Non-Standard fittings, up for another $170 to connect my Beefmaster BBQ
I was told by the staff that the standard gas fittings have changed in the past few years and that my old connection might not fit. Well, they were right in that my old connection might not fit but it's not due to any standards changing.
I visited 2 gas and hardware stores to get a connection kit and both had the 'old' style which I found out is still the standard size and has been around forever.

Today I walked into Barbecues Galore Auburn store. I was approached by MJ who was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, patient and most helpful well beyond any customer service I have received from any other shop.

Deceit and shallow promises - I had to "bug them" for 11 months for them to come good on thier prom
Bought a table in November 2017 from Osborne park shop Barbe ques Galore. Table is Ok but was promised a can of "touch up paint". This never happened, Over 80 emails... I don't give up easily... Total crap from this Franchise...and finally they came good and purchased the matching paint from an auto dealer. I tried to down load the email trail on this forum but the content was too large. To be honest the new owner finally delivered on a promise made months 11 months ago when original purchase was made.
In short... don't trust what they s...ay at sales point as once the sale is made the company don't care. I had to win this one as I dislike being lied to. I would not trust this franchise in any way as it is all about getting the product out the door and closing the sale. I have run my own business for over 30 years and never would be deceitful or lie to my customers like this. Make sure everything is delivered before your part with your money. regards
Good Service from BBQ Galore in Bundall
I was researching Komado and went in to ask a few questions about the bbq. An hour later I walked out with a Traeger Pro 34 and 3 bags of pellets. I dont usually buy on impulse but I found the customer service outstanding and to be able to compare and contrast different bbqs really helps. In the end I decided I wanted a smoker without having to babysit the fire and that is why I went witht he Traeger and not the Komado Joe. The only gripe I have is that they never seem to include the pellets in any sales. But that being said everything else was a good experience.
Terrible Service at Cairns Store
Service was terrible, one person outside filling a gas bottle, two customers in shop including myself. The other customer in the shop is talking to a staff member about bbq's. I am waiting at the counter to pay for my goods. The staff member dealing with the customer walks outside to start playing with the gas filling bottles " no actual customers out there getting bottles filled up". I am still waiting. A third staff member walks out from the back and goes to the person looking at bbq's and not the customer waiting to pay for goods. So after s...tanding at a counter for 10mins I walked out the store. 3 staff members, two customers but somehow could not find the time to serve me. Unfortunately I am not sure of any other shops around Cairns that sells good hardwood charcoal so will have to face it again.
This Company couldn't care less about customers
I work in this industry i'm an account executive customers are meant to be the heart of any business without customers there is know company. So making sure they are looked after should in my eyes & always be at front of mind.
I Waited for service for 30 minutes not one person came to see if i needed help. I was there to purses some accessories for my BBQ. This is not acceptable as part of management with a large company and supporting our stores . if BBQ Galore is wanting to move forward this issue needs to be addressed because there are plenty of competitors ready and willing to take your customers.
Don’t go to Nunawading Store
Wish I could give 0 stars! Went to this store to spend up to $2000 on a BBQ. Waited 20 minutes to even be looked at (had to ask if anyone was working there) and staff had no idea about their products. I have plumbed in Gas (natural gas) and after much faffing around they told me I would have to buy all sorts of other conversion kits, different jets etc & would have to get a gas plumber to do all this, they thought - not sure about anything. After waiting around for almost an hour, I couldn’t get an answer if they had the BBQ in stock that I was...interested in. I drove down the road to BBQs-R-Us and was sold a great BBQ already converted, don’t need a gas plumber and I just plug in the hose myself. BBQ Galore just lost a keen customer - I spent $2,300, so their loss.

Nunawadding store can’t give me what I ordered almost 4 months later
I placed an order for a Traeger grill from bbqs galore nunawadding on the 28th of February 18. Next week it will be 4 months later, I still haven’t received the bbq that I ordered. Not once have they called me first to explain what’s happening. Each time the estimated delivery date has past by a week or two, I call them and they apologise.
Last month I complained to head office about the lack of service. They agreed that it was poor.
They guaranteed the bbq would be ready to pick up mid June. This time the apparently “American grill” had act...
Great price for Bottle Gas refills
Went to Barbeque Galores Frankston branch to have 2 x 9 kg bottles filled great friendly service, trolleyed them to the car after filling, and the best price $19.95 for 9kg fill, vastly better price than other just change over places, and as previously found more gas for your buck, not forgetting quick service, well worth recommending.
Waiting over 4 months to resolve a warranty issue. The claim has been approved but the replacement items have not been delivered 4 months later despite many phone calls. The can’t even give me an expected delivery date. I keep getting told they are moving from one warehouse to another hence the delay. This is not good enough!!
BBQ Galore Capala
Ordered a Kamado Joe BBQ from BBQ Galore Capalaba IN dec 2017. Long story short... 2 months later they don't still no bbq and no ETA, also ordered the hot plate and grill plate in December 2017. Decided to change my order to a Series 1 bbq which was in stock. Everything was then OK for a while... Now i call up chasing the grill and hot plate which i paid for 5months ago... Call multiple times advise advised i'll be called back never called back.... Told today it was Kamado's fault and had nothing to do with BBQ galore. Maybe BBQ galore could ha...ve kept customers in the loop with the delays, followed up on phone calls as promised and been somewhat compassionate on the phone. Ill add i've been polite to all BBQ galore staff until today, I've called other sites and get told a diffrent story about the eta for delivery. Honestly feel like i've been taken for a ride. Should have just bought a webber and been down with BBQ galore.
Failed to deliver. Inexcusable conduct.
After six weeks wait time I was notified that the table and 12 chairs I ordered were in store and would be delivered the next day. I paid the full amount owed at that time. That evening I received a text message from ANC Couriers together with a reference number stating that delivery would take place between 2-00 pm and 5-00 pm the next day as scheduled. However after waiting all afternoon no such delivery was made. I rang the courier who advised that they were not able to fit the furniture order onto their truck. I rang the Manager at Barbeq...ues Galore in Moorabbin who advised me that he did not know the goods had been left behind. No attempt was made by either party to advise me of this and no attempt was made to make alternative arrangements, It is patently clear that this is a systemic failure in which there is no follow up in executing orders. Surely the storeman at Barbeques Galore would have alerted management that the goods were not collected as scheduled. Surely the ANC CouriersCdriver would have alerted his base that the promised delivery would not take place. Instead I had to chase around trying to ascertain what was going on. I have lost all confidence in Barbeques Galore.
