I have a Radar 52 DC CTC fan ORB with light, purchased from Beacon Lighting Bunbury WA. Can you please explain to me why in the middle of the night the light comes on? Also returning home from being away for a couple of weeks, the fan was off when I left but had turned on while I was away. There had been no power serge or the other appliance in the hove would be flashing. Can you Help. Thank you. Pasqualina

We have never had any problems with products bought from Beacon and our problem is within the fan itself, possibly a loose screw, sorry but I cannot give any advice except to contact the beacon people on their contact line.

Hi Pasqualina,
From your description it does sound like there could be someone in the vicinity who also has the same fan, and their remote is on the same frequency as yours. To rectify this all you should need to do is re-pair your fan and remote.

1. Have the power switched off at the wall on for the fan
2. Switch on the fan you are programming and hold the power button for 30 sec or longer even up to 45 sec will do
3. Turn on the fan on to different speeds to check it has paired correctly.

Hi i purchased 2 ceiling fans the same...l now need a remote control..do l need to purchase 2..or will one work for both.fans.

Hi Alison, Thank you for your enquiry.
You will need to buy 2 remotes initially, as each remote will come with a receiver that will need to be installed in the canopy of the fan. You can then program 1 remote to work both fans.

How should the blades be installed, with the printing lucci pointing to the ceiling or downwards?

The Lucci (or any other fan branding) engraving on any fan blades would be faced towards the ceiling, if it isn't installed correctly it could have an effect on the airflow and overall performance of the fan.

Why is my 10 year old stainless steel expensive lights gone rusty.

Hi Marcia, there are different grades of stainless steel and dependant on the grade you have ,as well as where you live, this maybe the why. Also all stainless steel does require maintenance, ie. cleaning and treatment with a stainless steel protector or an item like WD40 to keep it "clean". I have purchased two ceiling fans today (with lights). I got home and realized I don't need fans with lights as they are going into the living room which already has downlights. I would like to return them and but fans without lights. Will Beacon Lights allow me to do this? Also, I bought them from Beacon Lighting in Hoppers Crossing. I live in Geelong. Can I take them back to our local store?

Thanks for the reassurance Susan. I rang Beacon Lighting Geelong this morning and they happily exchanged the fans for me. I was very happy at this outcome.

We bought five ceiling fans and paid upfront for installation. Almost two weeks later we haven't heard from anyone about the installation. We even rang the store who told us they'd contact head office and get back to us, but surprise surprise - no one got back to us. Will anyone actually get in touch with us?

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. I did have correspondence from the warranty and customer service teams. I would try contacting them direct, not through the store. Good luck

I have purchased four DC ceiling fans so far from Beacon. The last two bought recently are the AIRFUSION TYPE A 60 DC FAN ONLY IN BLACK which were nearly $700 each. My question is related to a quiet clicking that can be heard when standing under all of the fans, except one of the new Type A 60's taht does not click. It is a very quiet tick tick tick that can be heard especially when on low speeds. What is this please?

I'm looking at the Lucia moonah how does it it compare to the future?

Hi Aleta, the Lucci Air Moonah fan has blades made of ABS Plastic, the Futura are Plywood. The Moonah is coastally rated meaning it can be placed outdoors with no walls around it whereas the Futura is Alfresco/Indoor rated so it needs requires 2 external walls for warranty purposes and the Moonah has a higher airflow than the Futura. I'm enquiring about a lamp... I believe it's called a paint spot lamp.. It looks like an upside down paint tin spilling paint... Would this be safe to leave on all night in a child's bedroom?

Thank you for your question. In regards to your query, we do not recommend that you leave any table lamp on over night. However if you use an LED globe or a Fluorescent globe these globes don't emit a lot of heat so could be left on for longer periods of time.
