Bing Lee Burwood store: Awful experience
Bing Lee Burwood stor, bought a very expensive vacuum that didn't not work as advertised (upright)
I took the vacuum back the next day and they refused return or replace, the vacuum did turn on and that was all they cared, for them any other fault or issue goes under "change of mind" and therefore not accepted
From now on I will stay away from Bing Lee even when they have discounts etc, it is not worth the risk

I returned a Sunbeam Master to the store because the bowl turntable was not working. The woman in charge was very rude. She told me she would not replace the whole machine but only the turntable despite having brought a replacement into the store for me. She proceeded to unpack 2 new mixers and BOTH turntables didn't work either. Finally, she tried to tell me that the turntable wasn't supposed to go around after all! I assured her my mixer turntable had gone around for the past 3 months. After much effort in trying to get the new mixers to ...work (which they didn't) I was grudgingly offered a return or buy a different mixer. Obviously, Sunbeam have serious issues with their product quality. I will not be shopping at this store again due to the rudeness of the staff.

Bought a portable air con from the casula store, my brother in law has a unit from good guys with the same specs that is able to cool down a lounge room with ease. Our purchase made the lounge room hotter than the temperature outside and unless you sat directly in front, it was still hot. Called for a refund and because it wasn’t deemed “faulty”, I was told I would have to sacrifice 20% of cost for a refund because it was “change of mind”. Product did not perform as it should but apparently that’s my own fault. Customer service was disgraceful, will never purchase from these crooks again! Make sure you read returns policy!

I have just attempted to return an apple ipad to bing lee armidale nsw 2350 in original container unmarked and received the day after they will not refund for goods that were purchased 14 days prior to the date on the invoice

Purchased fridge and 3 months later it stopped working and would not cool. tried to get replacement or refund but bing lee Rhodes did not want to help. They have now ceased all communications and will not help. Had to go to fair trading for help and now they are lying to fair trading to make it even more difficult. Do not buy anything from these crooks if anything goes wrong they will not help. they are only interested in your money and once they have it they don't care about after sales support.
Selling second-hand goods which are disguised as brand new?
My wife purchased a Sunbeam coffee machine from Bing Lee's online eBay store with pick up from Marsden Park.
I opened it after fathers day and noticed the tape on the box looked like it had been opened previously but thought nothing of it. I continued to open and set up the machine. I noticed some brown residue on the housing around the grinder which started to arouse my suspicions. The instructions recommended flushing the machine with tap water which i did. I noticed in the flushed water small brown pieces which resembled ground coffee. Thi...s further caused me to suspect this was a used machine. I proceeded to attempt to make the first cup of coffee but the machine jammed 2-3 times. At this point, mixed with my suspicion of it being a second hand or returned product, i decided to return it to Bing Lee. They tried to palm it off to Sunbeam and told me it is normal for the machine to be tested before sale but i said its hard to believe they would make a coffee as part of their QA process. Without saying a word, they proceeded to pull all the parts out of the box and tried to make a cup of coffee. After 15 minutes of them fumbling around and using a vacuum to suck out beans stuck in the grinder they proceeded to tell me the machine worked like normal. I found this strange as i have never had a company try and challenge me by setting up a faulty product to try and prove me wrong. Anyway, we went back and forth where they continually refused my request for a refund. After 10 or so minutes, they called the Sunbeam rep who told them to offer me a refund or replacement. I don't know what the point of Bing Lee is if they are completely governed by the manufacturer and cant make their own decisions?
Rubbish after sale service
I bought a in Old Guildford Binglee two months ago, at the time of purchase they did not mention anything about the terms of warranty, recently i found the microwave was not working, i went to them and they checked and stated that it was due to cockroach damage??? which was not covered in the warranty. What the hell is this excuse? I am a year 4 university engineering student, i am not going to accept this crap excuse for their terrible product quality .
Worst after sales experience
Purchased a TV that failed and the manufacturer did not have spare parts to repair it. Bing Lee didn't give a toss and ignored their obligations under the ACL and basically fobbed me off to the manufacturer. Thanks a lot /s
