DC ceiling Fan Warranty
Bought two DC Lucci ceiling fans for new home on 22nd Aug 2020, decided to have Beacon's electricans to do the install as to protect from any misconceptions on the installation.
Lodged a warranty claim on 14th Sept 2020, approved under job#45683.
One fan is completely ceased working and other can't decide which direction to go in.
Had a warranty electrican turn up 23rd Oct to say install was botched by installer for fan that had stopped but didn't have extra parts to fix that problem other fan is a DC fan and start ups are like that as the rem...
We selected 4 identical pendant lights from the displayed range for hanging from a raked ceiling. These light fixures were suspended on a stainless steel rod which had to be modified in length so that that the 2 light fixtures suspended from the lower side of the ceiling will end up at the same level as the ones suspended from the higher side. Beacon staff could not come up with any solution and even referred us to other lightening shops. Thanks to my engineering background, I worked out a solution myself by replacing the rods with stainless st...eel chains which could easily cut to the required length. Surely, a lighting business the size of Beacon should have their own or sub contracted engineering service which will offer simple modifications or even a mix and match between 2 products to meet any customer requirements. Beacon is obviously only interested in selling boxes, not 'Lighting solutions'.
2 Bedside Lights
Happy with our purchase. We have bought many lights through them when we were building our house & they were always helpful & knowledgeable
Not recommended for donwlights
We purchased 45 downlights and 2 pendants from beacon lighting; in summary:
1- the downlights are over priced.
2- NEVER NEVER use beacon lighting electricians, they are ridiculously expensive and their service is poor!
3- The pendants are only good, because they are different.
I live rural, about 1 - 1.5 hours away from a Beacon Lighting store. In September I visited a store and purchased 2 ceiling fans and some light fittings, about $350 worth. The electrician that I could find was only able to come out at the end of November (22nd to be exact). Brand new fans, still in their boxes havent been touched since I bought them home, electrician installs them, 1 of them doesnt work. Ring Beacon lighting on the same day - " You'll have to do a warranty claim"... So they do a warrantly claim over the phone for me and ...advise that it will go through to warranty on the Monday.... On the 2nd Dec I ring up the store to find out what is going on cause Ive heard nothing, I get told by Emma, the warrantly claim has been approved and at the moment they are doing Stocktake so nothing can be done but that should finish today and their electrician will give me a call ( why they think that their electrician is better than mine is beyond my belief) . Imagine my surprise when the warranty department ring me the next day asking about my faulty fan and how they will approve the claim today and soon the electrician from the store will give me a ring. Today is now the 6th Dec and I am starting to loose my cool!! Just want my faulty fan replaced....before it starts getting hot!! I wont be buying anything else from Beacon and spreading the word that they are not great to deal with when you have a faulty product. Helpful when your angry and want to speak to the regional manager about your problem bad warranty service
Questions & Answers
I have a Radar 52 DC CTC fan ORB with light, purchased from Beacon Lighting Bunbury WA. Can you please explain to me why in the middle of the night the light comes on? Also returning home from being away for a couple of weeks, the fan was off when I left but had turned on while I was away. There had been no power serge or the other appliance in the hove would be flashing. Can you Help. Thank you. Pasqualina
We have never had any problems with products bought from Beacon and our problem is within the fan itself, possibly a loose screw, sorry but I cannot give any advice except to contact the beacon people on their contact line.

From your description it does sound like there could be someone in the vicinity who also has the same fan, and their remote is on the same frequency as yours. To rectify this all you should need to do is re-pair your fan and remote.
1. Have the power switched off at the wall on for the fan
2. Switch on the fan you are programming and hold the power button for 30 sec or longer even up to 45 sec will do
3. Turn on the fan on to different speeds to check it has paired correctly.
This should solve the issue. If for some reason it does still turn on by itself after this, please contact our warranty team by filling out the following form: https://www.beaconlighting.com.au/warranty-claims

Looking for feedback, good and bad, on the Beacon Lighting "Atlanta 142cm DC fan and light"
Hi i purchased 2 ceiling fans the same...l now need a remote control..do l need to purchase 2..or will one work for both.fans.
Customer S.Beacon Lighting
Hi Alison, Thank you for your enquiry.
You will need to buy 2 remotes initially, as each remote will come with a receiver that will need to be installed in the canopy of the fan. You can then program 1 remote to work both fans.
