Been with them for 28 years all good except for Burleigh heads branch like others say no help,no pr skills,do not know their job,can't process visa paperwork to pay invoice without visa card they say wrong card number however will not fix it??!! Took son for home loan,manager said to me (dad )transfer my war service loan to them??son went with other bank! Withdrawing money from teller ,she asked for my licence ,i said no no reduce amount ,we were fine however grey headed pot belled male butted in saying I was rude to her,she said sorry to me sh...e did nothing wrong nor did I,just fussy about my licence being out there, closed my accounts and went to mermaid Waters. Burleigh branch seems to have bad management or may be it's a training branch??? I am a local and others have the same opinion, weird!the bank I find is good and I do deal with other branches when necessary

I started my business with Bank of Queensland in 1992. I have been with them for 27 years. They became silly in 2007 (at the GFC). But we stuck with them. In the last year or so they have totally lost all semblance of reasonable service. I actually had a manager tell me in the store to F#@K off after I asked him why he had not done Bank Cheques as requested. Complained and got no-where. Whitewashed.
Still stuck with them. But they got even worse again. Moved to CBA. Wow. Actually happy people. What an extraordinary difference.
Bank of Queensland should not continue to be in business.
Yes, BOQ has all the reasons to hate the bank
I have been dealing with BOQ since 2012. I give 3 top reasons why I hate this bank and my decision to move to a different bank.
1. Terrible online internet bank. Very behind in technology with internet banking. This makes the business quite inefficient. Example. Transaction history appears weeks later.
2. In competent staff and customer service.
3. As per my recent conversations with BOQ it is quite apparent that the whole sale funding costs are gone down significantly. However the profits gained were not getting reflected in their variable rates. To me this is illegal and I am officially going to complain and put an enquiry.
Absolutely useless both in-branch and online.
The app is slow, quits during transfers, not very secure and you can't even use a pin or fingerprint to login you must enter your full login.
There branches high a turn-over of staff making it difficult as a business to have a friendly face to regularly deal with.
My bank card was damaged but still usable so they ordered me a new one with the same number, supposedly checked my address, it never arrived.
Explained this to them and they were unsure why it didn't arrive so they checked my address again and ordered me a new one and it never arrived.
