I ordered a baby Egg stroller on Oct 3rd and received an email in 2 days later advised no stock, back ordered 3-4 weeks. 3-4 weeks I emailed back and still not has stock. And I cannot wait longer and requested for a refund. I got a refund in 2 days & advised stock will be mid Nov
I then wait till mid Nov & re-ordered. Then they said another 4 weeks. I said how can it be & requested for a refund again. 1 week already and still has not received a refund yet. Im so worry now.

Never usually write reviews, but had to warn DO NOT BUY
ordered a stroller which said in stock, recieved an email 2 days later stating it wasnt in stock and would arrive the following monday. Monday had been and gone, i emailed 3 times, messaged on facebook 3 times and no response. Then when i called they told me several more weeks till it would be in stock. I then said no im not waiting any longer. They said i would recieve a refund in two days... its now been two days and they have replied to my original emails stating it was put of stock for a few more weeks!! So now i have no idea when or if im ...getting my money back. I tried to call but there was no answer and the place you leave a message was full. Shock horror. What an awful experience this was. I wish so badly that i had read reviews before buying. Dont waste your time!!

Illegally sells products they don’t stock & accused me of fraud for reporting to my bank & fair trading
I placed an order two months ago with this company. Two weeks after the order (& money was taken) I still did not receive a tracking or dispatch email. I made several attempts at contact (phone & emails) before taking the matter further with my bank and fair trading NSW. My bank refunded me because the company refused to respond to requests for the credit card dispute. Fair trading also contacted the company in August 2019. After a month, fair trading told me the company claimed to tell me (despite providing evidence to dispute this) that my it...ems weren’t in stock. At this stage I indicated to both the bank and fair trading I would immediately return the goods if they were actually posted out. My bank refunded me and suspiciously after complaining I got a dented box with a giant hole in it at the end of August. Much to my surprise in mid September, the company now contacted me accusing me of fraud for claiming a full refund with my bank. Additionally they made a second refund payment which wasn’t the full amount - had they communicated they did this earlier they wouldn’t be in this situation. I have no issue with sorting out the second refund payment but angry they were able to respond within an hour for money vs months for missing orders. As I’m NOT a thief and very transparent; I did return the smashed parcel box and all contents inside. They have refused to answer how they will confirm the items have been received back.
Wish I could rate 0 star
I ordered multiple items from baby and toddler town THREE MONTHS ago. A few days following my order I was sent an email stating that my items were not in stock, despite them still being available on the website. The email also stated that the items should be back in stock in 2-3 weeks time, I was disappointed but to me that wasn’t that far away so I didn’t kick up a fuss. 3 weeks go by and I hadn’t heard anything from them so I sent an enquiry through their website, I got an automatic response saying that they were experiencing high volumes of ...emails and would get back to me in a few days. At this point I was getting impatient so I decided to call them. It turns out that 2 of the three items I had ordered were still out of stock, one item was expected within the week and the other had no estimated time of arrival as the suppliers had not given a timeframe. The lady on the phone said that she could send out a partial delivery once the second item arrived, to which I agreed. A week later (two months after I had originally ordered) I received the two items, however one of them items - a baby towel came with dirty finger prints all over the packaging. It’s now been three months since first ordering, I sent them an email about a weekend a half ago asking about my final product and was responded with another automatic payment email. I never heard back from them. On Friday I ordered the same item from baby bunting (my baby is due in 2 weeks so I literally can’t wait any longer), it is now Tuesday and I already have the product. I contacted baby and toddler town again on Friday and asked to cancel the remaining item but no response. After reading so many reviews from this site I can see that a lot of people are having similar issues and that it’s been going on on for quite some time. (Don’t look at their site reviews, somehow they’re all 5 stars?). I’m so shocked that they are still in business and are allowed to run such a dodgy company.
Re worst company ever....same for me!
My experience is identical to the other reviewer 'Worst company ever' I have exactly the same story with completely different products and also wish I had read more reviews. I just called them and asked for refunds for two orders (a significant amount of money). They shouldn't advertise products that can't supply within a reasonable time frame (3 months in my case) particularly for babies who grow rather quickly! I will also go to consumer affairs if my money is not refunded.
Excellent customer service
I ordered several items and while one was initially out of stock I was quickly advised of this. Best to pick up the phone to speak to someone as I found everyone I dealt with to be very friendly and helpful. Even though I erroneously order 2 of my 3 items (one by mistake and one by not reading the description fully) they were happy to exchange one for the correct item and refund the other that I did not need. Great to deal with.
Just Plain Bad
I ordered a $400 baby monitor online and around 48 hours later I got a call to say it was out of stock and will be back in the warehouse in 1-2 weeks. I questioned why it was sold online while it was out of stock but ultimetaly I accepted it and it was delivered 2 weeks later.
2 months of use and the camera stopped working. I looked at their warranties and return page and it said the best thing to do was contact them so I sent them an email. There was no reply after 24 hours so I sent another email, another 24 hours passed, still no reply so ...I called them and was told that the "repair lady" will get back to me. This was on a Tuesday. On Tuesday night after no response I contacted the manufacturer and they sent out a replacement power cord which I received on Wednesday afternoon, this fixed the issue. Still no response from Baby and Toddler Town. I ended up receiving an email on Friday afternoon that said "With Oricom they do like to deal direct with you to trouble shot over the phone please call them on 0245748888 and they may be able to work this out for you over the phone." 5 days to get this very basic copy and paste response. It is standard practise to first make contact with the retailer so they can provide advise on next steps or returns but 5 days for a response is far too long, especially when it comes to an essential baby safety item. I will not buy from them again based on this experience.
Nothing but disappointment
At the beginning of March I ordered the grotime retro cot package and the citi mini gt pram and was told this would come the middle of may beginning of June.
Closer to the end of may I called to confirm if my items had arrived. Low nd behold I was told the chest and pram had arrived but nothing else. After calling and following up several times they agreed to have these items all transported to me two hours away free of charge.
After calling to find out when these would come and not receiving an answer I got a phone call on Monday saying they ...
Never got what we paid for, ignored me when I demanded a refund
I ordered a cot online from Baby and Toddler Town in February, after several delays it was delivered 2 months late in April with damage. The replacement cot never arrived and Baby and Toddler Town refuse to take my calls or process my refund.
Sadly it’s not just me, it seems like many expecting parents are left hanging by this sham business.
Do not do business with Baby and Toddler Town!
Questions & Answers
Hi everyone, Has anyone had any progress with speaking to Fair Trading?
I lost $1500 on a bugaboo, received an email saying it was on back order for 2-3 weeks, was provided a $50 voucher which I used and topped up with more money to order Bugaboo accessories, only to AGAIN receive an email saying all items were on back order 2-3 weeks (all paid for with debit card so my bank has no options for me).
From these reviews it appears the store was knowingly selling stock they never had or couldn't fulfill.
This appears to have been going on for 6 months +, which surely must be illegal?
The company is in liquidation. Did you receive an email from them to advise the matter? Bad luck to me too, I lost $1010 for Egg stroller. I paid by Zip not credit card & could not get money back as could not dispute or reverse transaction. Extremely angry but ...what can we do?
Yes I did.. I was more curious around whether fair trading could do anything as it sounds as though they had been trading insolvent with knowledge they had no stock for months and months... I cant believe we have no protection as consumers if not using credit!
Has anyone actually received there items?? Despite the mess around from the company?? Did you eventually receive it?
I haven’t received yet but they have dispatched it on the day they said they were expecting stock when I enquired, so fingers crossed I get it soon!
Did anyone receive there refund ?
