Bankwest were peerless when they were owned by HBOS, but they are nowhere near the same force in everyday banking now they are under the wing of the CBA. They pioneered many of the innovations we are now seeing in other banks, but have lost their own way a bit since doing so. I'd be looking elsewhere now with my money.
Still reasonably competitive fees, though less so since the CBA bought them out.
The buy out by the Commonwealth bank, which led to bankwest losing its innovative edge. Also they have too may gimmicky" interest rates which lead you to believe you are getting a better deal than you are.

I ditched this bank not that long ago and went with a credit society. The big banks just want too much in fees and don't want to give much back to their customers. I did like the style of their revamped branches.
They have recently revamped a lot of their branches which look very modern and nice. As far as banks go they are alright and have good customer service. But I would not want to bank with them again, as they have too many fees.
They have a lot of fees and do not pass on enough to the customer.

Overall I'm happy with what they provide. Their variable home loan interest rate are lower than the 4 major banks. Ability to access 4 major banks ATMs without any fee (if you have a homeloan).
Simple terms and conditions, easy internet banking, no fee using 4 major banks ATM if you have a home loan with them
lack of staff in branches,

Love the net banking very easy to use, phone banking can be long winded but you gotta expect that. Most are very helpful. Great interest rates! Great account keeping fees. we get charged $6 evrey time we go in store which i think is a bit much! Other than that they... for a bank... are pretty good!
fantastic bank, always had great service! call centre usally helpful. In store also fairly helpful. mobile bankmanager we had was fantastic! Glad we changed to them! cheap interest rates and cheap account keeping fees.
occasionally you get a grumpy teller! and thats about it!!! some fees are a bit expensive.

We changed to bankwest 12months ago, it has been a fantastic bank and they look after there customers reasonably well, Online banking is slow but really good you can link all your accounts easy and send money from one to the other easily.
Bankwest has a good but simply range of a accounts, the fee structure if any is basic. Their Zero account has Zero transaction fees you can use it at the majority of major bank atms. In store customer service is good the staff generally recognize you. Bankwest online banking is easy to use.
The customer service is average over the phone. That it is a BANK....

Overall, I find Bankwest a great banking institution for your simple savings account that you don't touch too often and simply transfer funds in and out of. They offer one of the highest interest rates around, and of course no fees are of great appeal. However, they don't have fabulous cusomer service either at their call centre or the stores - maybe because they're newly branching into different products like the home loans and haven't got their staff training up to scratch yet.
they have no fees and great interest rates!
bankwest doesn't have fabulous customer service

Overall I believe that Bank West is a great bank to choose for all different kinds of people as they are very flexible and do not have very high fees and charges. To go along with this their customer service is what every person would want, fast and reliable.
The pros about Bank West is that they do not charge many fees and they provide great service. Bank West has many user friendly features one being internet banking. The internet banking is free and only costs 20 or so cents to make a transfer.
I believe there are no cons about Bankwest at this time.
