Bezzera Quality ???
I have purchased Bezzera Coffee Machines since 1996 start with the BZ99 the Domus Gatea, Gulian, Mitica Top and recently Mitica Top PID, Over the years even though the Bezzera machines are good, they lack gusto, they don't address product problems Such as the cheap Black Rubber feet they use to hold lids up which melt within 2 years and have to be replaced. The most recent purchase Mitica Top Pid they have replaced the drip tray with a wire tray replacing the previous stainless steel tray which easily scratched and looked unsightly over a s...hort time. Replacing this wire tray which is better but they forgot to put in the finger holes in it to remove the tray which your have to do every brew, I had to buy a cheap plastic Spatula purchased from Bunnings to be able to remove the tray. This tray does not match the cup heat tray so little to no thought has been made from the Research and Development team in Bezzera (if they have one)???? Living in Brisbane Australia I have to use their agent a lack lustre company that seem more involved in selling competitor product than Bezzera. Doesn't Bezzera.com.it monitor their agent and periodically tender the service contract to the best company rather that doing nothing but using the same old stale regime that has lost direction? Bezzera Grinders are poorly designed with their black rubber feet which hold up their lids which melt in a couple of years and need replacing, together with the cheap plastic hopper and hopper flow control (a witches hat) which crack and need replacing at the cost of $90.00 AUD. I am sure Luigi Bezzera (1901) , would be rolling in his grave seeing his vision being destroyed by modern day incompetence.
Purchased in July 2021.
Bezzera Mitica-superb engineering and design
After much research, I purchased a Bezzera Mitica (Vibration pump) and wish I would have done so years ago.
Built like a tank, but a very shiny one ..
I love the joystick/taps for the steam and hot water, much better than knobs I think.
The Faema e61 group is phenomenal, although it does take about 45 minutes to heat up initially, but in a pinch, just run a couple of shots of hot water through the head with the portafilter locked in,I have mine on a timer so it is always ready for the first cup of the day.
