia post can continue to increase its prices yet the service, speed, and methods haven't improved in the past 20 years.
Would I RECOMMEND Them? NO.
Should be better
Have had two parcels delivered domestically of late . The first I wasn't notified ever and it was sitting in the local post office waiting for me to pick it up . They weren't perturbed at all at my complaint . The second time I rang to find my parcel . They couldn't find it but rang me later when it was discovered . Have not had anything delivered by them again.
Didn't wait for answering the intercom
I had a delivery for a blender and the delivery person gave less than a 5 sec ring on the intercom. Was in my bed, jumped up and went to answer the intercom, the ring ended before I reached the door. Had to pick it up but the goods arrived safely.
Australia Post Parcel Charges Out of Touch
500 gram parcel to most major capital cities is $8.30 and rising with Australia Post. I can send same parcel with Sendle for $7.95 from comfort of my own home easily online and they turn up to pick up from my doorstep. No petrol used and no parking problems at Post Office and no lining up when I get there. Cmon Australia Post get with the Program. You have lost touch with reality.
Aus Post taking 5 days to deliver from Heidelberg West to Melbourne 3000
My parcel estimated date was 17th of July then got delayed which I understand but I still haven’t got any tracking after the 16th which says it was in Thomastown. How long does it take!
The service is running out of control
I had 2 packages past their delivery date by 3 days . Contacted aust post was given a reference number. A aust post consultant rang me from sydney . Told me both items would be arriving tomorrow . 1 item arrived at 11.00 am i asked where the second item was ? . Was told by older male dont know ring up the 1300 number he was told i would be he mouthed off saying that is your right . Arougant rude employee . I rang the 1300 number was told it would be arriving in 6 days time . This 1300 number with aust post is where you put in the tracking numb...er .the item arrived the next day . Aust post sent me out a survey to compleate i asked them to ring me . I am still waiting for the ph call . All of aust post customer service is non existent they have got none .
Its 2019 and AusPost are still using carrier pigeons!
Have you ever ordered something online on a Monday with the assumption that AusPost might be able to use that full working week to deliver it to you before the weekend? I have many times, only to be out of luck. Of course the reason for this snail pace mail service is no doubt to force you into paying extra for express (that has to be the most obvious customer trap on earth).
I'll give AusPost some credit, they have improved on their abysmal service of about 10 years ago where they used to leave the pick up slip for my items in my mail box wi...thout even bothering to, you know, do their "jobs" and make the short walk to my door to see if anyone was home to receive the package. Now they walk to your door and yell out "post!" if they have an item that needs signing, thats the only improvement they've made though in the last 10 years. How about "parcel tracking", for me its been completely hopeless and the "tracking" part of it is completely absent. It doesn't track your parcels location so much as just telling you "Your parcel is coming" by midweek and then giving no updates again until the day its being delivered. Why not get modern and start a GPS service for parcels, like Uber does, where you can track exactly where it is and figure out if its going to make it to you at a time you'll be home? Surely the chimpanzees in the AusPost HQ could manage that. What makes this failing worse is that a recent experience with AusPost saw my package being delivered to Cairns instead of Brisbane, I only knew this because I saw it on the tracking website (who knows where it would have ended up if I didn't) which wasn't even updated in time for me to call them before the weekend. I paid 10-15 dollars for this "service" and despite their epic screw up I wasn't offered that money back, a gift voucher or any other form of compensation, more props to AusPost!! So the moral of my review is that I now know that if I use AusPost standard delivery instead of express then I better go into cryosleep while I wait for it to get to my door, that is to say, if it even is coming to my door and not going on a grand tour of northern Australia first. Definitely going to consider other couriers more often now when the opportunity arises, I mean some even deliver on weekends, would you believe that?
Questions & Answers
I have a postage package that was expected to be delivered on the 6th or the 7th of April and I can see it has been sitting at Strathfield since then. When can I expect delivery of this parcel?
I'm sorry that TMP1969000403003756078094 is taking longer than expected to get to you.
Looking at our current delivery time frames to you from WA, tomorrow would actually be the expected delivery date when counting from posting, and when counting from the last scan, it would be the 14th, so it shouldn't be long now.
Hi, my tracking number is 33LMN500701701000931508, I haven’t received an update since Thursday 1 April, can you please advise the status of my delivery/ETA?
Delivery between Vic and Qld is currently taking between 1 and business days, so the expected delivery date for 33LMN500701701000931508 would be any weekday between now and the 13th.
i have a parcel that left Sydney West on 24 March 33FJV155258901000930309 which appears to be still in transit to Perth WA on 31 March. Is there any update on this item (which is a birthday present..)
Our website is currently advising most parcels from NSW to WA are arriving within 6 business days but to allow up to 8:
Looks like it has arrived at a local delivery facility in Perth today so hopefully you'll see it out for delivery shortly. It does look like it may be going to a business address though and businesses may sometimes have alternative delivery arrangements in place such as diversions to a PO Box or something like that. In these cases, there may be a mail courier service who brings mail to the office so depending on their pick up schedules, delivery time can vary.
If you're not sure what kind of delivery arrangements are in place for this address, I'd recommend speaking with whoever at the business does handle the mail arrangements.
