Couldn’t buy because nobody would help
I went to the DFO Essendon store today as I need to purchase lights for a new 4bdr/2bath house. 3 staff members ignored me so they could chat to each other. I waited 15 minutes and was not even acknowledged. Felt so uncomfortable and awkward that I walked out. Very disappointing and unfortunately will have to look to your competitors to purchase all my indoor, outdoor and pool lighting
DO NOT BUY THEIR FANS
We bought some Lucci fans from Beacon about 6 months ago and are STILL having ongoing issues. After installation, they were incredibly noisy to the point you can't have them on at night if you are trying to sleep. So far we have had them replaced 3 times by different electricians and the replacements are doing the same thing. Customer service has been rude and unapologetic, to the point where one of the representatives put the blame on my hearing which was ridiculous because you can hear the noise from outside the bedroom. Thankfully, they ha...ve honoured their warranty so far, however what is the point of replacing them if the fans are terrible? Worst retail experience of my life. What's worse is they know about the issues but still keeping selling them. Do not buy their fans! I wish I had read the reviews.
Got caught out again,Fake Sale
Once again Beacon Lighting have their bogus up to 50% off. Been looking at 3 lights too purchase for my home unit, I have been looking at these 3 lights, one is a floor lamp and the other two are ceiling lights Imagine my surprise when I saw the same ad they have every year “ up to 50% off” and the 3 lights I went into the store the same 3 lights were dearer now than before the 50% off even after the discount they were still more expensive then they were 4 weeks ago!
How does this store get away with blatantly raising their prices before apply...

Avoid buying from these guys, bad customer service , not helpful at all , once you purchase anything , they wont like to help you if there is a fault ..

While setting up our home, we purchased a great number of products from our local Beacon store in Maroochydore, much of which was installed by their "recommended electrical contractor" to take advantage of the additional one year warranty.
And so when a security light sensor goes on the blink just past the extended two-year warranty period, you would expect some modicum of leniency, or consideration for the total outlay, particularly as the life-expectancy of this product is way beyond what we got.

i have been an electrician for 21 years now , i had to replace or modify just about everything i have bought
at beacon lighting in my house , their cheap electrical stuff gets flog of as high end , but in reality its unsafe and a fire hazard , took apart one of their ceiling fans , cross threaded bolts ,poor connections , you name it
, that's right people if you want to burn your house down , just go to beacon lighting
Very rude customer services
Wish I could give them negative star rating. Beacon website customer web services absolutely rude and arrogant. It did not surprise me that they have such a bad rating with customer while they treating business customer rudely. Try to sign up Business trade account with them. Beacon lighting rejected the request without asking any question. Provide further information still reject it by saying I need to have solid trade history with Beacon lighting while this requirement is not explained in Beacon trade club sign up page otherwise I would not bothered to waste my time on their website. Was told by sales staff their Lucci DC power ceimg fans are so good that
"no fan ever returned"
1. Fans are noisy with poor airflow: misleading sale pitch by staff
2. Returned a fan unopened box, with receipt....Despite phoning beforehand to tell I was coming, manager not ready plus start arguing about the refund. Not a pleasant experience. 3.bought a third fan, this one from Bunnings. Arlec, DC power, dimmable light, 52". $179 A lot cheaper and a lot better. Very quiet and excellent airflow. Very pleasant experience. Conclusions :.. 1. Beacon lighting's Lucci ceiling fans are of poor quality and grossly overpriced. 2. "No fan ever returned " claim by staff because beacon lighting Osborne Park Perth Western Australia makes it extremely difficult and unpleasant experience to try to return a fan. 3. Customer service very poor from Osborne Park Perth Western Australia store.
Sold me product with wrong colour (miss labelled) and refuse to offer replacement
Worst warranty service ever. I am beyond disappointed. Purchased a ceiling fan light in cool white. The installed product is yellow. They refuse to accept they mis directed and sold a wrong labelled item, after weeks of wasting my time. Bad business.
Terrible response to customer needs
Manager wouldn’t sell only lamp available from floor stock. 4/5 products I liked weren’t available, other stores had base but couldn’t find the shade. Manager and staff Offered no viable options. disgraceful service and staff not responsive to customer needs. In the end I came up with the option of taking a print image of the product so I could insert into the Xmas card. Never again will I purchase a product from Beacon lighting.
Beacon warranty issues still not resolved
We bought lucci fans x5 last December 2019. 4 out of 5 are working. One fan being a room we didn’t use until my son moved rooms in September 2020. Fan does not work at all spins twice slowly and then absolutely nothing. Filled out a warranty claim form sent it heard back nothing for nearly 2 weeks. we were given wrong item numbers by store when we completed form I had to contact warranty team myself and was told we were missing 2 numbers off form. If that was the case all other information was correct why not call us yourselves to settle the m...atter! Electrician was booked and he came out 2 weeks later so we’re at a month then he comes out and tells me he was given wrong part by store it should have been a receiver for a fan/light but it’s only for fan. So he has wrong part looks at fan and then tells me the electrician has botched job and beacon won’t be covering warranty. Maybe I should get electrician who installed to buy all new fans! I have heard absolutely nothing from warranty team verbally or in writing until I called today to dispute! I have had electrician who installed fans out to have a look and he has said it needs a new part. The part that was never bought along to fix in the first place. I have had a subsequent electrician out for a second opinion at my own cost and same thing was said it needs a new part the same one that was never bought along. Now coming on here I am repeatedly reading what feels like my story! The same didn’t bring the right part for fan or your electrician has installed wrong we’re not covering. The lack of communication with warranty team. Also extremely hard to get in contact with warranty team. Called again today for the second time in 2 days after and it’s the oh we’ll call you back still haven’t heard back again! So convenient that every story is literally the same as mine! Do not buy for beacon you’ll end up like all of us on here! Unhappy customers!

Faulty product. Horrendous customer service.
Bought their LED ceiling lights and none of them work. Asked for refund and were told to sell it on ebay instead???? Please stay away and save yourself from the frustration.
Inconsistent advice and terrible customer service
I Have had many dealings with beacon over the past 9 months as we have renovated and replaced ALL lighting in our home.
On occasion orders have not arrived when expected (am still waiting for a light to arrive that was supposed to have arrived last week), few faulty downlights/bulbs etc. However, these are entirely understandable hiccups.
I felt compelled to write this review after a particularly unpleasant experience at the Myaree store.
I purchased a Bar light at the Osbourne park store (was not in stock at Myaree). Main reason purcha...sing Said bar light was because I was told by a sales assistant at Myaree the light I originally wanted wasn’t manufactured in the length I wanted. (On a side note I have since found out that this was incorrect and the light I initially wanted was in fact manufactured in the length I wanted). Frustrating! I Attempted to return the unopened bar light at the Myaree store only to be turned away and told I couldn’t do that and had to go back to the Osbourne park store (not really easy for me to do). I left and went home and followed up by telephone with Osbourne park store as I was worried I may not be able to get there before the 30 day return period. The staff member there told me I could return the light at ANY store. I then checked the beacon lighting website which supports this claim. Two weeks later I called back to the Myaree store to try and return the light again and was told that they could not perform the refund......same thing “go back to Osbourne park”. I explained it’s not that easy for me to get there. The staff member stated “it’s not that far away”!

Not happy at all
Bought 2 ceiling lights with bulbs and none work. Beacon refused a return. Ended up buying similar products from IKEA for half the price and it works perfectly. Everything is marked up and doesn't work, customer service is not friendly, will never shop at Beacon again.

Lucci DC Ceiling Fan
I bought two DC Lucci fans (they are about $400 each) on 4-Oct-20 from Beacon Lighting Myaree WA and I used Beacon Lighting's electrician to install. Both of them were installed but only one was working. Electrician said nothing wrong with installation so it must be the product. Told me to lodge a warranty claim and the earliest slot allocated was a month out 3-Nov-20. Warranty guys called me today to say that 'parts' have not arrived so they will need to wait for it and reschedule.
Looking through the reviews here, it seems this problem is pretty common. Whoever is thinking of buying, just bear in mind it has a 50% chance of the product not working!
Lucci wobbly fans
Purchased two lucci fans and they both wobble in high speed . The installation is correct ,mounting is secure so are the blades .
terrible customer service
Purchased a ceiling fan, then decided i needed another. Price had jumped 30%, messaged beacon lighting to try and get second fan for the price i paid for the first, was refused even though there was a promotion for 30% off any second fan purchased. No understanding, terrible customer service. never shopping there again.
I cannot believe i fell into the up to 50% click bait advertising
So after 14 pages of Beacons range of pendant lights I am yet to find an item that has been reduced by 50% as the click bait advertising suggests.......

Expensive "Wave" fan is noisy and faulty
For a $650 investment, this fan is very noisy and clunky. It is impossible to sleep at night with it running. I will be replacing it with a cheap fan which I know is silent.
I never subscribed to any spam mail with these guys. I unsubscribed THREE TIMES, and I still keep on receiving their junk.
Why do you guys think I need to receive two emails a week with your gibberish?
I won't be replacing any light fittings in the next 100 years, and if I do, it won't be from you.

I have a Radar 52 DC CTC fan ORB with light, purchased from Beacon Lighting Bunbury WA. Can you please explain to me why in the middle of the night the light comes on? Also returning home from being away for a couple of weeks, the fan was off when I left but had turned on while I was away. There had been no power serge or the other appliance in the hove would be flashing. Can you Help. Thank you. Pasqualina
We have never had any problems with products bought from Beacon and our problem is within the fan itself, possibly a loose screw, sorry but I cannot give any advice except to contact the beacon people on their contact line.

From your description it does sound like there could be someone in the vicinity who also has the same fan, and their remote is on the same frequency as yours. To rectify this all you should need to do is re-pair your fan and remote.
1. Have the power switched off at the wall on for the fan
2. Switch on the fan you are programming and hold the power button for 30 sec or longer even up to 45 sec will do
3. Turn on the fan on to different speeds to check it has paired correctly.

Hi Alison, Thank you for your enquiry.
You will need to buy 2 remotes initially, as each remote will come with a receiver that will need to be installed in the canopy of the fan. You can then program 1 remote to work both fans.
