Recently bought myself a duel shock Marin Alpine 7. From the moment i paid to the moment i receive the bike i was constantly updated with tracking and the bike arrived in perfect condition.
Ploygon mountain bike
Really impressed with the polygon mountain bike - good build quality and great specs for the frame, gears and brakes.
Packaged really well with tools for the final build.
Well done bicyclesonline!
Recently bought a Marin hybrid bike unseen. Was a bit apprehensive but the bike ended being what I hoped for. Packaging was good and assembly instructions were clear. No complaints.
They have your back when Aus Post fails
I purchased pedals from bicycles online.
Australia post said that they delivered the item when in reality they never did.
While Australia post where pushing me around and doing nothing to help, bicycle online stepped in and sent using registered mail a new pair of pedals.
Now this is what I call customer service.
I bought a Polygon Syncline C5.
It arrived fast and was quite easy to put together and adjust following the How-to YouTube clips as guidance.
I also ordered some other gear, part of which was not sent, they looked into it, found the problem and sent the missing item express post.
Great all-around mountain bike
I live in The Alice. We have a mixture of trail, enduro and short downhill riding. The N9 is a solid trail bike with responsive gearing and the ability to take sweeping corners without getting on the brakes. Also, the suspension selectors are conveniently located for quick lock out.
It is a beast over rocks. My only complaint is that I would have liked the option of 170mm cranks to allow full suspension while rock crawling. The 175mm cranks cause me to constantly slam my pedals into rocks. So, I either choose the middle selection or lockout fo...r the rear suspension to avoid the clash. The front suspension has chewed every trail that Alice has to offer. I am an intermediate rider that is now taking Bus and Bob Gnarly trails with ease - and looking for more. As for climbing, it isn’t built for climbing, but I find it quite easy to get up steep slopes with multiple switch backs. I expected much more difficulty navigating the up and down trails of the Mac ranges. The short downhills here are actually easier the faster I go. I don’t have to really steer. I can use my hips to flow through the turns with absolute ease. It really is fun to the point that I do pull the brakes as I’m not used to the speed that I am carrying now. For the cons - I only had the option of the 170mm dropper on the large frame. With the seat post bottomed out, I am about 10mm higher than I would prefer. I am 183cm and almost contemplated the XL frame. Good thing I didn’t or I might not reach the pedals. A bit more sizing scrutiny would help considerably. I was quite disappointed that there was not an option for fatter tubeless tyres with slime. The tyres are good, but 2.3’s aren’t that great for Alice. The tubes were the cheapest that money could buy with no ability to remove the valve stem and put in slime. I spent $149 immediately on a 2.5 Maxxis Rekon for the front, rim tape and tubeless valve stems. Big difference between the first and second ride after the change. The brake pads are a bit under average. I would never do any serious downhills with them. I look forward to upgrading so that I can power slide around corners. I read negative reviews on the seat - “the @$$ hatchet” I believe was the name. Personally, I don’t mind it. It isn’t comfortable per se, but a good average seat. The grips are fine, not great. The bike is a bit heavy, but all my friends ride $$$$ carbon rigs. So everything is heavy compared to that. It weighs less than other comparable aluminium bikes - everything is relative. The welds look extra strong, which means I am comfortable pushing my limits and knowing that the bike can withstand a big stack.

Incorrect sizing and no customer service focus to fix the issue. Avoid
Ordered a Marin bicycle online for my partner who is 164cm. The Small advised it was suitable for 160cm - 167cm. This was far from the case as once it was put together and the saddle height the lowest it could go, my partners feet could still not touch the ground. After several emails, pictures and confirmation of measurements back and forth, customer service advised it is too big. Their resolution was the cut the seat post which is at a cost to me, and also I need to wait four weeks for this to occur due to Melbourne being in lockdown.
No hint of apology, admission of fault, admission of misleading sizing guide or offer to cover the cost I will incur due to their incorrect information on their website. Never again
Polygon Siskiu D6 Love It......

Polygon Siskiu D5
Overwhelming, grateful experience. Having a dual suspension bike on a tight budget and over performing bike on a beginner like me! Truly amazing bike! Highly recommended with different range they have.

If you have to speak to customer service, you’re better off buy the bike elsewhere
The bike I want to purchase is special order only, so I called up to do the special order, I asked if I was able to pay a portion of the $7000 on zip pay, I was told I’d be called back with a answer and never got called back, a few days later I call again as I noticed the bike went up to $7500, explained to this person that I was annoyed that I now have to pay more money because of his colleagues incompetence, then this guy lies to me says there is none at the factory so it can’t be ordered yet, so I emailed the manufacturer (polygon) to check ...to which they said, that they are in stock. I also wouldn’t bother leaving a message if you don’t get through on the phone as it won’t be replied to anyway. Edit: through email correspondence this issue has been resolved, so I’ve updated the review
Perfect for a Mouldy Oldie (Me)
For me, this bike has been the best purchase of the COVID times. It’s intuitive to ride, the customer service was better than expected and it’s making me social. What else could I possibly want from a bike?
The only thing I have to loose is my middle age paunch!
Fantastic business all round
Never going anywhere else to buy in the future. Great bikes, great packaging. Worth every cent. They go above and beyond for an transaction. Bikes went together easy and very straight forward.
Light and easy to ride bike with enough gears to get you up and down hills. Looks great and the basket is very useful. Bicycles online website was easy to use and the shipping was prompt. There online help service is also very useful.
Marin Fairfax 3 - a great bike!
This is an update to my first review. Two weeks in on this bike and I'm enjoying every km of my 20 km daily exercise ride. It's quick and comfortable. Coming from a 27 speed bike, I find the 18 speeds give me all the changing flexibility I need. I also find that I no longer get hand cramps - possibly the wider bars and ergonomic grips have something to do with this. The only downside is that this is a very good looking bike, much better looking than the photos show. You'll have to be careful to always keep it near when you go for coffee, and ta...ke it into the office when you commute to work. Also, I love the extensive use of hydroformed tube in the construction. You can see how the designers have worked to give a strong but comfortable frame.
Marin Rift Zone 2 buy of the Century
This bike is awesome, Dollar for Dollar, I don't think you can get better for an entry level bike.
Only negative is if you are riding up hills, either have enormous legs or change the heavy ultra tractable tyres. I changed the Tyre's and have not looked back. I just love it!!!!!
This bike the path e5. Is up there with the best. Most top e bikes $5000 plus. I can now go out for a whole day and enjoy our lovely country,s climate.
Topeak Journey Trailer
Bicycles Online provided a great product that arrived quickly and met every expectation. The trailer was easy to fit and effortless to hitch and unhitch. Looking forward to many happy cycling holidays.
Fantastic experience and value for money.
I ordered a bike for my son and it arrived exceptionally well packaged, it was easy to assemble. The bike itself is great quality and after this experience I would highly recommend anyone looking for a bike to seriously consider this option when purchasing.
Exceptional service and great bike
I purchased a Cell Ultimo step through e bike and was so impressed, my partner purchased one as well. Very fast and low shipping cost. The bike is packed full of great features.
A fabulous electric bike
I ordered an electric step through bike from Bicycles Online and it is not only a very well priced bike, it is well put together, and wonderful to ride. It brings me much joy, convenience, exercise and fun.
