Good things come in small packages
Sound production second to none, tried other small speakers and the P2 is head and shoulders above the competition that was enough by itself. The controls are streets ahead of anyone else, I wanted something I could use in my weekend car which I don't want to change the stereo in, so I wanted a portable speaker that I could use without having to use the phone controls to change songs, and the P2 does that. Its not perfect, I think as they develop the idea over time the tap controls will get more programmable, nevertheless the horizontal shake...Read more
and voice controls to change to the next song work perfectly well. Yes its more expensive than others, but then good design often is. Sleek, well thought out, sexy design, outrageous sound for its size. 5 Stars from me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Surprising performance from a portable bluetooth speaker
The B&O Beoplay P2 is a surprising speaker, being able to pump out decent sounds from a speaker that is small (140 x 80 x 28mm) and only weighs 275g. In fact, from most reviews you read on the internet, the sound quality is what impresses most people. The speaker boasts a new mid-range woofer rated at 2 x 50w peak power. It has rich bass and produces depth of sounds that punches above its weight for a speaker of this size.
The speaker is also very versatile. It is light, comes in three different colours (black, sand stone and royal blue), i...Read more
s dust and splash resistant so can be used on beaches, picnics and pools. Controls on the speakers are minimal with only an on/off button at the base of the unit which also activates bluetooth pairing. The speaker comes with a USB-C charging connector and that's it. The speaker also features a pretty cool "tap and shake" interactions right out of the box. For example, you can tap on the speaker to pause/resume music tracks and shake it from side to side to skip to the next track. Further customisation of this tap and shake feature can be made via the free B&O Beoplay app. With a battery life of up to 10 hours on a 2 hour charge time, it is pretty decent. Bluetooth 4.2 is new and works reliably. To get the full benefit of the BeoPlay P2, you need to download the Beoplay app as it allows you to customise the Tap and shake function, control the speaker and the playback of music tracks and also enables you to fine tune the sound quality, bass and treble from warm, excited, relaxed and bright and any combination in between. The speaker can also be used as a speakerphone and answer calls as well as control voice interactions with Apple Siri and Google Now. The speaker can also be paired to a second P2 so that via the Beoplay app, you can control which speaker in the pair plays the audio from. Unfortunately, the P2 does not support stereo wireless pairing that some of its bigger counterparts support so you can play audio from 2 P2 speakers simultaneously. This was described incorrectly on a few other internet reviews I came across. If you are looking for a sleek looking and versatile bluetooth speaker with good sounds and functionality, then I suggest you don;t have to looks any further. The Beoplay P2 will surprise you as it did me. The only thing I would have wished for is that it came with a soft carrying bag and ability to play on tow P2 speakers at the same time.Similar opinion?
