What should I sell my 2001 Avan Poptop for ? I need some sort of a guide.
You might get $11,000. If your lucky. we sold our 2006 Leah ,Mark11 for $11,500. It was in A1condition and always garaged. I was a bit sorry to see it go. but husband was ill. So we sold and bought a motor home. Not as much room in it, but easy for me to drive
Just wondering if anyone knows if a 2013 Nissan Altima could tow a:
2003 Avan erin 17 ft ?
Do you think a Volkswagon Transporter Auto Campervan would tow a Avan Jack tare 1630 kg ATM 2030kg ,saw a nice van but hubby wont part with his VW !
Depends on which model Transporter. The later ones have 128 kw and 400nm of power with 2500kg tow capacity with brakes on the caravan, so would easily tow the Avan Jack, which is similar to the Tayla which we have. The earlier ones had a much lower output engine, so would struggle to keep up a decent road speed. We tow with a Ford Falcon Wagon which has engine output of 190kw and 385nm torque and tows the Avan really well. Hope that helps
Looking at purchasing Avan Oscar ll 2005, but around the roof it looks like paint/vinyl wrap is breaking away. Anyone know what could be the cause.
I would contact the nearest Avan distributor and ask if common problem and what it to cost of repair.
When negotiating price with the seller, have the repair cost discounted. This way you will be confident of no further problems after dealer repair. The Avan Oscar looks like a nice van.
We have had 4 previous vans and presently own a Avan Frances pop top, being very happy with it and the service provided by Avan.
Happy caravaning... Binny.
Thanks, contacted dealer in Adelaide and basically told if we were buying from them they would help but would not help otherwise. Fobbed me off on the phone.
I am looking at purchasing the 2008 The Tayla MKII model with dual axles. Some listings with different lengths (some indicating 16ft and 18f on same model). They look the same from the photos.
Does anyone know how many variances did Avan manufactured on this series?
What would be the max loaded weight of a 2005 pop top Jack serial no 7669783, Vin 6H3AVAN045m000134? The Tare wt is 1545.
We have just purchased a 2006 Avan Marion, presents well, 1 owner since new.
Anything I should be concerned about?
no everything should be fine. the only thing I don't like about mine is the screens, but they are nearly all like that now. we have put our Avan Mark 11 Leah on the market it's been a great van, have changed a few things put a extra door on the outside under the single bed. also took out the table and chairs and put in a office chair and fold away table. gave us a heap more room . only reason we are selling is husband had back operation, so we are going to buy a small motor home. but enjoy you travels
I am looking at buying my first pop top and looking at a avan roland 08 model I would be very gratefull for feed back on this van or avans in general? . regards Bernie
Do not buy an Avan!! These vans are poorly built, there is no quality control, & no customer service after you buy one. We have just purchased a new Avan & wouldn't recommend them at all. We have a very long list of faults & the company haven't even answered our letter with our concerns listed.
I agree with you Kate.I HAD a Aspire 525 P/T and did have problems with both the dealer in Penrith and A Van them selves.I wrote to A Van in Melb and got a reply from the dealer principal here in NSW with the following reply........QUOTE. If you have a GENUINE Then please contact me which i did and to date had no reply.
To their credit i rang A Van in Adelaide and they sorted my problem out in regards to a couple of issues in had over the phone Whilst in QLD.
I no longer have the Aspire now and have moved on to a bigger van.Funny thing tho was where we traded(Nov2016) the Aspire in the sales person asked me if any probs with the van and how did i find the service from A Van.Turns out this sales person worked for a A Van dealer ship before moving on.
