Delivery Fee charged for NO Service = SCAMMER
We paid extra $10-$20 for home delivery for online purchases, but the service we received is the (usually free of charge) Click & Collect at the post office that is 20 minutes drive from home.
We used to receive collection cards in mailbox if no one was home, but these days they just sent you an email despite making signing off the parcel top of your priority list (that is, waiting at home all day). If you called their customer service for re-delivery, or an explanation, the answer is always "not parking-safe to make the delivery". But was it ...
Why does it take 2 weeks to send mail from east coast Oz to west coast Oz? I know why? It's run by overpaid idiots who have no friggen idea about postage !
Service all over the place
Dont complain to Austpoost or the will "Delay or lose" your parcel. Item Posted Qld 16th tracking stated cleared in Melb 20th delivery 21st. Then it stated cleared 21st Delivery 22nd, the it stated Cleared 22 in Melb delivery est 23rd , now delayed because I enquired no doubt.. Bris - Melb takes 3 days Melb to less than 20Km away a week + and counting. Auspost clearly goes skeleton crew after Xmas and doesnt care less after then but wants "likes" and positive surveys all the time. Yet another out of touch corporate, unable to use even old technologies like the phone let alone modern computing and tracking properly.
The Idiots at the red bank plains processing facility, Received my item on the 31/12/2019. I live at Redland bay which is about 30 min drive from red bank plains.
The Australia post tracking site said the item would be delivered on the 02/01/2020. The item didn’t show, So I had a look at the tracking site it had been sent to Cairns.
So I rang Australia post to see what had happen, Waste of time. So the item was sent back Redbank plains. The tracking said it would delivered on The 13/01/2020. Had a looked today 12/01/2020 Guess where it is going now, Back to Cairns.
The most disappointing and inconvenient delivery ever.
I normally have no issue with AusPost or it's couriers but I am disappointed with their recent service. A $540 parcel that was supposed to be signed on arrival was left in my building without my signature which was then stolen more than 2 hours after delivery. After a phone call to AusPost - I discovered that somebody had forged my signature on delivery. CCTV in my building provides evidence that nobody signed for the parcel, suggesting that the delivery person may have forged my signature. On top of this, my neighbours parcels were signed for ...with my name as well. How can all of the parcels before Christmas, belonging to residents of a 7 story building all be signed for with my name? I have made an online complaint in which the AusPost staff member denied the allegations. I have had a phone call in which I was told that "somebody in the building signed for it". I have had no other option but to take the matter to the Police and the Ombudsman. AusPost should be held accountable for their own mistake. They have not been helpful and instead have kept me waiting on hold for ages, denied the allegations and straight up refused to take any responsibility at all.
I was home when Australia post left my package outside on a 40 degree day rather than knocking on the door
My products were ruined and their response was for me to contact the sender I fail to see how it’s their problem
I've had multiple deliveries this Christmas not be anywhere near their time frames- 2 items taking 16 days to be delivered . One was Sydney to Melbourne and one was Perth to Melbourne. Yet something from overseas can be here quicker? There is a big problem here.
Yesterday I got a delivery of wine that had been in a truck for 12 hrs and was hot so ruined, and am now waiting for 3 more packages that simply say delayed. They are not from areas affected by fires.
Very disappointed with service and lack of information
Package was lodged with post office 26/11 in WA. Online tracking indicated to expect delivery on 5/12. In the meantime other parcels sent later by the same sender arrived. I waited seeing that it's a busy period. I lodged an enquiry on the 14/12. Online tracking indicated that the parcel was onboard for delivery on 17/12. Now I am told that it has been damaged and online tracking indicates that it is still on board for delivery. I have spoken to several Australia Post people who all tell me that they don't know where the package is and to be pa...tient but eventually, with a bit of luck, I (or maybe the sender, they are not sure who exactly) will have to seek compensation. Online tracking has not be updated and I have no idea what's going on. The contents are irreplaceable works of art. How something made of cloth can be damaged is beyond me. It will soon be a month since it was sent, well in advance of the Xmas rush. I understand that things can sometimes go wrong but the lack of communication and care is appalling. One of the people I spoke to even said that if I hadn't lodged an enquiry, nothing would have happened. Also, how is it possible that almost all packages that ask for my signature are left on my doormat? I would rate this particular service as no stars but I guess that the system does not allow it. December 21st 2019 Update: 1 kg package delivered empty, contents stolen I am posting this as a new review based on my case below because it is so shocking. I think that everyone should know about this. The horror story of my package (sent on 26/11 and logged as damaged by Australia Post on 17/12 continues). Today I received notification from my local post office that the package was waiting to be collected. I went to pick it up and opened it right there and then because it felt empty (the stamp gave the weight as almost 1 kg). It was completely empty. The post office guy said that he couldn't take it back because I had opened it, even though he saw it himself and was shocked. He gave me a number to call to follow up. I now have to lodge a claim with a corporate post office. The most worrying thing is that the tube was not damaged as claimed days earlier in online tracking. I could see how well one of the ends was taped and I have received packages from this highly professional sender before. There was not the slightest dent on the tube. It was abundantly clear that the tube had been deliberately opened (it would have taken some effort), the tape cut, and the contents stolen (the contents weighed almost 1 kg when sent). This is so egregious, it has left me speechless. These were original artworks on canvas from a remote Aboriginal community that I support who rely on and trust Australia Post. A package that was logged as damaged by Australia Post should never been delivered to me (so I was told by a representative), but in addition, a crime has been committed while the package was entrusted to Australia Post. I think that this is one for the police. Stealing mail is a Commonwealth offence in Australia, and comes with potentially harsh penalties (up to 5 years in prison). If you are caught stealing mail in Australia, you could face a hefty prison sentence or large fines. Australia Post - please explain. One star? How about -5?
No Parcel arrival - Australia post representative brushes me off
My parcel did not arrive which I needed to service our clients. I was forced to buy retail which was in excess of $1000. Still Do not have parcel. Representative brushes me off and says talk to my supplier. Well my supplier did not loose it. Brushes me off with basically saying we won't compensate you or take responsibly of delivering your product even though we are recieving money to provide the service. I would love to have a business where I can offer a service, get paid and then not provide the services without any repercussions. That's the best business in the world.
Money for Jam
I want to know why, and they do it all the time, do they not update their tracking service. I have had a package in the pending state for a week and they cant even tell me why. They say it wasnt sent, yet i have a receipt for it, they then blame where it was sent from, when you phone up you cant get through, when you answer the online questions, it tells you the same thing. This is not something new for them, its been going on for years and thats why as an online seller, i stopped using them. You cannot trust them to update their records. I am ...waiting for a delivery and i am told it will be tomorrow, but they cant tell me where it is now, if they cant do that, how can they deliver it tomorrow. They need to stop paying their executives large amounts of money and use the money to fix their delivery service. December 17th 2019 Update: Never turned up After all my talk yesterday with a rep of this organisation, and her telling me the delivery was within their time line, well they post has come and gone and no package. Spoke to the driver who said i cant help, but its common for them to say its coming on a certain day, when in fact they dont know where it is.

My Australia Post Disastrous Experience re New Redbank QLD Postal Facility
I'm still shaking my head as I'm writing this review on how Third World our Australia Post is.
The new apparent state of the art redbank fully automated post facility that recently began operating is a train wreck disaster.
I Wish I Could Give A ZERO Rating.
This is what $60 postage charges gives you in Australia.
Parcel left Katoomba just outside of Sydney on its way to Crestmead near Brisbane, on the 9th of November 2019, it is now the 12th of December 2019 and still my parcel containing car restoration parts are still to be delivered. You ...wont believe this but it true, & that is that my parcel has bounced from Brisbane (Redbank facility) to Melbourne 5 Times. And at no time has Australia Post bothered to make Contact with me :( Australia post have sent the parcel back to Melbourne of 5 separate occasions.
Depends on the driver
Some drivers are good, others lazy and just throw your parcel over the fence - and yes I have heard my new bone china cups smash as they did it. I also often get packages for other addresses left at my door.
Expensive, slow and ineffective
Australia post charged $20 to deliver a parcel. Claimed it attempted to deliver but no evidence of it. And then left my parcel in a post office 30 driving distance from its destination.
After 1hr trying to sort it out with the lovely - but disempowered- lady at the Call Center I might need to send package back to the vendor and ask for a refund.
Criminal activity within auspost
This Company continuously has issues about delivery of parcels and they go missing without trace. When you have a driver who does not deliver an item, they should be held accountable and responsible for their actions. Instead AUSPOST does nothing to investigate these person/s. Sent my Tax Return from a Victorian country town to my accountant 40 mins away and the satchel has gone missing. TFN and signature are lost but AUSPOST takes ZERO responsibility. Satchel was delivered at 0750am PRIOR to business being open and instead of satchel going into accountant's post office box, it went missing with zero trace! Suspicious HIGHLY. Do not trust AUSPOST.
Redbank a disgrace
Three parcels sitting in the REDBANK facility which have not moved since Wednesday what is going on Australia post you are a disgrace. I just want my parcels that I paid good money for
Lost parcel again tracking is useless complaint/investigation process is a SCAM
Officially lost, second parcel in 1 week bravo Auspost meeting paying customer expectations again and again. I receive packages from USA in 4 days, domestic couriers a little worse but never had a lost item, Auspost is like rolling the dice maybe it will arrive but sadly rarely does. I shriek when you are involved.
Perhaps Scomo should have a royal commission into this lack of service that millions of paying customers a being duped with. After reading the replies on this site from you I am starting to see a pattern of keywords and comments Is t...
Multiple glass items always broken.
I was told that handling goes through various stages from the delivery man that delivers to my door.
Everytime I order multiple glass items in one box, they arrive broken.
They obviously don't care for boxes as well as they should.
Mail redirection service and complaints department at australia post
I have mail redirection from my elderly mothers house to my house, it is renewed every year, and there is allways mail going missing, especially my fathers disabled pass via post has misteriously gone missing twice. When i call aust post complaints department they are not helpfull, i advised on compensation for five express post my mother had to use from other 4 years ago and i am still waiting after they agreed to compensate. Poor service
Is your service is a joke? Yes definitely 10000% will give you -5 rating if allowed
I sent the letter from Mascot last Tuesday 1/10 by using the registered post from Mascot NSW to Connawara SA, and I was advised that it takes 3-5 business day to deliver the letter. When I checked the tracking by now 8/10 it's still in Strathfield NSW since 2/10 and did not show any update at all. Is your service is a joke? The person who are waiting for the package are about to move out, and honestly this is the 2nd time I sent the letter. The 1st letter does not arrive at all but I did not use the register post for the tracking so I let it go..., but because of the delay the receiver need to move but they really need the letter and they are texting me to ask where is the package, and I said I can do nothing since I have sent it except monitor the tracking number. Lodged the query as well for them to advise me the exact location, but they said also there's no way to track. Not helping at all. I wont ever use Australia Post and will seek for the alternative. December 20th 2019 Update: Incompetent - Christmas busy period Bought the item on black Friday (29th of November), and it was just delivered 11th of November, my friends gave me the present for Christmas and it was on 12th of December until today (20th of December) I haven't received my package, I am in Sydney and I believe the sender is in Sydney and still not sure when I can receive my package. Send the item on 16th of December from Sydney to Tasmania and up till today (20th) the status is still 'we've got it', not sure when it can be delivered to Tasmania? I am not sure whether it can be delivered before christmas? or it will be delivered after new year? When I asked the employee in Au post they just said it took longer because it is the busy period.. I mean, how come I still pay the same amount as normal (although au post is always slow) but this is slower than usual. If Christmas is busy season then I believe you received more money from postage? How come we pay the same from normal period? You should be responsible by adding more employee to deliver your package and extend your deliver hour or at least don't let your customer full amount of money and advise them that there will be delay of the delivery because of busy period. We pay the expensive amount of money for this kind of service? Shame on you. Christmas busy period shouldn't be a reason for delay any item if you receive more money than usual period, you should be more competent and responsible since people need the item urgently especially because this is Christmas period.
ridiculously high domestic parcel rates means it's no longer financially viable to sell online items.
When the lowest cost parcel rate you can get is $8.50 no matter how small and light the parcel, there is just no way I can sell items online anymore. I was also sold a $12.50 parcel post bag as being necessary only to discover the next day the item would have easily fit in an $8.50 bag by size and weight. Ripped off at every turn. I sell very small items weighing less than 30gms. My customers aren't prepared to pay almost $10 to have that posted to them when the item itself costs less than that. And I wouldn't either.
Totally incompetent staff! Absolutely no training from above, asked if I could show them what to do!!
We send hundreds of parcels per week domestically and internationally. Domestically we use Parcel Post barcode stickers to track our parcels. When we stick this bar code on the parcel, this number is sent to the buyer for them to track. Only two staff at a local post office know how to scan the barcodes and then print the white sticker with the price and the same number as this is linked to Mypost. I went to four post offices around the Fremantle today and none of the staff had a clue to process these parcels. I even had one staff member ask me...if I could come around the counter and show them how to do it!!! Absolutely unbelievable!! Can the management at Australia Post get off their butts and train your staff or as I expect that management have even a less of a clue about how the system works (or not). OMG, it's like getting on a Qantas flight and being asked by the cabin crew if you can fly the plane!!!!
I wouldn't even Use as last resort
lost a very important item with a tracking number, as I wasn't the sender they didn't want to deal with me, but I paid for there service (ebay).
Part of the Aust post letter
However, as you are not the sender of this parcel, we are unable to provide you with compensation as you are not the entitled party. Entitled party refers to the individual or business who was responsible for paying Australia Post for the service - in this case; the sender. This is because whilst you may have paid them for the product, they have paid Australia Post for th...
Parcel was squashed :(
Got my friend to send me some collector cases from Melbourne because all of WA has run out, received the package today and both boxes were completely squashed. Obviously no care was taken when delivering the package whatsoever. The only positive thing I guess was that it did arrive on the 5th day of the 3-5 day delivery time (so it wasn't technically late).
Took 12 days to arrive from same state. Came damaged
Took 12 days for item to arrive from same state. Item arrived damaged so now have to wait for sender to send a replacement. Needed this urgently and now I'll be over 3 weeks without.
Most pathetic excuse for service. This isn't the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last.
Trying to get parcels through Australia Post is ludicrous. They charge more for less service and what service there is is not good. I am tired of mail going missing, sent to wrong address or plain just not being received. The amount of letters to various places I have sent asking for a resend is horrendous. Australia Post needs to get their act together
Questions & Answers
Can you check what is going on with this package? It's very expensive and it has me worried because it was onboard for delivery on friday yet it never came and it didn't come today either. It was sent last monday.
That's odd. I'm sorry for any concern this has caused.
We'd like to get an investigation underway, so please reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter with your tracking number or give us a call on 13 13 18.
Have posted a parcel 14days ago and still not received
Tracking is R243635014312142006120608.
Can i please get a update , I’m starting to think it’s lost and it has medication in there
Sorry to hear such an important parcel hasn't arrived in time. I can see we have an investigation open but in the meantime, please let your sender know it hasn't reached you and ask them to contact us too as they'll have additional information about the parcel to assist our investigation.
Sorry I should have mentioned earlier . I am the sender and apart from being told that it hasn’t been scanned after the local post office I haven’t received any other information. Hope the parcel is found
Sorry about that, Jyothishma.
We're expecting an outcome of your investigation at the end of this week, so you're welcome to give us a call on 13 13 18 on Friday to see if we've got the update for you.
What does it mean when it says delayed waiting to be processed for delivery? Does that mean it’s in my town at my post office?
That status means the estimated delivery date has passed. It won't be at your post office though as parcels will only go there after a delivery attempt and you'll see this on the tracking.
It looks like this is coming down from Brisbane and was expected to reach you by Friday. I'm very sorry that hasn't been the case. We do see most delayed parcels delivered within the next few business days so I expect it'll be with you shortly but if you'd like to reach out on 13 13 18, via social media or lodge an enquiry on our website, we'll be able to get a case up and running to keep an eye on this for you until delivery.
It's been 3 weeks already, why cant I get a case up?
I'm sorry Derek, I can see 3393U209965001000930304 took longer than expected to be delivered.
I can see it was delivered earlier today, but let us know if there's anything else you need.
