Absolute waste of money! Instructions are useless too. It turned my zucchini into total slush. For knows how the carrot would have gone! Don’t waste your money!
This product is a flop – The idea is a great idea but I have bought two of them and each time the handle has broken which is a shame because it could be a good product Show details
Absolute rubbish – Turned zucchini half into a mush and the other half uncut. Tried with a carrot but it didn’t work at all. Can’t use with holding the handle as the top fell off. Could feel the crank handle was flimsy and would likely break. Bought today, back to shop tomorrow. Complete rubbish. Show details

Love it!! – Works perfectly well. Doesn’t slide on the bench. Easy to use and clean. Great to be able to use zucchini in a different way as I have a glut of them from the vege garden. Zoodles are a great alternative to pasta! Not sure why it gets such bad reviews here.. Show details
I couldn't be happier with my Baccarat Spiralizer – I had to replace my old Paderno spiralizer when the crank handle fell off It & I was pleasantly surprised at how good the Pete Evans Baccarat Spiralizer Is. It disassembles to wash easily after use & makes really good vegetable noodles. For a $29.99 purchase price, you can't go wrong
Even the husband loves using it – I (we) love our spiraliser. Such an easy and fun gadget to use. We spiralise most nights of the week. As I am gluten intolerant I love it even more for the zoodles it produces.
Negative reviews
Broke on second use – So disappointed. One of the cheap flimsy plastic handles broke on second use. Waste of money and another piece of plastic in landfill- so now I’m feeling angry AND guilty. Buying things online and not being able to see and touch first is a gamble and this time I lost. Brand trust destroyed- won’t be buying Baccarat again. Show details
Shreds zucchinis, can't cut carrots – Bought this recently as it was on clearance from House and wanted to give espaliers a try. The biggest blade which is meant to make thick zoodles shreds the zucchini, completely defeating the purpose. Also leaves a 1.5cm wide tube through the middle of the zucchini which is like a quarter of the vegetable. Also anything smaller than like 4cm… Read more
diameter will not get cut.
Tried it with a carrot. Device is too flimpsy to work with a hard vegetable. It weakly grated a bit off the end then stopped working.
This thing might be designed specifically for onions only.
Not worth even the clearance price of $20.
Great to see it’s discontinued – Absolute piece of rubbish. Flimsy design, no instructions. Wouldn’t even slice a zucchini properly before it fell apart. Dangerous to use with exposed blades. Straight in the bin it goes. Bought it in 2017 and had it in storage, just tried using it. Show details

Complete waste of money and time – Did not cut vegetables at all. Turned my zucchini into mush. Only one side twists and the shoestring side will not turn at all. After considerable effort I had to use a knife to remove a solid block of compressed mush from the device. Taking it back. Show details
Couldn't even start a carrot spiral – I traded up a smaller Baccarat spiraliser that I bought because it could only handle short pieces of carrot. Thought this new model would be better but no matter how carefully I cut the ends off the carrot, it would not turn enough to make any kind of spiral. My hand hurt from trying to keep pressure on the handle while turning it. Spins around without cutting anything. Instead of spirals I am eating hand cut carrot discs. Taking it back. Show details
Rubbish – Don't waste your money on this poorly designed piece of junk. Everything has to be cut into 6cm lengths which severely restricts the length of any spirals you get and it cuts a useless chunk out of the centre of each piece. Useless.

rubbish! – Wish I'd read the reviews before I bought it. I managed some thick vegetable spiral spaghetti - but that isn't what I wanted - I wanted to turn my zucchini into shoe string strands. Instead I got pulverised zucchini. total waste of money
Cheap made rubbish – So flimsy it feels like you’ll snap a piece of the plastic right out of the box. Save your money and don’t buy this crap. Very disappointed in the quality considering Bacarrat normally produces quality products.
My trust in Baccarat products has food-spiralled more than my vegetables – This product straight up doesn't work, food fails to attach safely and pulverized my groceries. I want my money back since I followed the instructions carefully and to the T.
Poor excuse for a product – Bought this today, first attempt worked really well, however this was zucchini. Second attempt was carrot, epic fail. Got 1cm bits of carrot, tried different blames and it doesn’t work. No wonder the only pictures you see of it working are zucchini! Getting money back tomorrow!
no stars actually this product is totally useless – For 39.95 this product is a total rip off doesn't work makes zucchini all mushy. very disappointed with this trusty brand. No instructions in the box or on the packet looked on u tube nothing there obviously too hard. In the bin it goes too bad as this way a gift.
Baccarat Prepare Spiraliser – This would be one of the worst kitchen items I have ever purchased. The first one had a fault which made it very difficult to insert the blades. I returned it before being able to use it and it was exchanged. I was so disappointed when I tried to use it as all I got was mushy zucchini and slices of carrot. I will once again return this product and stick with grating or cutting our vegetables.
Very Disappointing! – There are no "how to use" instructions on or in the box. I had to watch multiple people on you tube use great "other branded" machines, only to return to my own flimsy plastic device, that I paid too way much for - (Baccarat prepare). I was only spiralizing zucchini - the softest vege and it felt like the handle was going to break. I took ages… Read more
to do a small amount of zucchini, with fussing to get it to work and to cut veges to fit. We got short, stumpy little bits of zucchini, not spirals like intended. A very disappointing purchase. Honestly, I would question if the positive reviews have been paid for by the company. It's an inferior product.
Helen's correct – This device works with zucchini - as you see on the promo video - but it is a fail on firmer things like carrots. How so? because you have to push the food toward the blade with one hand while turning the wheel with the other. It is difficult to push firm veges hard enough with the dodgy plastic handle which is set to the side, not behind the… Read more
food. You can't push from behind the food because the turning wheel is in the way. Also, when I did push harder, the whole device slid on the surface even though the suction cups were working. It didn't lift off, it slid.
It is a big plastic item just to spiral a zucchini.
Perfect zoodles – It works perfectly making zoodles. .. recommended. I Don't understand why others here have a problem. I have used all blades and it may be plastic but very stable on my kitchen bench .

Results not good – I recently bough one, and problem is the handle is turning but not straight so however you put vegetables in the handle start to go off center and cause cutting to be a problem. This was with doing a parsnip, geargette and today i tried a different blade and the carrot would not even cut and veggie was fresh so i ended up with small bitsy things.… Read more
Trouble id turning handle goes off center and even when you reset the veg to center of both ends the turning puts it off center. i did look at screwing it tighter but made no difference I'm going to take mine back to store and look at others with the handle to see if they have same problem. i definitely one a spiralizer, but one that works properly.
fr Berill Michelsen, at Stoke Nelson NZ bought through the farmers store there in nelson, newflax6838@gmail.com.
It works fine – Have no idea why people seem to have trouble using this machine..it make fabulous spirals and never had mush.!! I haven't found it flimsy or unstable , is easy enough to clean and keep it stored in it's original box.
Waste of time and money – Total and utter piece of crap, kind of thing you get at a $2 shop. Robins Kitchen is getting this thing back on Monday ! Looks like most of the stuff they sell is cheap rubbish with nice packaging. I'd still be taking this embarrassment back if it only cost $10
Uffff – Hi! Im writing this review just to say I'm very Glad I read these reviews before buying!! No way I'm buying this gadget now! Thanks everyone for the opinions!! Laura
Flimsy Plastic Rubbish – I was afraid I would break it, it would not last long. The soft vegetables ok but the carrots beets sweet potatoes I had to put so much pressure on that flimsy handle. Very disappointed in this product & Pete Evans for endorsing it.
Perfect Spirals! – Simply love this device! Bought it today and already made zoodles. I can't understand why so many have had trouble with it. So long as you use a nice firm vegetable and pull the handles towards the blades as you wind then there is no reason you shouldn't also have beautiful spirals.
Total piece of junk – Doesn't work, clunky to (try to) use, complete waste of time, money and perfectly good vegetables that just got ruined in the process. Do not bother with this poorly designed, clearly untested heap of plastic junk.
Piece of rubbish – What a terrific idea. There's my secret santa this year done! All it did for me was annialate good veges. I've dragged my mandoline out of the cupboard. Wish I'd read reviews first.
Works a treat – I received one as a gift and it works perfectly. So cool. First attempt not so good as I cut the carrot into two 5 cm lengths and placed them both on the spike. This did not work, but when I put the whole carrot (5cm length|) it worked perfectly.
Total rubbish – Someone gave it to me as a gift, and I assure you I wont ever buy baccarat from this experience. Good organic vegies now mush, the vegies turned in the appliance and it just squashed. If I could give it no star I would. I am throwing it out.
Wish I had read these reviews before purchase – Rubbish product. Turns the veggies to mush. Had one half way decent result after about fifteen attempts. Don't waste your money. It's useful for a secret santa gift. You can offload a piece of crap and no one will know it's you.
Excellent for salads and rosti – Exactly what I expected - creates spirals easily from carrots, potatoes, beetroot, zucchini for salads and frying. Sliced up an onion finely and perfectly. Very easy to use and to clean. Love it.
Not sure what your all talking about! – Worked well for me! Make sure you get medium to small zucchinis . Go slow and works fine. If they are crooked then you get some oozing. Easy to clean .... expensive though, not sure how they compare. But next to no space taken up in your drawers.
