Broke during first use
This stupid vegetable steamer leaked water onto the heating plated using its maiden voyage - burnt the heating plate out within 30 seconds, never switched on again.
Suction seal was not glued properly to steaming basket which caused water to leak all over live appliance, could have started an electrical fire.
Save your money!
So quick and simple
It was so easy to pop some fish or meat plus veggies into the steamer and go bath baby, knowing that when it had finished cooking, it would shut itself off and be there waiting for a hungry baby. Made enough meals to fill the small containers included in the early days, then 2 larger meals when baby was older. I've taken it camping in its handy carry bag and to family holidays. Very handy product.
Fantastic well worth buying.
Love this machine and look forward to cooking up batches of baby food when needed. I fine it's quick in steaming the food and then popping it into the processer easy done. Also is easy to clean in between cooking batches of food. Yes if you do leave it for awhile, while food is steaming it will turn it's self off, but I rather that then overcook or have the machine still going while if been distracted by little ones. But it is easy to reset again if that happens. Love the fact that it's very affordable as babies are expensive. I find I can mult...itask by cooking up batches of baby food while either looking after little one or tidying the house. But I do feel that you do need to be a one of patience if wanting to cook up really big batches of baby food. But I fine one day of cooking up a storm with the machine, will make enough food for about 3 weeks. Works in well with the Annabel Karmel baby food books. Inexpensive, reliable, quick and easy to use and clean.
I was given this processor as a baby shower gift. While it sounded great and convenient in theory, the reality is that it’s really not that practical and I’ve had issues with its cheap quality. Yes, it’s handy in the sense that you can steam and blend using the one machine. However, in my experience, the negatives outweighed the positives.
Firstly, you can only steam and process small quantities of foods, which is pointless if you want to cook bub’s food in batches and freeze (which is the way to go!). As a result, steaming 3-4 batches ...in a row meant the machine overheated and switched itself off. Also, I found that unless food was steamed to mush, the processor struggled to blend the food and it also struggled to blend things like potatoes and carrots which can be a bit firmer. A couple of times, the blade even became loose as a result of it struggling to get through the food. Then came the real issue I had with it… After only a couple of weeks, I noticed rust forming on the metal disc at the bottom of the blender bowl that the blade sits on! There’s no way to clean this off or prevent further rust from forming as the metal disc cannot be removed for cleaning therefore moisture gets trapped between the disc and the plastic base when you wash it. I rang the Bellini (GSM) Warranty Department and they were completely unhelpful. They said they could only suggest I return it to the store it was bought from for a replacement. But being a gift, I didn’t have a receipt nor did I know where it was bought from! Overall, certainly not worth the effort and money. You would probably be better off investing in a decent stick blender and for about half the price, it would do a better job! Handy if you want to steam and blend small amounts of food using the one machine Can't process large batches of food at a time, struggles to blend food unless it's mush, easily overheats, blades easily become loose during blending, rust formation on metal parts, overall cheap quality parts, poor warranty service
Since I bought it I used it max 5 times and it broke. I couldn't find the receipt so can't get a replacement ( its within one year warranty ), it sucks !!!!! Not happy !!!!
My husband said "don't buy it , looks cheap and plastic, must be bad". So Ok, he was right. :(
Jus not working for no reason !!!
Brand new and straight out of the box and the blender does not work. Even the blade and attachment are very loose. Thought this may be the problem so tried the blender without the actual bowl on but even the spindle did not spin. You only have the ability to steam small batches of foods too. Think I will revert back to my double steamer.
Fairly quick in steaming dept
Expensive, broken out of box, somewhat wary that even though it advertises BPA free, it still has a number 7 code stamped on it
OK, but not brilliant
I was given this machine as a gift when my baby was born, I don't think I would own one otherwise. While the idea of having an all-in-one baby food maker sounds like a convenient idea, the reality of using it is not so convenient. You can only cook a small amount of food at a time, and I have found when you go to blend the food afterwards, the juice (hot juice if you're blending straight after cooking) spurts out from under the lid and splashes you. Also when you pour the food and juices from the steamer into the blender, juice leaks out everyw...here from the steam vents in the jug. I think it would be a lot faster and easier just to cook the food in a large batch on the stove and use a blender to puree it. These problems, coupled with the fact that it only makes small batches seems to defeat the purpose of the intended convenience of this unit. You also have an extra appliance to find space for, whereas you could achieve the same thing with your existing cookware and blender. Two-in-one cooker and blender seemed convenient, neat looking little machine Messy and fiddly, not so convenient
Great,simple easy to use
I bought this product used not new & just cooked with if for the first time & found it very easy to use, quick & compact. I like that I can cook & blend in 1 small unit. With my other children it was get of the saucepan, steamer etc this is a fantastic way to make your own baby food at home in less than 15 minutes. Great & quick to clean so far very happy with it. The only thing I can say bad about it is the size, you can only make small amounts of food at a time. Apart from that I would recommend it to any mum
Not worth the money at all!
Please do not waste your time buying this product. I am currently on my 4th and for month or so it will work brilliantly. Then, for no apparent reason, the blender function stops working. The only reason I stuck it out with these is because Target would replace them free of charge. I am wondering if these items are defective or if I just have bad luck. I will be getting a plain stick blender next time.
Can only make small amounts of food. Too expensive. Blender stopped working in every different one.
Broken after a month!
My baby is 5mths, so I've only been making food for 1mth and it's already broken! The steamer takes much longer than the stated times and the blender only works sporadically. I'm in the process of taking it back for a refund. In addition there is no timer on the steamer so you have to watch it so it doesn't run out of water etc, hard to keep an eye on it with a new bub!
Had to monitor it for time, broke down after a month
I got this product on sale at Target for about 40% off. I couldn't justify spending the full retail price on this but now that I've been using it for while I find it very helpful. It saves dragging out the saucepan, the steamer bit to put on top and then the food processor/blender once the food is cooked. It only makes small amount of food at a time which can be a bit time consuming but it means that you can be inventive with your cooking and make small amounts of lots of different food and try different combinations.
The sale price was very...
