Had to chase shipping
Placed an order online. I had to email to follow up shipping when I hadn’t received a shipping number for almost a week.
No follow up, or apology.
At least I have a shipping number now.
It's bad enough going through 90% of a purchase before the shipping price is revealed, but Baby Barn goes one step further by advertising prices that are ex-GST (but without indicating that is the case) and then you find at the completion of checkout that GST is then added to both that item price and the shipping charges. Baby Barn needs to be up front at the beginning - it's clearly a deceptive trading practice and I think its actually illegal for retail prices to be advertised in that way. Shameful conduct and no need for it. I cancelled the online order and went elsewhere for the item I was after.
Terrible in store service
Booked in to have a capsule check... Waited in store for fifteen mins before anyone even acknowledged us. Other customers walked in after us, asking for a capsule check (without appt) and the young man assisted. It was another customer that said to the staff that we'd been in there longer then them and the staff said in a brash manner 'I'm busy and will deal with them after'. We walked out in disgust!

Great prices online but differ instore, Service also needs improvement!
I started comparing prices online for a number of products for my bub and Baby Barn was the cheapest, I prefer to look at products before buying them so I really liked that I was able to drop into the store and have a look which I am glad I did as I often end up with something completely different. But buyers beware - if you intend on doing this make sure you look on their website first for the price as with most things I have purchased in this store the price has been significantly higher than they have listed online and you have to speak up a...bout it. I was very disappointed with the service after letting them know I saw it on their website for a lower price, they seemed very rude about it and not very helpful after that, this has happened on numerous occasions. I recently purchased a carseat from them for my bub as she has grown out of her capsule, this was at 9am on a Monday morning, I was the only customer instore. I asked if they could fit it, they guy umed and arrd and said he was very busy, this is once I have said it was on their website for a cheaper price, he opened his diary to an empty page, I even offered to come back throughout the day, after continuing to um and ar he said he could do it but it would have to be a very quick fitting, took 5 mins with a 1 minute tutorial - I paid their fitting fee for this aswell. Not very happy, I then went home and sat down and read the instruction manual. I will be shopping at Pram Warehouse from now on, as their prices match Baby Barn and their service is amazing. Cheaper Prices Customer Service, Not very helpful, Cheaper prices online than instore unless you speak up
