Worst Service - Slower than Snail
I dispatch many parcels through Australia post every year and I got lots of time worst experience with it, they are increasing postage cost every year but their service is going down, down deeper down, recent example is - I dispatched items for few customers living in Melbourne Metro, and NSW on 14th October but Till today ( 19th October ) that parcels are still in transit mode, I sent a parcel for Western Australia on 10th October and the same thing happen with that parcel too, it is still in process. I don't know when will they become serious and improve their level.
The WORST postal service in Australia
Order took over a month to update any type of tracking and the support line is a joke which they've now cut off for 'urgent' enquiries. It astounds me that Australia Post is government funded yet so useless, I'm not entirely sure where the money is going but the company has been degrading in quality steadily over time. AVOID at all costs if you want a timely delivery.
Everything about auspost is bad
Parcels always misdirected, late. Got a parcel delivered to wrong address twice even after I called and made an inquiry the 1st time unable to give an explanation why, parcels getting sent. On more then one occasion my parcel arrived at my state for delivery then sent to a different state before arriving back into my state. Had to contact my sender a few times and they were always dissatisfied with auspost mainly beside they never take responsibility for the mistake and always brush it off without a care. They really need new management, a new system, hire more staff and have some sense of responsibility
You will get the parcel eventually
At the moment the post is so slow that I expect to wait for Metro Brisbane deliveries to take at least 3 weeks. If the parcel arrives before that it’s a bonus. The Aust Post Couriers have always been really pleasant and handle the packages with care. On a side note I have been getting deliveries from London via Fed Express that take less than a week.
Tracking has to improve along with delivery times
Two weeks for sydney to central coast parcels is simply a third world service. On top of this the tracking is always out of date and erratic at best. Every movement should be shown in tracking as auspost has the detail but does not post all of it. Constantly seeing "intransit to somewhere" for days on end so I guess they must be walking with the parcels which explains the delays. yes covid has had an impact but better tracking updates would help a lot.
If there were no stars I’d give it that
I’m constantly let down by AP. Parcel From Melbourne to Coffs Harbour took six weeks as it went by Tasmania. That’s just one of many examples. Recently I had a book delivered and it was in cardboard package and it was good over the security guard fence and it was raining and the parcel got wet. The latest one is a parcel sitting at my local post office for two weeks and and no notification by text or card in the letterbox and I only found out it was there when I put in a complaint to the supplier good happy for you. This latest example is an all too often occurrence. I’ve now decided when I’m purchasing online if they use AP I will not purchase as a courier is so much more reliable
- Domestic Parcel Post (Standard)
Obviously lost my parcel but eventually delivered.
There weren't any responses to my online enquiries. The staff at the post office are just as puzzled as to why my parcel has been where it has (but here). Tracking is a joke. The ETA changes every day.
UPDATE: Parcel found and delivered. Finally spoke to someone on the phone and got the parcel 30 days after it was sent. Not awesome but at least it wasn't lost completely. I'd be looking elsewhere to send more valuable items.
I love how covid is used as an excuse.. Isn't our new normal a "covid normal". I'd expect AusPost to adapt like the rest of the world.
I have been waiting two weeks for my package! Meanwhile, a package being sent through Sendle arrived within two days.
Just mind blowing how incompetent managment must be. I feel sorry for the postal workers, they probably have ridiculous KPIs. Hire more staff..
Prices have increased. Service has decreased
Recent parcel deliveries have taken weeks to arrive . I gift purchased for a birthday and posted by the firm three weeks before the date didn’t arrive until a week later. The assistants at the local PO are delightful as is the delivery person but there is something wrong at the heart of Australia Post .it should not take a week for a card to be delivered from Canberra to Sydney, and don’t waste your money on Express post. It’s a joke. If it hadn’t been for the civility of the staff we meet face to face I would have given it no stars .
A box of beer was missing in transit, but Australia post has recovered it and delivered it.
Purchased a box of beer from CUB on ebay three weeks ago, seller despatched my order very quickly. but the whole box was missing in transit.
It took more than one month for Australia post to recover it, it's very unpleasant experiences, but it's finally delivered.
Australia post deliveries are slow, but I have to admit, the delivery system is reliable.
Maybe the Aust Post could focus less on their inflated wages and profits and a little more on the "service" side.
Tracking was telling in almost all cases that the package had been delivered. It wasn't, untill 2 or 3 days later. Even the sender had been told it was delivered.
Astonishingly Poor Service, ridiculous shell of a company that was once a public sector jewel.
Multiple domestic postage items taking weeks for processing, Aus Post blames covid at every turn yet private couriers haven't let our business down and have managed to maintain reasonable turnaround times. Australia Post consistently shows extraordinary processing delays. Remember when everyone loved the postman? Not anymore, Aussie Post aren't even a ghost of the once-great service they provided. Avoid them if and when you can.
Excuses are no longer valid!
For two years we have been adjusting to life with COVID 19, for two years we have been listening to Australia Post advising that they are employing more people, more vans on the road etc etc.
Now two years later we are still given the same old excuses as to their incompetent sub standard service!
The fact is, Australia Post were in meltdown before the virus arrived, they couldn't manage then and they still can't!
Except back then they could be contacted, now, impossible to phone, unable to post on their facebook page as they have blocked new...posts, takes days to reply to facebook messages and don't answer emails. Having said all that, if you do happen to speak to a staffer, they will give you the sad story about covid all over again. Parcels of mine have been stuck on pending for over a week, the seller tells me Aust Post have them, who do I believe as I can't contact Aust Post, Other parcels state They are ON the Way, on the way to where is the question, seems they travel all over Australia for weeks before being delivered.
Pathetic. 2 weeks for a parcel to be delivered from Melbourne to Hobart then another 4 business days to be delivered within Hobart. Biggest joke of a company in Australia.
Worst bloody postal service
Honestly guys. Almost two years of COVID and you still haven't got it together. Parcels take longer and longer each day, yet it's the only way 75% of the country can currently receive literally ANYTHING.
You're super unlikely to respond to this, but just know that you are the worst postal service going around, especially given the fact you are 'Australia's' postal service.
