MyPost Business beware of damaged goods claims process
Aust Post have an outdated claims process. Although you pay for extra cover for full value of the article being sent.
(Quote): Aust Post will not process a claim with photo evidence, your customer is required to take the item and packaging to a Postal Manager at a corporate post office, not LPO, for a third party damage assessment to be conducted and can make packaging recommendations for future parcels. (End quote)
This process encourages businesses to rethink if the additional 'Extra insurance' for items over $100 is serving the purpose.
I have been waiting for a parcel it has been in Kelmscott Perth arrived 10 th February and yet still not delivered I live in Kelmscott what is going on hopeless today 17 th still nothing has arrived
Nothing is perfect especially the Australian Post!
Was posted than sent back, now is posted again where am I going to get it God knows. It's slower than a donkey. The postal service is horrible. Now that everything has to be posted there should be more postal places than just the Australian post, or F the whole system.
Do Not Even Think About Choosing Australia Post
- Australia Post takes more than one week to deliver a small item from one suburb to another within the same city
- They refuse to provide you with updates and reasons as to what happened and why
- They keep using Covid as an excuse for delays, although life is back to normal and we are 11 months into this pandemic; plenty of time to update procedures
- They publicly tell you they are willing to help you and ask you to send them a private message So that they can have a look into it, but they won‘t come back to you and ignore your private messa...
No delivery. Never arrived
Never arrived. No delivery of product i ordered from interstate. P.O. kept it then returned to sender. So close. Ok, but at least notify me of this. No attempt of notification. Zero follow through.
Tracking number 34DCC500187101000964506
Are the postal delivery personnel the laziest bunch or what? Fully supported by Australia Post!
I have complained about the issue of not getting parcels (large and small) delivered to my door countless times! I am mostly home, so that excuse won't work! So have others, in my circle of acquaintance!
It means that us oldies especially, have to turn up at our post office and cart around at times heavy parcels because the lazy postal delivery personnel can't be bothered to deliver the parcels to our door!
Do I (we) ever hear back from Australia Post? Never! It is just ignored and the practice continues unabated! An absolute shocker as far as service to the public is concerned!
UPDATE: Surprise surprise! My parcel today was delivered to my front door! Will this continue, though?
auspost are useless
for I currently have 2 parcels that these monkeys cannot tell me where they are and both have tracking and are from 2 different senders everyone you speak to will tell you a different story Delayed – waiting to be processed for delivery mean we have lost it
Don’t know how they justify the poor service
I organised for Australia Post to have a fairly large item delivered from Sydney to Melbourne. The item was posted on the 25th January. The staff that I have been dealing with have been trying to assist and have been very responsive. Fingers crossed, they will be able to locate it and deliver it soon.
Why can’t you people shut the gate . Lot’s of people have dogs . Losers. I gave you 1 star because none wasn’t an option. Was you born in a tent . I’m over Australia post .
Had couple of my parcel delivery delayed for days and the postman simply dropped a ticket to collect from post office rather than ringing the door bell. Why would you bother to show up in the door steps and not deliver the item, it's beyond me.
How long is a piece of string
I understand Covid-19 is having an impact on delivery times, but I wish delivery time estimates felt less like absolute guesswork. If I order today will I get my package within a week? Two? Three? Australia Post has often been on the slow side in recent years, now a package might arrive in a time frame no different to pre-Covid, or it might take so long to arrive you'll be wondering if its been redirected to be sorted on the moon.
My latest order - to be sent from Melbourne, Vic to Bathurst, NSW - was placed on the 28th Jan, early in the day t...o take advantage of the "post before x time for guaranteed same day dispatch". The seller did indeed provide the tracking information and confirmation it'd been sent same day. Then no sign of motion in tracking until the 1st Feb. I've seen it take longer, so not too bad I guess. It proceeds to show the usual "in transit to next facility" to Sydney. Cut to today, the 3rd Feb and it's been processed in Sydney and is now "in transit to next facility" in Queensland for some reason, so moving further away from where it's due to be delivered. Its estimated delivery date is now Sun 14th Feb. While it will probably end up arriving sooner it also wouldn't surprise if a simple interstate delivery did manage to take over 2 weeks to arrive as I've experienced that more than once in recent months. Thankfully it's nothing terribly urgent, but the frequently large differences in delivery times package to package are irritating.
Got a text saying my parcel was on board for delivery. Next message my delivery is at the Perth Business centre.
Looked at tracking and says no one in attendance. We were home all day with my wife working in front study with road viewable and a dog to boot.
Never turned up. Had this happen before where the guy didnt get out of van & drove off on my CTV
Now I have to drive into the city.
Item has been awaiting collection for 2 months costing us money useless Australia post
My wife made a special order for a client, the parcel contained 2 x scented soy candles that took 2 days to make as she makes all her candles by hand, she posted the items once they were set and tracking number is as follows EBA00127491701008300900, 1 angry client as the candles have yet to be delivered 2 months after they were sent and on Australia post website it states waiting to be collected. My wife had to refund the customer $80.00 as item seems to be missing, so now my wife is over $80.00 in loss plus the postage she paid on top along wi...th the time hand making candles and pouring them. I understand we have been going through a tuff time with covid 19 however 2 months is a fricking joke especially if it has been awaiting collecting for 2 months then why has Australia thieving post not sent the parcel back, maybe the staff i say took them home for there own enjoyment as there all thick as thieves now we hit a pandemic. There phone service is just as bad as we call numerous times and the options you select are muted like i am sure there aware of this, cause there a bunch of typical bludgers that are sitting in there home office doing nothing at their cost of there customers. Send the freaking parcel back Australia thieving post or this will go further as there is no excuses for your staff to keep an item not belonging to your staff or Australia thieving post. My suggestion to all is use Sendle as they are honest and super fast and on most occasions cheaper & they do not lose or keep the customers items as Australia post do. Australia post is not worth the number 2 that comes out of our rear ends and there just as chit as ever with lies lies and more lies, also sent another 2 parcels recently to North Queensland a week apart 1 is ready to be collected as where the other we sent a week prior is sitting in Brisbane which i find hard to understand how the item sent a week after has arrived where the 1 sent a week earlier has not moved from Brisbane tells me the morons they are at enjoying taking money yet can not honour there services except for 1 that's pinching customers items, times up Aus post your bad karma is coming time the press screws you along with others who will ask were the hell have items we pay to be delivered gone.
8 days to deliver an A4 envelope from Melbourne to Sydney!!!
What a pathetic organisation Australia Post has become.
It took 9 days to deliver an A4 envelope from Melbourne metro to Sydney metro. Regardless of the China's virus - this service level is unacceptable.
A full refund for service level breaches would sharpen their act.
AustPost are faking customer signature signed by themselves
In the past month, we had several high valued deliveries and all required signatures. We were waiting at home and sticked note on the door asking to knock the door or using door chime for deliveries. But Austpost postman had simply dropped all parcels at our carport without knocking the door for signature. We could only know parcels had been delivered after received tracking notification.
It looks like that Austpost is encouraging their staff to illegally fake customer signature regardless I had complained to this issue.
Unacceptable Delivery Time
I've waited 8 business days for my parcel to be delivered for an exchange with a company which has a time limit for exchanges.. I'm now told it will now be up to another 5 business days before it is delivered... I have been tracking the parcel and it has not moved from Adelaide at all and it's due to be shipped to VIC..
AusPost website says it takes around 3 business days to deliver and to allow up to 6 business days for shipments from SA to VIC... this timeframe has not been fulfilled as the parcel will now take up to 13 business days to be delivered which is over double the time specified on the website... this is unacceptable service.
Didn't receive may package
Didn't receive my package waited over a month seller got a refund but refused 2 give me my money back Australia post said nothing they can do take it up with seller maybe u should stop thieving peoples packages definitely wouldn't recommend FAR.Q.2
Australia Post is routinely overcharging Parcel Post
Recently Australia has adopted a policy that domestic Standard Parcel Post that is sent in Australia Post mailers such as padded bags, boxes, etc. can be sent at flat rate within Australia dependent on the size of the mailer. For example, SMALL padded bags and SMALL boxes should be charged $8.95 (plus the cost of the mailer). MEDIUM mailers are similarly treated at $12.20 (up to 5 kg).
On my last two occasions at the Post Office, the counter person took my parcel (already packaged in a paid-for Australia Post mailer), placed it the scales, a...
Not happy jan - Australia post
How easy is it to send a properly address parcel from Sydney to Melbourne ?Well it did not happen for me. My tracking # r238801010444666 to post code 3165 sent from Marrickville 2204 on the 21 Jan 2021. As of today 26 Jan 2021 it sits in Adelaide 5000 SA. I have been following the tracking number all the way what a pain. I have made 2 chase up calls, case 37925129 I dare not say but delivery has blown out to to be 29 jan-2 Feb. ( fingers crossed) anyhow that is my Australia post horror story . Aust post please correct me if I am wrong.
Love Australia Post
I have never had an issue with Australia Post. Our post man (yes, he is a man) is excellent, he goes out of his way to deliver parcels in a safe place and places items in a plastic bag when it's raining. I can't understand why so many people have so many negative things to say. I just received a parcel on Wednesday in WA sent from VIC on Monday and Tuesday was a public holiday. Outstanding work!
Australia post. Just terrible service
Received a parcel that I had to return as it was incorrect. Posted parcel back at 3pm Wednesday. Seller received at 10am Thursday and dispatched a replacement item at 3pm Thursday. So far so good. Delivery Friday one would expect. 4 days later it is sitting at a processing centre in brisbane and they say they might deliver it by Wednesday. Seriously how hard is it to deliver the bloody mail
Disgusting, corrupt and unethical
I sent a camera to a buyer for a sale that took place on Facebook Marketplace. I sent the item via Aus Post on the 6th Jan. I even paid extra for signed and tracked. The buyer reaches out to me today, 20th Jan and tells me he hasn’t received the camera. I contacted Aus post and they told me it’s most likely lost then and all they can do is give me a one off $100 payment. “One off” said in a way as if they’re doing me a favour despite them losing the item. I look at the tracking and it literally never made it out if their distribution centre. I ...wonder why? They told me it was my own fault for not getting insurance. I was never offered insurance at the time I shipped my item. If I was I definitely would’ve purchased it. The customer service rep said she would contact my local post office to see whether or not they offered me insurance on my package. She then said that either way, she will 100% take the word of the post office employee. Firstly, I went 2 weeks ago, how on earth are the post office staff expected to remember whether or not they offered me insurance? Secondly, if Aus Post reps 100% side with their staff, why would they tell the truth if they did actually remember me? Is that not ridiculous? I asked them to please look into the items location. They said no since it’s been two weeks then the items marked as lost or stolen so they don’t have the right to continue searching. Is it not the basic duty of them to tell me earlier that the product was missing? If I send my parcel through Aus Post I expect them to take the responsibility to deliver my item. I don’t understand why expecting them to actually deliver an item seems to be a luxury and not a minimum expectation. You’re a delivery company for goodness sakes. I sold the camera due to a need for cash. I now am out of pocket $150 and all Aus Post has to say to me is a simple “we offer our sincerest apologies but quite frankly as you can see, we don’t care”. Absolutely useless and heartless.
Cut the crap
parcel received by Aus post and 4 days later tracking says "received and awaiting processing " Im supposed to write thirty words what else can I say about poor performance Corona virus being blamed for bad service
One star because I can't give zero
The last two parcels I have had sent to me have shown up on tracking as awaiting collection at Wilton GPO. But both times I have never gotten a pick up slip in my mailbox. This have never been a problem before Has the contractor in the area changed. If so it seems they are not doing their job. Both times the parcel was at the GPO so why didn't I get a slip in my mailbox, the box has a lock so it cannot of been stolen. The drivers/contractors around here are not even trying to deliver my stuff. Don't blame COVID-19 for delays or other errors this virus has been around for over a year now and business is booming for all delivery companies. Spend some of the profits on providing the service the customers are paying for.
What a joke!
Really wish they took the word Australia out of their name because the service they provide is not what I would call Australian anymore. Absolute garbage! 7 business days for a letter! days and days for a parcel to travel a few hundred klms, lost packages, packages delivered to wrong address and stolen. All of these things have happen to me in the last 4 MONTHS. Claiming its corona virus' fault! what crap! hire more people, do the job we pay you to do and do it better!! I'll tell it how it is!! Australia post sucks now!
Questions & Answers
Is there any chance my parcel will be delivered today?
Hi my parcel (tracking number #99704713156901000830904) was estimated to be here on Monday 20th- Tuesday 21st, coming from within the same state. It now says delayed- waiting to be processed for delivery. Does that mean it’s still at its senders location? How long roughly would it take to be here?
That delayed status just comes up automatically when a parcel hasn't arrived within the time frame initially estimated.
Looking at the tracking, this was only posted on Monday the 19th so the delivery estimate calculated by the online tracking seems a bit off. Our website does advise allowing 2-4 business days for same state deliveries within NSW at the moment so it is actually expected to reach you by today.
It hasn't been scanned out for delivery yet though so does appear to have been held up. This is likely due to the ongoing COVID situation in NSW which is having a pretty heavy impact on our network.
I really apologise for the delay, we'll be working to get this to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, it's worth letting your sender know you are still waiting and feel free to contact us on 13 13 18, via social media or by lodging and enquiry on our website if you'd like us to set up a case to keep an eye on this delivery for you.
Hi, I posted a small parcel on Monday 19th and the status today, Thursday 22nd is 'we've got it'. Expected delivery was yesterday or today? How can I get an update on this? Tracking #R358360014310713
Thank you, Jo
Sorry to hear it's taking longer than expected. The best way to get updates is to keep an eye on the tracking as you'll see an update there as soon as your parcel does receive a scan. Looks like it did receive an update early this morning. Depending on where it's heading to, I'd expect delivery very soon but please reach out to our help and support team on 13 13 18 or via social media with the address details if needing an updated delivery estimate.
