I really like fitted nappies for day naps witha PUL cover and overnight with a woolen cover. The snaps help you get the right fit for your child. One downfall for cloth nappies is that overtime the elastic degrades and no longer gives a snug fit around the legs or back. Unless this is repaired it is no use using the nappy as you will get leaks. The bamboo is a very absorbent material and great for long naps with a cover.
Newborn to toilet training
Bamboo material great for the skin and absorbency
Bamboo boosters help adjust absrbency
Great second hand market for cloth nappies
Need a cover
Elastic can degrade
i think these are a great buy and have recommended them to many friends. i love how easy they are to use and the price is reasonable. they have lasted well and are still good after more than 2 years.
i love the ease of use and the lack of velcro - the studs mean they stay in better condition for longer. they are fantastic for overnight use as they are really absorbent.
only problem is when it is very wet or cold, the drying time can be 48 hours or so. not good if you have a limited number in your stash.
Great quality nappy for birth to potty and great value if you go with a bulk package from someone like [url censored]
easy to use, works really well, absorbent, washes well, good value
when my little got big they were more tight on him than another brand I use but all in all great
If you live somewhere where there is plenty of water these might be OK, but I simply did not feel that it was appropriate to use them and have reverted to eco-friendly disposables. In addition I just didn't find them to be working very well at all.
- They look cute
- They make you feel as though you are being environmentally friendly
- I found these nappies to be useless in terms of not leaking. My son does wee a lot, and the nappies couldn't contain it overnight at all despite boosters which made him look utterly ridiculous his bottom was s...
I love, love, LOVE these nappies! They're incredibly soft, easy to take care of and you get that warm, fuzzy feeling from knowing you're doing something good for the environment by using them.
Gorgeously soft and very absorbent. This nappy is able to be boosted to customise to your child. It can be used during the day or overnight.
There's not much that I dislike, but it's a little bulky. Also, my baby doesn't like the feel of wetness against her skin, so I need to used a microfleece liner so she couldn't feel it. As they're bamboo, they can also take a little longer to dry.
Before buying this nappy I did a lot of research and careful consideration on what I wanted from a cloth nappy. Baby beehinds have a great reputation and 95% of the users (Australian & international) have had very positive experiences and particular praise was the absorbency & natural bamboo material. Unfortunately, I belong to the 5% of users who did share the experiences with the majority. I hated the fact that my bub's bottom was so padded up it was like a ball, also that the moisture was against his skin - though I'll try a fleece liner ...as I've read this really helps to wick moisture. Now I'm into BumGenius and LOVE them, they wick moisture, is as easier to use, quick dry, much trimmer than babybeehinds and changes are quicker due to no separate cover/nappy system Vibrant choice of colours, made from bamboo which is environmentally friendly and natural fiber on my bub, fantastic customer service - a dream to deal with! The bamboo doesn't wick moisture and is very bulky. Need to team this nappy up with a cover which adds to the bulk
Wish I bought more of these nappies. They are really easy to use, wash and dry. My baby looks really cute wearing these plus I save lots of money not having to buy disposables.
Very easy to use, very cute, fits well, doesn't need a cover, heaps of nice colours to choose from.
I have used these on my baby from 10 weeks, he is now 16 weeks. They are the first and only cloth nappies I use (as well as the BBH multi-fits).They are easy to use once you are used to it, they fit under his clothes (although are bulkier than disposables - to be expected) and I have only had the very odd leak (less leaks than disposables though!). They wash well, and I look forward to using them for a long time yet.
One size fits from birth to toilet training, soft natural fibres, used with the PUL covers from BBH = no leaks!
Fantastic nappies allround. Make these nappies at least half of your stash. Excellent for nap time and overnight, and you can use the boosters with all your other nappies. Along with the reasonable pricing and excellent customer service from baby beehinds its hard to do better.
Very good quality and great price. These nappies never leak and are hard wearing. You get two boosters with them which are really handy- you can even team them with other nappies in your stash.
They are a little slower to dry than cotton nappies but you have to expect that with an absorbant nappy.
Really like them, esp. for naps/long sleeping stretches and paired with a wool cover. No leaks. I guess they are "bulky" but that is of no concern to me or my babies so no complaints there. They line dry quite quickly for me. Really happy with them overall.
have lasted several years and children--washed and worn well. Very absorbent and the snap in boosters mean they wash up and dry quite well. they snap down to a very small size.
I haven't found them AS great once baby gets bigger/on last snap setting--they don't seem to be as long fitting as some other one size fits most nappies.
These nappies are great, really absorbent and easy to clean. I prefer to use them on days when we aren't leaving the house as they aren't as snug and cute as the sized nappies. They can be a bit complicated to put together, but it's easy once you get the hang of it.
Very absorbent, never had any leaks. Can increase the absorbency by adding boosters which is good for night time use or for heavy wetters. Saves money in the long run as one size fits most. Bamboo is nice and soft. Easy to clean.
Can take a while to dry. Doesn't look as cute as the ...
These are a brilliant overnight nappy, I've never had a leak from one (using mostly wool covers overnight/PUL during the day). They are a little bit bulky and give a mushroom butt appearance, but didn't seem to bother my baby at all, in fact having a rounded butt helped her to roll more easily, which makes her happy. The bamboo is really nice and soft, and although it takes a fair while to dry, is not too bad.
Lovely and soft and SO super absorbent
Slightly bulky, particularly on newborns, takes quite a long time to dry, have to use a cover.
I call these my "bullet proof" nappy. If I think my son is going to have a big sleep overnight, this is the nappy I choose. Even if it gets quite wet, it has never leaked (and some others I have do leak). Choose a good cover to go overtop and these are fantastic. The nappy is bulky compared with other MCNs, but at home overnight... who cares?? I am more interested in a comfy bub and no leaks.
Drying time is average (not the best, not the worst) and they come out nice and soft after line-drying. Haven't had any problems with staining and they look good after a number of washes.
These are so absorbent! Super soft. I used them right from birth - perfect as a night nappy.
Very bulky compared with others in my nappy stash.
I use these at night time for their excellent absorbency. I used to use them through the day as well, but I find putting one on a day is enough as my son flips over at any given chance! I use these with the night time booster and the smooth cover (not wool as recommended) and almost never have leaks. I say almost never, because if he wakes a lot during the night and feeds a lot then the nappy may leak. My son has never had nappy rash as there are no chemicals etc and love their softness.
getting two layers on a bub who likes to flip!
Fantastic nappy! I've used these nappies for two children and I've never had a leak. They are easy to use and very absorbant. They were a little bulky on the children when they were little but they quickly grew into them and it was great not to have to buy new sized nappies every time they had a growth spurt.
super absorbant, differnt sized pads can be snapped in easily, great for night time
press studs can be fiddly in the middle of the night, velcro would be better
I love , love these nappies ! The price is unbeatable , they wash up great . The fit on my baby then toddler was great value for money & they have a wide range of colours . I love how they offer layby & their specials are excellent . Customer service is second to none . I would only use these MCN LOVE THEM !
Fantastic value , great quality lush colours . Quick drying , fit right through from newborn to toilet training .
I don't really have any cons for these nappies .
I would recommend these nappies over the hemp ones for absorbency. They high absorbency makes them very slow to dry although it gets easier in summer. Five minutes in the dryer after taking them off the line makes them all nice and fluffy. I found them a bit bulky on my baby when he was very small, because of this I started using them more when he was about 2 months old. I only use the Bamboo nappies for night time and use a more compact terry fitted nappy with a booster or a regular flat nappy in the day for a better fit.
This is a great absorbent night time nappy. Good adjustable fit and I like that you can move the absorbency to where it's needed.
It takes a long time to dry
After trying one other nappy (a popular all in one pocket nappy by another brand), I started using these exclusively when my daughter was six weeks old. I use them with the PUL covers and wool covers and bamboo booster at night and have never had a leak. My daughter is now 8 months old and still fits them well. They're easy to wash, nothing seems to stain them and they're easy to use. My daughter is now in family daycare 3 days a week, so I use disposables on these days. If these were all in ones, I would probably send them to daycare with...her, but given that they are not, I don't. I have about 30 of these, 8 PUL covers and 2 wool covers and found this to be plenty, even when she was in them all the time. Good colour range, environmentally responsible, easy to deal with. Didn't fit my daughter until she was about 6 weeks old (and she wasn't tiny at 3.78kg or 8 pound 3 ounces at birth). Not as easy as an all in one nappy.
I love these, I use them half of the time for my boy and disposables the rest of the time. I have found them much better than Pea Pods (they leaked). Although they are bulky I think this may be a good thing for when he starts to walk as there will be some cushioning for when he falls down.
Great colours, very absorbent (have not had any leaks)
I have now been using this nappy extensively for 16 months in what most would consider a small stash. While showing some signs of wear, it continues to go strong. Signs of wear would indicate this nappy won't make it through more than one or two babies and would need to replaced on the second - still a great saving when you look at the cost of disposables. This one does not last overnight anymore - since around 12months, even with a wool cover/soaker.
Still fits at 16 months on an average sized bub - there was a point that I thought it might no...
I would thoroughly recommend these nappies. I started using them with my bub even as a two-week old as my supplier suggested tucking in the frills for a newborn which I found worked for a better fit. They are ultra-absorbent but be prepared for the long drying time!
Great absorbency, I have never had a leak with these nappies! Very good quality cloth nappy.
They take a full day to dry in the sun due to the absorbency of the nappy
These are great nappies, but they are so expensive to purchase I would be certain that you are going to use cloth nappies before spending the money.
A very neat cloth nappy, and just about anyone can figure it out. Great if you are using cloth and the person babysitting is scared they won't be able to do it. I found these easier to put on at night time, when I'm tired, than any other type of nappy, even a disposable. I also love the bright colours.
Not quite as absorbent as I would have liked. Don't get me wrong I love this nappy, but would still like it to be more absorbent. It can also be a pain having to use a nappy cover too. Also these nappies are quite expensive. It isn't preferable to soak the nappies.
Fun, user friendly, great for the environment-my favourite MCN! Get great discounts when buying bulk from the website which is great and you can layby as well.
Everything is great about this modern cloth nappy-great price, quality and value for money. Easy to use and is great for an overnight nappy. I have used these for two kids and I am addicted!
sometimes the snaps make the fit difficult. I miss the coloured bamboo-they are only available in natural now :(
I adore these nappies. I use them daily with my son and will buy them again when I need to top up our nappy collection. They are a fantastic fit and made from a gorgeous fabric. Thoroughly recommend them.
They are so soft! Wonderfully absorbent and so easy to adjust making them usable for babies varying size. They fit snugly around the leg preventing leaks or mess escaping. They wash well and stay soft. The different inserts make them adjustable for your babies varying needs.
They take a really long time to dry - even in Summer.
For ease and comfort I would stick to a pocket nappy, but if you want a bamboo nappy that is super breathable and absorbent this is a good option for overnight, but not really for going out unless you have a huge bag.
They are breathable, which means less nappy rash.
Because they use inserts, rather than a pocket, if the baby does a big poo that gets outside the liner, it gets caught on the sides and in between the layers. Also when you hold it over the toilet to spray it off (we had a little squirt) the layers often fall into the toilet, becau...
