overpriced, low quality built
I have had it for around 2 years, and use it every day. The battery is quite good and fast charging. Sound quality is good. However,
the plastic cover over the ear was torn after almost 3 months, and the wire inside was pushing into my skin, and it had to use wire tape to conceal it. secondly, it catches a lot of around you if you are taking over the phone. for instance, I can't use it if I'm in a shopping center. I believe for this level of quality this earphone is highly overpriced.
Purchased in November 2018 at Officeworks for $256.00.

spend you money elsewhere
I've gone through 4 pairs of these in as many years, 2 on warranty and 2 I bought. While the sound quality and fit is really good I found that if you use them while exercising then the problems begin.
When i sweat it runs down the cable to the control box which is not sweat proof. The controls then stop working. I tried taping them up, and even wedging them above my ear but no luck, every single pair failed in the same way. I even wrote to beats to mention this and got no response. There are cheaper and more reliable ear buds out there.
Purchased in April 2016 for $130.00.

Good to begin with but become faulty
These airphones are great to begin with, good clear sound, reasonably comfortable to wear and very good while doing exercise and moving about. However this is all ruined by faults. My first pair stopped working completely after about 10 months. A new pair through warranty and now same thing, except they drain themselves flat and now it won’t even turn on. Past warranty period now, not worth the price.
Purchased in March 2018.

Rubbish product and way over priced
Battery life is great, but the sound volume is not loud enough to hear a movie on a plane. I have owned them for about a year now and they are falling apart. Ear hook rubber fell apart and the volume button also only works for volume up now. Would expect this quality from a $50 pair of head phone not from a $259 pair. I have owned Beats Studio 3's and they were great, but these are really poor.
Purchased in October 2017 at Myer for $259.00.
Junk
Just got off customer service with issues with my THIRD replacement of this product. I was told I am not out of warranty (90 days). My third set died in less than six-months, and I use them maybe once a week. Apple farms out this product to China and 90 days is a ridiculous warranty for a product that costs nearly $200. They know it's junk and don't want to invest more than 90 days. Repair cost was almost the price of a new pair! Save your money and aggravation, and if you were once like me––someone who thought he could trust Apple produc...
Read morets––don't be fooled any longer. Please read the reviews. Countless people are having the same issues. There is an onslaught of complaints and Apple knows it. They just don't care . . . .Do not buy!PSJSouth East Queensland, QLD

Don't buy these
Ear "hanger" broke after 8 months. I find them uncomfortable, but maybe I have funny ears. Also, for some reason I can't find the correct tension for the interconnecting wire which is either too loose or it grabs on the back of the neck (particularly annoying at the gym). I've also found that the buds fall off unless one is really careful or use the carrying pouch. I also experience confusing interaction with iPhone when transitioning into calls., diverting to the phone on answer, leaving me talking to no one! I can't recommend, particularly for the price.
Break easily - aftersales service terrible
Had these 9 months before they arm broke off, despite just using them normally. Poor quality design. Have had multiple attempts at getting Apple or JB Hifi to review them or replace them without success. All too complicated. Don't waste your money people. A pity because sound quality is ok.

Beats the expensive
They are good but a little expensive for what they actually offer. There quite a few other alternatives that can be picked instead off this. I bought this for casual listening in my free time and it is still working well i. That aspect. However i cannot recommend it as it is expensive.

battery issue, less bass, not fit with glasses
I bought Powerbeat 2 March last year. And today it is totally dead. no charging, no led. I found all 3 wireless earplug I used have battery issue. JBL, Bose and Beats, the longest is the Bose which last almost one year but I used it almost every day during morning run and Gym. The PowerBeats 2 was for my wife and only been use less than once per week and that is why it last more than one year. but total running time is less than 3 months if being used in my way. My Bose was broken after 10 months and I picked up my wife powerbeats 2 two weeks...
Read more ago. The sound was clear but no bass unless pushed really tight into ear but I wear glasses which is fun to have this kind of over the ear same time with glasses legs. I am currently have no confidence with any wireless earphones. average life time is around 4-9 months for price between $169-$250. really worth it ???BradBrisbane
Great sound, Storage pouch is average
I purchased my headset in Jul 17 and was initially extremely happy with the sound quality and fit. About 6 weeks ago the arm on the right earphone detached and then 2 to 3 weeks later the left arm detached. I believe that the storage pouch was the main contributing reason for the arms detaching as it is a very tight fit. Especially when you are constantly getting the earphones in and out for use. As I bought the earphones thru Kogan I'm still waiting on them to assess the earphones for warranty replacement, its been about 3 weeks now so in hin...
Read moredsight it may have been better to purchase direct from Apple or JB. Update: neither Kogan or Apple would replace or repair the earphone arms. Apparently this fault is not covered under the 12 month warranty. Not happy at all.. not likely to purchase powerbeats again. So unreliable
These would be fantastic wireless headphones, if they continued to work as they should. I first bought Powerbeats2 and loved them, however after 12 months, the on/off button worked intermittently. Strangely, they turned on, I would go for a 5k run, but then they wouldn't turn off. They would therefore sit idly until they went flat, and I would have to recharge between every use.
I eventually gave up on them when Powerbeats3 were released, thinking new model and Apple chip might be a big step forward. Unfortunately similar issues occurred ab...
Read moreout 6 months in. The button worked intermittently, and the device wouldn't charge (light indicating it's full, but not at all). Returned them to the store, and received a replacement in about 4 weeks. (Not sure if they were brand new or a refurbishment - they looked new and were a different colour to mine, but provided in a zip lock bag not original packaging). My second run with the replacement pair was a Half Marathon. Charged them fully overnight, only to have them die about 20 minutes into the two hour run. Annoyed to say the least. It's such a shame to have issues with three pairs now. I persisted this long because they are comfortable with great sound, when they work. I've since bought another brand, and unfortunately while the sound isn't quite as good, at least I know they'll get me to the finish line.Questions & Answers
