10 May 2022, a return postage parcel was dropped off at Gympie post office. 23 May 2022 had a chat session with a ‘customer service’ person of Auspost, I was advised that it was picked up from Gympie (although the tracking website was stating it still was in Gympie) and that I could launch an investigation from the 25 May. Launched investigation on the 31 May via tracking website, received email stating that there were delays and not to react any further until 17 June - but they were almost sure it would have been delivered by then. 20 June sen...
Read moret another email to Auspost as it was still not delivered, the answer I received was that Auspost was working through all the delays but told me to allow till at least 11 July. If still not delivered than they will start an investigation - what a joke.Been through the ringer with this hopeless excuse of a postage service, Lost my parcel when it returned to my local depot, countless trips to the post office, countless promises of returned phone calls, Complaints department are quiet happy to not bother responding for weeks at a time until you further pester them, Parcel is presumably stolen...Offered $100 refund. AND STILL HAVNT EVEN GOT THAT?! Employing thieves and letting them get away with it at your customers expense, shameful, call yourself AUSTRALIAN post.
If I could give Australia Post a zero star rating I would. It has been over 6 months since I sent a parcel domestically and it still hasn’t been delivered. Staff have been absolutely disgusting with the way they spoke to me and showed zero care considering I’ve told them how important the parcel is. I’m definitely taking legal actions but I thought I’d leave a review here so others don’t experience the same issue as I did.
Sent a booklet of poems to a friend in the USA for Xmas. Was returned to me five days later in this condition (see photos) Item and envelope were completely ruined; booklet soaked through with ink or something and still wet when returned to me. Contacted ''customer service'' (what a flippin joke of a title that is with this lot!) Absolutely no help at all, just vague mumblings about size/weight after the SECOND time I contacted them with these photos. An utter disgrace. I have had trouble with Aus Post previously, losing a REGISTERED letter and...
Read more misdirecting it to Sydney THREE times instead of to Melbourne (I still haven't figured that one out) I will actively go out of my way from now on to find alternatives to this pathetic disgrace of a ''postal service'' and I would encourage others to do the same.Find out how Australia Post Domestic Parcel Post (Standard) compares to other Couriers

6 weeks and counting to deliver from central Melbourne to central Sydney
Not sure what the point of lodging an enquiry is, if all they say is "We acknowledge you have contacted us regarding a severely delayed article, and confirm that this article is part of a known delay." Well I already knew it was delayed, and I knew that they knew that it was delayed. Ergo, it's a known delay. THAT'S WHY I ENQUIRED. But at some point the correct word is not "delayed" but "lost". I mean, if I were to set off for Sydney and still hadn't arrived after 6 weeks, I'd say I was lost. I could walk it in that time! But no, that's considered to be case closed: "As your parcel is progressing toward delivery, we're closing your enquiry." Progressing?? It hasn't budged since October!

On 21 October I took two dissimilar parcels (one to NSW and one SA) to the Post Office in Sunshine , Vic. I have since found that it is likely that the customer service person likely put the wrong postage stickers on the wrong packages - tracking numbers were very similar. The recipient in NSW has received his package on 4 Nov, but Australia Post tracking shows parcel not delivered and bouncing around NSW and SA - it has been to Adelaide Airport 3 times and Sydney 5 times. On the other hand the parcel destined for South Australia is recorded as delivered to NSW. WTH? Surely Australia Post should return the undelivered item to me, if their system cannot resolve where it is supposed to go.

Since my last review I have used, or tried to use, their service to deliver another parcel to NSW from Victoria. It was lodged at my local Post Office (LPO) mid September. Again it sat at my LPO for a couple of days and then the Melbourne North depot (or should I say storage facility) for just on 2 weeks. After that it was marked as sent to Sydney and from there to a distribution centre some 12km from where it had to be delivered. Next posting was that it was in Mt. Gambier SA and being sent to the "correct" facility. It ended up back in V...
Read moreictoria at the Sunshine West depot. From there it was sent (supposedly) to Sydney again, but that was several days ago and nothing has changed. Today it has been exactly ONE MONTH since I posted it and it still hasn't reached Sydney, but has had a wonderful sightseeing tour of Australia rather than being delivered in a timely fashion which is what I paid for. Also received 2 emails from Aust Post after raising a complaint with them. The email was to me as the 'recipient' of the posted item (instead of the sender) and was fully of lies and incorrect information. I now just sit back and shake my head at the total incompetence of Australia Post employees in their "investigations" area and their delivery section. We pay a premium to have tracking on our items but most of the time tracking is NOT undertaken and parcels go on a magical mystery tour of Australia, get lost and cause frustration for the sender and recipient of the item. Get your act together Australia Post and stop performing like a 4th world country facility with the highest postage rates and no service.Could not rate this company low enough. 18 months into a pandemic where businesses have adapted, this billion(s) dollar company is still charging their normal extortionate fees for a vastly inferior service. Massive delays in every single delivery, customer service somehow still hasn’t adapted to higher inquiries in 18 months and fees are just as high as they were before covid. Posted an item a week ago, has not moved from initial location in 7 days. Wish there were another service we could use because this one is abhorrent.

I had a high regard for Aust Post using for 15 years with online sales until the last couple of months. Although the service has never been quick it was always reliable especially Express. Now I have been forced to use Express Post only as Regular Post will take too long and will default on postage times dictated by on line market place. Here's the tip. Stop placing your items into the Red Posting Box as these are emptied and not scanned. You have to go over the counter to ensure it gets scanned. Even then it will be very slow. I have had succe...
Read moress with Express Post which only arrives in same time as Regular used to. I have raised a number of Online Queries for Missing or Lost Items, They respond with "Resolved" wait 15 Business days. Ref 42689655 & 42692211.Ref 42692211 has been scanned. Posted 18/9/21 first scan 1/10/21.

Aust post parcel left Sydney 31/8
Still no update on Tracking
Only going to Melbourne...
Loves to take your money but can't advise where the parcel is ..
Stop blaming covid and fix the issues, any other business would be under review...
Sold an item on eBay to VIC. Is a GPU valued at around 380 AUD. Assumed AUSPOST would be fine dealing with my parcel and wouldn't lose it + was packaged more than adequately. Sent with signature required.
Dropped it off at my Post Office and everything seemed fine but day after day my worry increased as the tracking never updated. I understand if this is caused by the lockdowns, but the least you can do is update me on what's happening, where it is, etc. It's probably in VIC and hasn't been scanned on release from NSW.
If they lost it, which is by far worst possible scenario, Jesus Christ the service is horrible.
Deserve to be put of business and using lockdown as an excuse for appalling service.
Hi Jeremy,

I now have been waiting for over a month for my parcel shipped domestically, that's ridiciluous. Opened a case with them and it now has been over 3 weeks since they are trying to locate my parcel. Tried to claim a 100$ insurance refund that comes with every package since the package is lost. All they keep saying "we are still investigating". What a disgrace! Better using other shipping providers as aupost have become really poor customer oriantated. 1 STAR
Hi Vadym,
I'm sorry that your parcel has been in transit so very long. I would be assuming that it was lost too if it were my parcel. That being said, there are a number of steps we need to follow be...

Rated 3 stars ... because I’m going to give Aust Post the benefit of the doubt here that the thirty dollars cash I mailed to Sydney on the 12/07/21 didn’t ( ?? ) disappear in transit ... but ... I have a Gumtree seller on the other end saying he did not receive it.
I sent cash ( standard post - not tracked - from an Australia Post post box at The Gap shopping centre precinct at 4pm 12/07/21 )
My decision to send cash was a goodwill gesture - as all of Sydney is in a strict lockdown - and I didn’t want the guy to have to traipse himself to ...
Read morehis local post office in Nora Heights ( seems to be an Australia Post Office on every Aussie Contact Tracing List ever written ) With Sydney’s current community transmission - and - the seller being unable to access his bank account due to some complications - I figured thirty dollars wasn’t worth withholding. He says he never received it - and I feel that his response is genuine.Hi Alana,
Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback....
Read more We don't recommend sending cash in the mail, and it's actually prohibited except when Registered Post, or a parcel service in conjunction with Extra Cover and Signature on Delivery is used. Due to the untracked nature of regular mail we aren't able to chase this one up for you as you're already aware. Please let us know if you've got any other questions. - CatHi Cat
Thanks for the cookie cutter one size fits all response. ...
Read more If you’d read my review thoroughly - I am aware Aust Post cannot track my parcel. How you can prohibit a client sending cash unless they pay your “ Anti-Flog” tax is quite ethically murky in my opinion - but hey, you’re on the pay roll - not me - so I’ll assume you’re correct. Also noted that you’ve missed the point of my posting was to warn people about the ( unproven ) dishonesty of other people on your payroll. Perhaps if Aust Post channelled more funding into supervision and less funding into damage control PR on consumer experience threads ... we wouldn’t need to pay extra for tracking. Just sayin.I run a medium sized business, send thousands of parcels a year and have spent tens of thousand of dollars with Australia post.
The service is revolting, we have constant issues with broken in the mail items, lost items or delivered to totally different places, we have experienced this as both the sender and recipient.
Just recently I have had to fight tooth and nail to get compensated for a package they stated was delivered and when I had a look at the pic the house was completely different, we desperately needed the product and had to not on...
Thanks for sharing your feedback, Yo_Tillie.
I can see we're discussing this with you privately, so we'll keep the conversation there to avoid any confusion....

Can lost parcel found out? Like after some time you found out parcel from somewhere like warehouse then can you deliver it?
Always seem to be long delays. Covid has well and truly died now and you would think the business would have enough knowledge by now on how to execute scenario planning regardless. They don't even bother with excuses anymore. It just seems to sit at 'received for processing for days before moving to the next state for yet more (eventual) processing. The so-called on time (7 days) gets changed to just say 'updated' with an extra week added on and no further information. Surely there is a more efficient way to manage the postal service by now. Why do Aus Post execs get so much for doing so little. So much wastage ...
The info shows Incorrectly sorted and forwarder to correct location. Actually, it arrived at the post office 3km away from my house last night and is now being sent back to the city (about 52km away). This means it will arrive with a delay of at least three days. Can I trouble you to make sure it doesn't get sent to further? No. AMQ575008301000935001
