Suited to a wide range of digestion issues
Have you met my bestie IBEROGAST!
When my Gastroenterologist told me that Iberogast was available in Australia he was ecstatic as for me I was skeptical.
I took Iberogast every day 3 times a day for a week and thought okay I can’t feel the benefit just yet but let’s keep it going and by the following week I was in heaven.
I took Iberogast for the first month and my system eased dramatically and by the second month I took it twice a day morning and night for a few more months and gradually eased to once a night. I did cut down the dosage during the months but don’t exceed th...e recommended amount as I made that mistake and ended up with stomach cramps, eventually I found the right amount of drops to suit my body which works for me. Iberogast has made a huge difference to my life socially my IBS has virtually disappeared my bowel movements are regular and my reflux is minimal i cut my Somac down from 60mg to 20mg & stomach cramps gone. (Stress is the main contributor for my IBS) So If you suffer from IBS take this amazing elixir but don’t think it will cure you over night persevere follow the directions and your body will thank you for it.
Purchased in May 2016 at Chemist Warehouse for $24.95.
Questions & Answers
Iberogast is an oral liquid that’s available in either a 50mL or 100mL bottle The 9 medicinal herbal extracts that are in this medication include: bitter candytuft, angelica, caraway, chamomile, St. Mary’s thistle, lemon balm, greater celandine, peppermint and liquorice.
Each of them has unique properties that work to ease the symptoms of functional digestive disorders. For example, bitter candytuft has an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, and simultaneously relaxes and activates stomach muscles for improved digestion.
Is Iberogast for me?
Iberogast is designed to help relieve discomfort associated with gastric abdominal disturbances. Iberogast may be suited if you have a diagnosed condition, like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), but not necessarily.
Since there aren’t always clear-cut causes for functional digestive problems, a diagnosis can sometimes be difficult to get. As a result, Iberogast may still be helpful if you experience stomach pain, abdominal cramps, bloating, gas, heartburn, diarrhoea, fullness, nausea and/or constipation.
There is research to suggest that these disturbances can be caused by stress and emotional disturbances, changes to diet and new medication. It can be helpful to see a GP to see if a treatment like Iberogast would work for you.
