Gone into administration do a charge back if possible
Found out today after calling them that they went into administration, their phones ring out, their warehouse can't receive any more voice mails. If you bought anything and didn't get it do a charge back with your bank ASAP. I luckily got 2 items from them 2 weeks ago, but we still are in the hole about $200 from something we lay buyed and their up sell (since we spent >= $1000) gave us a "$400 photography voucher" no doubt will be dishonored.
My wife and I now have to try and get a new mattress/protector weeks before Christmas where finances are tight.
If anyone has any recommended recourse for getting the money back let me know.
CAUTION: Dodgy business practice
Purchased a stroller on the 16 November, received notification on the 18 November that would take 2-3 weeks for the delivery as out of stock. As we need this stroller as we are travelling overseas I cancelled the order and was told I would get a refund in 2-3 business days. Still waiting. After multiple calls and again the promise of a refund - still nothing.
I call now and can't leave a message as the mailbox is full. No response to emails. And, yes the website is under construction. I have received no notification that the business is liquidation, however, I believe the previous posts on this site as we are having a similar experience with this business.
Baby and Toddler town Marsden Park closed.
Baby and Toddler Town have closed. I knew something fishy was going on. I ordered a bath and stand early October and was advised (after they took my money) that the item was out of stock! Every time I called I was told it would be delivered the following week. It was not delivered in time for the baby shower and wasn't even delivered before the baby was born (yesterday). I realised something was amiss when I called and left a message and no one called me back. Then when I called again it said mailbox was full. I called the store directly numer...ous times and no one answered. I even rang the store next door to them at Marsden Park to see if they were still open. My emails were answered with automated replies and their website said it was under maintenance. I decided to drive up there yesterday and just as the lift opened a few of their staff were coming out pushing trolleys full of stock. When I asked what was going on they said stocktake. I called them out on that and barged my way into the shop. It was being cleared out but I was not leaving without my refund. They called the manager and she realised I was angry and wasnt going anywhere. Surprise surprise. They pulled a bath and stand out of their hat! And gave me $20 out of the till after I questioned the money I paid for shipping and how much it cost for petrol and tolls to get there. The staff said they didnt know what was happening which I find hard to believe. Why wasnt the family from the family owned business there to deal with complaints and to fill the orders. It is illegal and an absolute disgrace that they were selling products online and taking your money without filling the orders. They were obviously aware they were going into liquidation and wanted to fill their coffers with no intention of delivering. I feel sorry for anyone who go ripped off by them. Contact PayPal if you paid via them and report them to the authorities. Good luck.

Company does not have the stock to fulfill customers orders.
Items online are showing as 'In stock' but when I made the order. The next day I received an email stating that the items were not in stock and they didn't expect the stock to be replenished for another 1-2 weeks.
I have since emailed them back, with no reply! I have tried calling them several times and a recorded message says that no one can take the call and to leave a voice message, only to have it go to voice message and have it say that you cannot leave a message as the message...
Worst experience ever.
Put in an order almost two months ago. I received half of it, when questioned about other half was told out of stock, but would be available. Shortly turned into 4 weeks. Rang again said I would another two weeks and contact them. Meantime received a dispatch notice. Tracking no. did not work, rang again . . .told the courier didn't actually pick up on the Tues but the Friday. Waiting and more waiting, rang again, told the courier company often didn't scan in deliveries but would have in the next two days. 4 days on . . .nothing, keep trying to...ring . .no answer . . .leave message . . .no call back. Go to website to write email . . .website down. I am guessing I have lost my money. Thanks Baby and Toddler Town . . .love your Christmas Spirit!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
Very Poor Customer Service
We purchased a Boori Compact Cot, mattress, sheets etc on 13/09/2019 and we still have not received these items. We have sent multiple emails (5+) chasing the delivery of these items and we were told they could dispatch what they have ready to send but we still have not received these items one (1) month later. Very disappointed as we purchased these items in good faith hoping they would be here to transition our baby girl from her bassinette to a cot and we haven't been able to do this to date. I have now sent an email using the template pr...ovided by the Office of Fair Trading Qld in the hope that we might be able to resolve this issue or get a refund if not we will proceed with lodging a formal complaint through the Office of Fair Trading in Qld and NSW Fair Trading.

Poor inventory management means you may be waiting a very long time for your order.
Firstly the positive, the pricing is reasonable and so was the shipping charges. Website wasn't too bad either and I could find what I wanted and order (although the reward points system is a bit ambiguous as to when you actually earn the points).
Unfortunately the downside to the experience is a significant deficiency whereby either Baby & Toddler Town are incompetent at inventory management or they deliberately mislead customers as to whether (or when) they have stock. Like others posting here, I bought several items in early October which ...were supposedly available (and paid with Afterpay), but subsequently found out they were not in stock but would be a week or maximum two weeks delayed. Two weeks went by, and I didn't hear anything so I have had to chase them myself for updates for which they are not forthcoming. They've missed the subsequent delivery dates a couple of more times now (and it's now mid November) and funnily enough, I think all the Afterpay installments have been charged to my credit card. Overall, it's not worth saving a few dollars here vs buying from Baby Bunting or Amazon especially if you want the items to still be relevant/fit your baby by the time they arrive. I contrast this experience with buying the same brand items from Amazon where Boori called me to confirm I was home to take delivery... THE NEXT DAY (and sure enough, it came). To the credit of Baby & Toddler Town though, they were able to send me one critical item (a Boori mattress) after I called (multiple times) and expressed my disappointment and issue (of having the Boori cot from Amazon but no mattress to use it) and magically staff in the warehouse happened to find one and ship it out within a couple of days (although in hindsight, I suspect it may have been someone else's order. Sorry!)... as for the other Boori accessories and other items I ordered, I'm still waiting on these. So all in all, I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone who actually wants to receive the item in a reasonable timeframe.

They advertise products they don't have. You are lucky if you receive your order in 4-5 weeks. And don't waste your time trying to contact them, it's completely useless: they just don't reply your emails and don't pick up the phone.

If I could give a minus I would, I ordered the tandem seat plus adaptors for my pram which was advertised in the catalog once Id placed my order I then received an email stating Id was out of stock and Id be waiting 3-4 weeks I thought why advertise something you don't have in stock anyway once 4 weeks came I hadn't received my products or any more emails or calls stating when Id receive them I called 5 times and each time I was told that an order would be placed that week its now been 2 months and I've only just received my item today. Poor communication and nasty service will never buy anything from this shop again

They advertised a product (a high chair tray) in stock, then took my money, and emailed me saying they were out of stock, and I am still waiting for delivery 1 month later with no date of when it will be sent to me just apologies via email whenever I follow up. It's illegal in Australia to advertise that you have stock in order to make the sale, when in actual fact you don't have it. Very very poor site will not buy from them again. I have given them one more day to have it 'delivered' (they keep saying they are expecting delivery this/last week etc), and if it does;t come I've demanded a refund and will buy from some one who actually can honour their word. Waste of time.
Don't buy from Baby & Toddler Town!
Nothing is ever in stock but they don't tell you until after you have paid. Took 7 weeks to receive my last order. Terrible communication and customer service, I kept being told it was on its way. They never take responsibility. Avoid this site!
One of the worst customer service experiences ever
I ordered a baby bath, stand and bamboo towel online as a baby shower present, 1 1/2 weeks before the baby shower. All items were listed as on stock. Several days later I got an email advising 2 items were out of stock and the estimated time would be 3 weeks. At the 5 week mark and after zero additional communication I rang to chase it up. It took 3 phone calls. I was told it would be an additional 2 weeks then another 5 days to deliver. By this point the baby was several weeks old and would soon be too big for the stand.
I told them it wasnt...good enough and asked them to either cancel the order and give me a full refund or throw in another $25 towel to the order. The lady went and asked a manager and came back to tell me they could do the extra towel. The shipping date was late by yet another week on what they told me. The package arrived without the agreed extra towel. There was also no note despite me ordering and paying for a greeting card. I will NEVER shop here again. It had been the worst service I think Ive experienced ever.

Never buy from Baby And Toddler Town
I have never had a bad experience with baby online stores, until now. I ordered a product on the 12 Aug 19 and was advised a week later that is was out of stock and would be sent in about 3-4 weeks. I gave them the benefit of doubt and happily began my wait. Around the time I should have been getting a notification of the items being sent, I followed up with online message inquiring on the progress of my order. This was replied via an email, which stated that the item was still out of stock and would be another few weeks off being back in stock.... Early last week I attempted to contact the company via a telephone call, which proved to be very difficult as the line was busy for over two hours. After getting hold of someone I advised that I no longer wanted the order as I sourced it from another online baby store (three days from order to my house). I was informed that the order would cancelled shortly and my money would be refunded. The attached image is of the order as it stands today (13 Oct 19), as it clearly states this order has not been cancelled and no money has be refunded. This experience has been a very disappointing and the lack of support from Baby and Toddler town appalling. I implore any parent, care giver or relative who is contemplating buying items from this store please reconsider.
This company is a sham do not purchase from their online sale.
I ordered a bumbleride indie pram from this website 6 weeks ago. At the time it was listed as “in stock”. It has been listed on their website as “in stock” ever since and is still for sale. They do not have this item in stock. They have not attempted to contact me in any way since they took the money for the pram off my credit card on 17th August. Originally they said delivery in about a week. I called a week later when I hadn’t received an email confirming that my item had been shipped. They couldn’t find my order and had attached the wrong na...me to it. Finally after emailing back and forward for over a week they found it but said it wasn’t in stock. They said it would be delivered in two weeks. Two weeks later I called again (still no communication from them) they said it wasn’t in stock but expected in it into their warehouse on 26th Sep. I called on 27th September (today) and they don’t have a date when it will arrive in their warehouse so I cancelled my order. Hopefully I get my money back, but I have concerns as they are clearly some sort of fraudulent scam, not a real business. Overall terrible experience. Do not order through this website!!!
Won't be shopping again
Since having good experiences in store, I've placed two online orders. Both times items have been out of stock (while not being listed as so). Two months later I've had to ask for a refund (After twice being told two to three weeks wait on two different products). The only updates on my purchases were after I'd enquire- days or weeks later, if at all. I had to ask for the items that WERE in stock to be sent. Baby gear doesn't have a long usage life, what a waste of time.

Terrible Service & Now Spamming My Mobile
Service is slow, takes longer than what they quote to receive your products. I've asked them to stop sending me text messages but they keep doing it anyway! Company seems to care only about profit and not the customer experience.
Extremely poor service. Missing pieces
Waited over 2 months for an item to be delivered. Items went on sale again to the public before mine were delivered. Once arrived parts were missing. Sourced missing parts myself as it just wasn’t worth the hassle of contacting them again.
No positive comments unfortunately. Plenty of baby shops out there for future purchases.
I ignored the reviews and ordered a cot and a pram. What a surprise. Both out of stock. Money was taken but no communication on when the cot would be available for pick up. I am now stressed and worried as my big ticket items are in doubt of being here on time. The store has not even received my order 1 week after an online order. You CANNOT get through to these people on the phone. I was just put on hold and then phone down. Shameful.
Terrible; take your money but don't have the goods in stock
As per other reviews, I placed an order and they took payment straight away, but I then received an email 4 days later stating the items were not in stock and that it would be another 3-4 weeks before they will be available. There was no offer or option to cancel the order, given the inconvenience caused.
I have tried to contact them via email about this, and get another generic email stating they will 'try to get back to me within a few days'. So in other words, they don't actually have the goods to sell and provide absolutely 0 customer se...rvice. Based on the poor reviews here, I am wishing I went with the many more reputable and reliable stores and avoided Baby and Toddler Town all together. Babies grow and change quickly, 3-4 weeks is a LONG time to wait for something you need NOW. That's assuming they actually do come through with the goods in that time, which I am feeling doubtful about. Other stores will not sell you something that is not stocked (which as a previous reviewer pointed out is ILLEGAL), and will deliver the item within a few days. I strongly discourage anyone shopping with Baby and Toddler Town, and certainly wont be again.
Avoid this place!
We purchased 3 items from the online store which was showing as in stock at the time. A day later we recieved an email stating 2 out of 3 items were out of stock and that we needed to wait 2 to 3 weeks, unacceptable! This company will sell you products that they undoubtedly know they have no stock of.
In the meantime, we missed out on a sale for the same items at a different store. We weren't offered a refund until we asked for it. Avoid this place!

Hi everyone, Has anyone had any progress with speaking to Fair Trading?
I lost $1500 on a bugaboo, received an email saying it was on back order for 2-3 weeks, was provided a $50 voucher which I used and topped up with more money to order Bugaboo accessories, only to AGAIN receive an email saying all items were on back order 2-3 weeks (all paid for with debit card so my bank has no options for me).
From these reviews it appears the store was knowingly selling stock they never had or couldn't fulfill.
This appears to have been going on for 6 months +, which surely must be illegal?
The company is in liquidation. Did you receive an email from them to advise the matter? Bad luck to me too, I lost $1010 for Egg stroller. I paid by Zip not credit card & could not get money back as could not dispute or reverse transaction. Extremely angry but ...what can we do?
Yes I did.. I was more curious around whether fair trading could do anything as it sounds as though they had been trading insolvent with knowledge they had no stock for months and months... I cant believe we have no protection as consumers if not using credit!
Has anyone actually received there items?? Despite the mess around from the company?? Did you eventually receive it?
I haven’t received yet but they have dispatched it on the day they said they were expecting stock when I enquired, so fingers crossed I get it soon!
