Avoid at all costs if you want reliability
We placed 2 orders (small parcels) from a fireplace company and was advised it was sent by Big Post. We have never heard of Big Post and trust this is the last time we ever encounter this bucket shop. We live 94km from the fireplace company and the delivery was within Victoria (Melbourne to Romsey). The first order was 2 parcels - 1 arrived ONE week later...the other TWO WEEKS later. Great delivery! I was treated like I actually meant something, full respect. The delivery was on time, the item was held for me until I could arrange collection. The fork lift driver was perfect, made an awkward delivery easy and helped me to safely secure the load safely and securely… thank you Dave Nolan

Worst IT and customer service and incompetent company
3 texts to say come and collect. Not at depot. Total drive time 3 by 2 hour return trips. Then told could collect from toll direct. Drive time 3 hours. Drove to toll only to be told can not be realeased to third party. Time on hold on phone 4 hours. Should have driven to Melbourne to pick it up myself. Still haven’t received goods at time of writing. The company tells you anything to hang up. When I said I will stay on the line until they ring toll and run a tracking search was told not possible. Stay away from this company that uses the cheapest possible contractors as if anything goes wrong you will not get a straight answer.

If you value your customers, do not use Big Post.
If I could give zero stars I would. We bought a product from a supplier who utilised Big Post. The item was to be sent to a local depot for collection. The item was picked up and delivered to the depot within 48 hours. It was two weeks before Big Post notified us that the item was at the depot for collection. This was only after we chased it up. We emailed Big Post who did not apologise and just blamed the depot.
We will not buy from a supplier that uses them.

Bad customer service

Insists on passing the blame onto everyone else
I purchased a piece of furniture that required a skid 3 weeks ago to be delivered to the nearest depot within 5 working days. $150 with $12 insurance for a 270Km drive seemed great. Until my piece of furniture was lost in transit.
Big Post have used every excuse under the sun to blame my supplier (not their fault) blame the sub contractor TOLL IPEC and take no responsibility.
I’ve asked for remuneration based upon the Freight Warranty purchased. Answer NO.

Nothing good to say after that experience
My parcels were dropped off by TNT on the 5th January. This same week I dropped in and asked if Big Post had received them, to be told they're not there yet. I chased these parcels 2 more times, once by phone, then another visit. I ended up dropping in again (12th) because TNT (NOT TOLL) had already delivered it to these guys on the 5th. After a bunch of confusion, it was discovered that my parcels may have come after hours, and not been "checked in" to the system. Anyway, when I finally collect my missing packages, the guy tells me someone there changed the con note number on the boxes. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT??? In the end, I've been given different reasons for why my parcels were "invisible". Pallet wouldnt fit on my trailer. without asking big post depot shepparton unpacked and hand stacked goods onto my trailer, tied down goods and disposed of waste packaging. Highly recommend.

Still waiting after my goods they were dispatched on the 28 September, I have contacted your office on a number of times and apparently still can't get any feedback from Toll who I am assuming are the 3rd Party be great to know if my parcel is in transit or lost. I have paid for this $700 and still don't know where the hell it is.
The seller has now had to send a replacement let's hope it arrives. Would have been good to have the replacement be delivered as a priority give the have resent it by Bigpost.

She is such a star! So rare to find someone who says what they will do and then does what they say.
Big Post took an order; the shipping firm the order was booked with, Toll Ipec, failed miserably.
I won't bore you with the details, but when you have literally exhausted every option then you need to call Gemma (Jemma?!) since she is the veritable 'dog with a bone' - she wont stop till she gets every last bit.
And she did.
And praising her here is the only way I can really say thanks.
