Havnt had a bad experience... but...
First time ordering from beauty bay and overall my experience has been good, I paid for express shipping and order was dispatched the next day after ordering, it arrive in Brisbane about a week later however I’m not sure why customes held it for so long, it sat in customes for 15days. I had contacted beauty bay and I did get a response and did find their team and customer service helpful. I had asked if it didn’t pass security checks would I be refunded and they said yes. My parcel finally arrived and thankfully everything was in great condit...ion despite not being packedge well. I am abit reluctant to order from there again because of the customs issues. So if you are ordering from there, be prepared to wait Atleast 4weeks and probably don’t pay for express shipping.
I am very satisfied with their service as I am a regular customer. I have seen many negative reviews but i have never experienced anything wrong other than good customer service:)
Very happy it wasn't broken
I put it my first order ever at the end of October and got a email on the 1/11/19 to say it had been shipped, i had emailed Beauty bay to ask were it was but as there is a huge time difference i didn't expect a answer anytime today but to my delight the postie knocked on my door 1 hour after i sent the email..it perfect and it good shape. 19 days later i'm just happy that it got here
Don’t expect express from UK to AU, otherwise it’s wonderful.
Purchased a variety of make up from beauty bay, qualified for express shipping. Came a little later (week and a half instead of 3 days) but was otherwise perfectly wrapped and without issue. I suggest you spend a little more to get tracking every step of the way, and pay with PayPal in case things go south.
First time ordering - excellent experience
People are quick to scream when something goes wrong, but when everything goes smoothly, there is nothing to scream about, and that's why Beauty Bay has so many negative reviews. Well, I had an excellent experience so I'm taking the time to share it as I think that's only fair for them. Hopefully others will do the same so it levels out the playing field.
I recently placed my very first order with them. I was very apprehensive and nervous due to their bad rep. I got free tracked international shipping and everything was completely trackable ...and arrived within 7 days, which is super quick. Products were packaged neatly and individually bubble wrapped for safety. I took one star off because one of my single shadows had a massive swatch mark in the middle and looked like it had definitely been used/tampered with. I emailed customer service and got a reply from a representative within 2 days, issuing a refund promptly. Honestly I was really happy about the service and my friends have all had positive experiences with Beauty Bay too. They don't deserve such a horrible rep.

I ordered from bb on the 28th of June and started getting worried once I read the reviews about 20 days in. I received no confirmation email or dispatch email so I was getting worried that my order had somehow fallen through the cracks. My products arrived today - 7th July - in perfect condition. this is my first order with bb and I will try buying from their site again. Shipping is slow and I believe they should change the shipping times on their website but other than that, I had an overall good experience !! (Thank god)

Usually they take 2 - 3 weeks to get to me in Australia (even though their site says 7 - 10 days). But I generally am saving like 30 - 40% of the price to buy in store here so I say it's worth the wait.
Not to mention 'free shipping' only requires a $26 spend.
Only once have I had an eyeshadow come a bit broken, but it was packaged fine so I'd blame AusPost for that.
Product ordered came perfectly.
I bought off beauty bay before reading all of these reviews and I bought a jeffree star liquid lipstick and was really excited. As beauty bay did say it would take 5-7 working days to come, I still hadn't received my order and tried to contact customer service. As this is a UK website it will take a while to get to Australia. Where I am. But beauty bay should point this out, which they said to me when they responded to my email. So they need to be more clear when saying 5-7 working days because from U.K. To Aus it takes about 3-4 weeks. After r...eading all these nasty reviews and my order hadn't come I didn't get my hopes up and forgot about it and was really quick to judge. A few days later I got a parcel and it was the lipstick! It can wrapped in a box with bubble wrap and I was happy about how it was wrapped. It's my favourite lipstick and I wear it everyday. Do you really think if this website wasn't legitimate bug well known brands would let them have their products on their site? No. I am happy with this website you just need to be paitent and your products will arrive :)
Took awhile if you're in Australia
I ordered 5 items that costs me AU$150 on the 29th October '16, I was worried after reading the reviews for BeautyBay after I placed my order. So I didn't put too much expectation on it and just pray that it will be delivered save and sound on my door. After a month wait, My package finally arrived today, all in good condition as ordered. Thank you Olivia the customer service for making sure my orders has past the UK on the 7th so I could count the days when it was arriving.
The only reason I gave 4 stars review is only because they should really update their international time approximacy depending on the country so not putting hopes on customers.

Wrong Item shipped however solved well!
I waited 3 weeks for my order to arrive using the International Saver method (no tracking). I ordered 1 x Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in Mystic Moon & 1 x Morphe 9C Contour Palette, I received my order to find that they gave me a 9B instead of 9C. I'll see how replacement works but at this rate their regulations state that I will need to pay at my expense and I will get refunded based on that when the required item returns. Customer service is quick, shipping is standard however, being courteous is appalling. I won't make a judgement yet but just...disappointed. ---- UPDATE ---- Very happy with the way they've arranged my order. They got back to me in a few hours via Facebook Messenger stating they'll supply me with a new 9C Palette via express shipping with no additional costs. They said I can also keep the 9B palette. This site is not a scam, quite a lengthy delivery to Australia but customer service is great! Problem solved and one happy customer!
