We recently replaced my grandparents' garage door with a motorised B&D Roll-A-Door. Mobile showroom made the selection process easy (particularly given we weren't able to make it to a showroom). The consultant was friendly but not pushy. Installation was rescheduled once but plenty of notice given. Went in without a hitch on the day.
At 90 years of age my Grandparents are over the moon with the new look and the novelty of a motorised garage door! Highly recommend, thankyou.

Retired friends of mine engaged this company to install a new garage door. They were required to pay in full prior to completion. They bestowed there trust in this company only to be treated like absolute garbage. See the images attached at the way the job was left. They called me to organise capping to be manufactured and installed. Exposed gal posts and welds was a finished product to them and they point blanked told my friends they would not and do not do anything further. They failed to inform them that it would be aesthetically ugly. Ev...en when asked to please organise to finish and be payed more money they said no we are done with this job and you. Completely disgusting an un Australian. If you're considering this company then think again.
Worthless product and even worse after sales service!
We had purchased their new model Control-A-Door Smart Opener just before Christmas 2019 to replace an ageing chain driven motor. The install took two attempts over two separate days as their technicians weren’t sure how this new model worked with its safety-lock features and also believed that they didn’t have all the required components as they weren’t able to connect the door opener to my local wifi network (A simple read through of the instruction manual after they had left fixed this though, you would think that a ‘qualified technician’ wou...ld be trained in this). Off to a great start, huh? Four weeks had passed with little to no usage as we had been away over the xmas/NYE break. 26 days after the install, the opener catches on its own ‘safety-lock’ feature upon opening and rather than stopping, it decided to use what torque it has to pull past the obstruction and continue to open. Obviously it was unsuccessful and as such, it has now bent the rail and warped the plates on the safety-lock feature. As of now, the door will not open or close. I’m presently stuck with a door in a mid-floating position, half open/half closed. Now what’s worse, is that B&D are now telling me that they will not come out to look at it without billing me for a technician! Apparently they had the install done by a ‘qualified dealer’ and as such, the warranty was through them, not B&D! I went through the B&D site to request a quote, THEY contacted me, THEY gave me the quote which I accepted! Now when something is wrong only 4 weeks later, they won’t stand by their product and honour their own warranty as it wasn’t specifically them who installed it, as they outsourced the work to someone closer to my location! I’ve been given a contact number for their installer/technician, yet they’re on a break until the 20th of January! So I now have a door that’s stuck halfway open and can’t close because of a bent, obstructed belt rail, and the only way I can get this fixed is by paying B&D’s technician for a call out! its only 4 weeks old! What happened to a seven (7) year warranty? ...and they claim to be ‘Australia’s most trusted and reliable’ garage door. That’s a joke, right? All I see is greed and a lack of responsibility to stand by your product! This product has given me no confidence that it is any way of better quality than the 12 year old door opener I had just replaced from Bunnings. They were quick and friendly to take my money, yet after the sale, it’s ‘not their problem’... but they’re happy to fix it for another marginal amount. You’ve been warned!
Great product, easy to install
Purchased a 'B&D Control-A-Door PowerDrive CADPD Garage Roller Door Opener' after 10 years of needing to get out of the car and manually open my garage roller door. Opener was easy to install (I was a first timer) and easy to program. My neighbour was impressed and also got one to replace his faulty one
Horrible product, Their safety beam, and ridiculous warranty terms. Stay away
I got that b&d garage door with my new house last year (23-08-18) and decided to additionally installed Smart remote wifi hub and Safety lock and Wireless Safety Beams. Simonds supervisor helped me to get the b&D technician to come and give me a quote for all that. All together it cost $1500 to $1700. I installed all of them about 3-4 months later I moved in. The Wireless Safety Beams was a pain in the back all the time. For the last couple of days, it just prevents the door to lock at all. I can't park my car in the garage as once the door ope...ned i won't be able to lock it again. I contacted B&D and their reply was "Your door and opener are past due for their 18 month service" and now it will cost of a service is $175. First of all, it is still not 18 months past. I also asked them to advise to just disconnect the Wireless Safety Beam as this is worst product your money can buy. Their reply was i can't do that by myself, i have to get the technician from B&D and either way they would charge $175. On their website, their warranty is 7 YEARS!!!! I am short of words to say anything else. I wanted to share my experience if that helps other buyers to decide to find a good company for garage door and especially garage door smart and security products.
Over Priced Service and Extra Work
Booked Service at $165 including first half hour of labour. Organised for weather strip to be glued to slab $147. Service man arrived 3:09 left 4:29 additional $120 labour charge ($40 per 15 minutes). Watch video footage of this serviceman and there was certainly no urgency in his movement and lost count of the number of times he had to go back to his car at my expense. He started filling out paperwork/invoice at approx 4:16pm but charged to 4:29pm.
I have no problem paying for a service but in this instance this guy was milking it for all it ...

I'm not sure but we paid for brand new doors and they installed very poor quality damage door, we send them so many videos as proof but they just playing around and around. Basically due to defective door we are not able to use it and we are literally scared while operating it. Very annoying noices coming while we operating it. I hope you guys come & installed brand new doors and operating kits. If you have any concern please speak to Ridgewater homes. As per my email to you both party I need solutions ASAP. Poor Customer Service
New home with Dixon - company was suppose to fix garage door before handover and didn't, customer service lied about repairs that were not carried out. 4 weeks and we are still waiting for the brand new door to work in our new Dixon home.
Not professional and poor service
My garage door of newly build, not even 12 months gone, issues started.
Few first issues were related to garage door opening and closing, stuck in between, called them, they serviced it but it then making more noise, called again, serviced then, seems all good.
But after few months, motor started to beep, called them 3 times, nobody appeared, it was under warranty when I raised beeping issue, beeping continued 3 to 4 days whenever you open or close the door. After one month I got to know they can't do anything and I will be charged if I want my motor to be checked by them.
My builder was Coral Homes, they have given garage door to B&D. I never ever recommended B&D doors to any one!!!
Warranty is rubbish
Had a double garage door installed with our new build, door looks good but electric motor only lasted 18 months before it died, b&d said even though it's under warranty I have to pay for a call out fee & labor (I have never come across a more dodgey warranty) ended up being cheaper to get a local business to fix it & was told that motor was 2 x smaller than what should be fitted, b&d didn't care & said it's within there specs, was given the option of repairing it but it will probably fail again or purchase the correct size motor for $850. Disappointing that b&d won't stand behind there product & warrant is basically useless, won't use them again.
Questionable technicians work for Band D roller doors Sydney!
My B&D 4 old model of about 15 years with no problems and no service for that period of time.
Recently had an issue with the electronics.
The roller door would close but on touching the ground would roll back up.
Called B&D Sydney to send out a technician fee $175, to diagnose problem.
Technician came and checked the casing by removing a couple of screws from the back and showed me some grey thick powder which he claimed was the
“ wear and tear of the bearings”
This apparently according to the technician, was the cause of the my problem.
Great efficient timely service
Very happy with our new door, installed today.
Installers were efficient, and offered clear instruction into the use of the door .All in all this has been a very positive experience.

Easily the best and Priced surprisingly competitively
As the developer of numerous warehouses and a proud family home owner, I can guarantee that B&D are By far the best quality product available in Australia, if not the World.
Easily the most secure door for my family and very user friendly and reliable. I Expected high prices, but in comparison, they are on par if not better than inferior competitors products and options so it’s obviously a great time to opt for an upgrade to your home or business garage door.
They’re innovation is well ahead of their competitors also I found.
We had a new door and moter installed last year, towards the end of last year it started not closing properly and we put in a warranty request with the installer, they charged us travel and a service charge because the door needs to be serviced once a year, although not even 12 months old and replaced a pin and rollers that were loose, they claim this is standard B&D policy
B&D Accredited Dealers
A 'B&D Accredited Dealer' installed a garage door which fell off it's support within 3 years of operation due to the workmanship of the dealer and cutting the spring pole too short during installation. Contact with the B&D State Manager (Mr James Velios) revealed no accountability for the 'B&D Accredited Dealer' so unsure about the validity of the accreditation. The only response from Mr Velious was an automated email advising the dates of his training course. Threadgold Architecture now only specify Merlin motors for the support, accounta...bility and honouring warranty's and to avoid paying a premium for a 'B&D Accredited Dealer' as the term is spurious. I assume all the 5 star reviews are paid for by B&D parent company Alesco Corp Ltd so shareholders receive a higher franked dividend. Investigation into Mr Ben Jones, WA B&D State Sales Manager, (aka 'yoda') reveals that he has placed a 5 star google review on every Western Australian 'B&D Accredited Dealers' website which is totally contrary to Google's Local Guide Policy as he's clearly not a customer. If you see 'yoda' recommending a B&D Accredited Dealer; possibly report to Google as 'conflict of interest' to mitigate any further deception in the marketplace.
Unscrupulous company, they used to be Harris door. Our door rusted within 3 years of installation and the only solution offered from them was to replace the door, which they were going to charge us more than the original price we payed for the door. Strongly do not recommend dealing with this company.

Do Not touch B&D products
Had a B&D panel lift installed with a wall remote for $600. In 2 years the Wall remote has degenerated and has a hole in it. Called gold coast Door center and then B&D - no help at all - wanted more money- this was the latest remote -cheap Quality stuff, so beware of this company
Terrible Customer Service!!!
I recently contacted B&D doors regarding out garage panel door that is under 2 years old. 2 plastic hinges broke i'm assuming to poor design. I a long back and forth conversation about how this is covered under warranty and they wanted to charge me $150.00 call out/service fee. Eventually they accepted to fix it at no charge. A technician came out and replaced the broken hinges but whilst doing so he bent the track causing a rubbing sound with the rollers. The technician offered me a service for a cash price of $80.00 which i accepted. He compl...eted 5 minutes of work and that was my 'Service'. I then contacted B&D regarding the rubbing sound and again they wanted to charge me $150.00 call out fee, after explaining that the issue was caused from the technician fixing the original problem they agreed to come out at no cost. i expressed that i wanted a different technician, but they sent me the same one. The technician again came out and after 45 minutes the issue is still there and he tells me that's the best i can do. He further damaged my wall by using a packer/spacer which was not needed and he left some of the track screws loose. After he left i applied some common sense and fixed the issue in 5 minutes. Customer service has been terrible, i will never ever look at this brand name again and will ensure all friends and family don't either. Please better train your staff and technicians.

We managed to get the add on for Smartphone control which is a real life saver when you have need to open up without keys or have a family enter the premises.

I am having functional and parts sourcing problems for an original Ancor Roll-A-Door. The operator was replaced roughly 7 years ago with an RDO-2V1SM. The safety interlock used with keyless remote fob is an ATA PE-2 (not sure of the age). Recently, I noticed that the receiver relay will start clicking frantically when there is nothing breaking the IR beam. The door will not work from the operator keypad, or, the remote key fob. Now, I notice that when the "clicking" stops, The relay will not open (or, close) when obstruction is encountered. I have disassembled, cleaned and re-aimed the transmitter and receiver. I have done everything required in the operator manual, as well. Is this a PE-2 problem? Also, I have been trying to find the extruded vinyl seal for the bottom of this door without success...it is not a typical size. Can someone please help me? Thanks.

how do I get access to the "Code Set" button to reprogramme my spare RMD809 Remote Control to my new residence Roll-a-door. It is covered by a clear plastic cover that seems firmly fixed in place..
