Nice tyres but too expensive
The salesman assessed my car needed all 4 tyres replaced and said they would be around $100 each. He collected tyres from warehouse, and put tyres twice as expensive on.
Just go somewhere else.
I've used Beaurepaires services twice. 1st was getting a wheel alignment for both cars. One of the cars was still not aligned correctly and had to return for them to sort it out after they blamed the angle of our roads.
2nd was 2 new front tyres. Steering wheel now doesn't face straight when driving in a straight line but was perfect beforehand. Can't say the wheels weren't aligned properly as they're the ones that aligned them previously.
Have since consulted other people for their experiences with Beaurepaires and it seems that my issues ar...en't isolated. (For the rep that replies with a copy pasted response to everyone on this website, if you truly are sorry and want to help, send me a voucher to get my cars wheels safely aligned. Honestly, I want my car to be safe and will provide requested information.)
Brand loyalty DOESN'T pay
We have always used our local Beaurepaires. Got a flat over the Xmas break and thought it was time to change our tyres as we were at 60000km with the originals. Got online to compare Beaurepaire tyres with online tyre sales. Beaurepaires were offering a coupon discount of 15% off the tyres but online sales were still cheaper. Our mistake was to choose brand loyalty and pay sightly more - which turned out to be even more as the wheel alignment wasn't included. We ended up paying what was the "saving"/discounted amount for an alignment - so really - there was no discount at all as the online guys offered the alignment for free with 4 new tyres. So a note to ourselves - it doesn't pay to be brand loyal.
Dont know what they are doing
I had two Toyo tyres fitted to the front two wheels of my Ranger Ute. I was advised that I should get at least 30-40,000Kms wear from them. At about the 10,000km use both tyres were showing clear signs of wearing on the outside edges. I went back into Pt Lincoln Beaurepaire and asked one of the young guys about this uneven tyre wear - he assured me that that was "normal" on Rangers. I was unconvinced as I couldn't believe that uneven wear was 'normal'. At 17,000kms the worn area was so bad that it was a hazard - I then had the tyres replaced. C...learly there are employees at Pt Lincoln Beaurepaire that are not properly trained or simply couldn't care less. After more than 20 years as a customer I will not be returning to this outlet for tyres again..

Know better, choose better.
I Recently returned to beaurepaires Wynnum after avoiding the place for 9 years after poor service to see if it improved "NOPE". The same idiot runs the place and the staff are equally incompetent. I took my wife's SUV there for a tyre rotation and alignment only to have the alignment set shockingly having to return to fix it. It drove great before hitting this place and the second attempt was still rubbish only to have said idiot manager say it must be the car. Strange it drove better before they touched it. Well I went across the road to Bridgestone Select and it's back to driving wonderfully after there excellent alignment tech re did alignment.
They made a mistake but fixed it with a nice solution.
I give a neutral OK feedback.
They originally wanted to offer me very premium Goodyear tyres for more than $600
I got a quote from Bob Jane T-marts for 4 * Bridgestone Ecopia tyres for $396 incl fitting. I asked Beaurepaires Mount Gravatt (QLD) if they can match because their location was more convenient. I showed them the quote and they said they can match it but those Bridgestone tyres are entry level tyres and will not be that good in rain. I used to sales pitch so we agreed I get those Bridgestone Ecopia tyres originally quoted at Bob Jan...
Service not the greatest, pricey on light truck tyres
Visited Eastern Creek Beaurepairs not long ago to have 2 tyres replaced on my small truck, found the service to be average. Tyres were pricey compared to other tyre shops (extra 25%). Had no choice as I had not much time to shop around.
Very poor and dishonest customer service in Newport Victoria by the Manager
I have been using Beaurepaires for many years at various locations in Victoria though mainly in Essendon and Ballarat for buying tyres or replacing a battery. I have always been satisfied until recently.
I not only got very poor service but there was total lack of courtesy and customer service to point of being rude. I called their 1800 number to lodge a complaint but was asked to speak to the Regional Manager Mark. I was transferred to the mobile number of Mark and left a message for him with my number and to call me but have not heard back...even after 24 hours. I required to get a puncture repaired and went to the shop on Melbourne Road in Newport at 9:45 am. Mr Craig Anderson asked one of his staff to take the tyre from my boot and asked me to colllect it in about two hours. In the past I have never had to leave a tyre and return in a few hours, so i asked if I could wait and get it done while I was here. I was rudely told that it cannot be done at that time. I then requested him to give me a call when it was ready to be picked up. He took my name and mobile number but I never got any call until 2.45 pm when I went to pick up the tyre. Craig brought the tyre out and placed it besides the office wall. I requested him that I wanted to have the tyre put back on the car and the original spare put back in the boot. He rudely said that I will have to make another appointment for that which would have literally taken 5 minutes with a hydraulic jack. I just paid for the puncture and returned. He did not even bother to put the repaired tyre in the boot. I always thought replacing the tyre was included in the price and part of the service. There was no apology for the inconvenience caused, not letting me know the tyre was fixed or the inability to replace it. I am not only disappointed in the total lack of customer service and being short changed, but at the rudeness and arrogance of Mr Anderson. I had not used Beaurepaires service for over a year now and wonder if something has changed lately or is it just this particular shop. I will be hesitant to use the services of Beaurepaires again or recommend to anyone. This shop not just failed to exceed customer satisfaction but even failed to meet the minimum service standard. He obviously does not care about customer loyalty. Perhaps he should rename his shop Mocherepaires.(opposite of Beau in french) Nothing cheat
Questions & Answers
I recently replaced two tyres on my 4wd and the guy at the service centre put the new ones on the front. I have subsequently been advised that they should have gone on the rear as having old ones on the back can cause aquaplaning. Researching on the internet supports my friends advice. Can you please let me know which is correct and why? Thank you
