Rhodes Store lady slammed my lights on bench & wanted me to pay for a paper bag
I went to collect my EBay order last Thursday from the Rhodes store. I ordered 8 Panasonic LED globes. The Asian lady behind the front counter went to the storage drawer to collect my 8 Panasonic LED globes. In doing so she slammed the globes down on the Bench in front of me. She also wanted to charge me for a Paper Carry bag. She eventually gave me one. I asked her how you expect me to carry all these globes to the car? I am sorry but this sort of customer service and attitude is totally unacceptable.
Don’t get me wrong I love shopping at ...Bing Lee. My main store is Hornsby. I bought a quantity of 5 of the same product from Bing Lee Hornsby and the staff were fantastic. I did not have to even request a bag for the purchase and they were very friendly, Unlike Rhodes Store. Why would Bing Lee Rhodes keep on a staff member like this and continue to get ongoing complaints? I have also given Negative feedback through EBay for Bing Lee Rhodes. I do hope that Bing Lee Management read this review and action these problems ASAP. I will not shop again at Bing Lee Rhodes until the problems are sorted out.
Bad customer service, delivery service is appalling
I purchased a washing machine from Chatswood Bing lee store and delivery for Monday. Driver called and said delivery between 9am-12pm. Driver never turned up and his mobile phone was diverted to voicemail and couldn't get through to him
Called up head office, staff was unhelpful saying this is the driver that will deliver and no other options were given. I took a day off from work waiting for the item to be delivered and it never turned up.
I wok not purchase from Bing Lee and have been telling people about the service I received

Bad service and costumer care Chatswood
I bought a nespresso machine, and it was faulty, and I noticed it was faulty. Note: Two weeks few days it's basically new. I called....and after brought the machine, explain to them the issue, it leaks water. I wanted a new one....but not given. Okay they must see the proof of it. The problem is the service.no proper attention at all. The supposed person who's attending me, while its there to help me, sees someone else and leaves me..by myself and the machine there, and I have no time to waste, then came back because I call. Later same day I we...nt back to see if they saw the leak.apparently didn't happen. So I didn't accept to take it back. I knew there was a problem. So I left.and impressively the staff seams like.dont really care. That's very bad. The Manager doesn't seem to be bothered either. There was a man when I came in I don't know if was the manager. didn't seem polite at all.. On the 19/04/2016 yesterday. Went there in the morning and saw the machine..with water all around. now at least everyone could see! well went home without new one. As I am writing now...I called before because today they would have it. But unfortunately was told to me only friday. So in other words perhaps if I waited for the call I would never receive. Now let's see friday...and I'm either taking a new one, my replacement or the money back. I know where I stand...and for future after getting my new machine, or money I'll never buy something from bing lee. Looks like the shop wants to protect more itself, then costumers. To finish my review its like, they don't pass security...to you as costumer, you don't feel comfortable or safe.
Bing LEE Chatswood extremely disappointed
Bought a washer that is faulty within first week; went to talk with staff and will not accept any responsibility; simply instructed us to deal with manufacturer directly. He said "We do not have any technician that can check the machine; how do we know it's faulty?!"
According to the Fair Trading Australia:
"The remedies you can seek from the retailer who sold you the product include a repair, replacement, or refund and in some cases compensation for damages and loss.

Bad Customer Service
I purchased an expensive camera at Bing Lee Chatswood (mistake - JB Hi Fi is just around the corner and was selling the same camera for $100 cheaper). Sales staff generally very rude/indifferent and were not aware of the latest offers at Bing Lee as advertised on the Bing Lee website. After purchasing an almost $1000 item, I was handed a bag and told to bag the item myself. I hope the camera doesn't have a fault, as I would dread having to deal with the staff again.
Incompetent staff - never again will I visit bing lee
Old Guildford store. Phoned day before to purchase particular air con system. Sales men allocated one and was given purchase number.
Travelled 3hrs to purchase and pick up.
Paid for unit went to pick up around at their warehouse to find out that they are all sold and allocated to other customers. Incompetent sales man did not lock my order in and that unit was taken by another store.
No apology from salesman. Took them 2min to take my money and 30min to refund it.
So 4hrs wasted . First time and will be last time I step foot into a bing lee.
Lucky Harvey Norman went out of the way to get a unit To the next day.

Abused by Bing Lee Store Manager
Never have I been more insulted than during a recent visit to Bing Lee's store at Hornsby. I bought a product which was advertised at a price clearly displayed on the shelf.
I was then informed at the checkout that the price was incorrect. The store manager then hurled abuse on me, and proceeded to inform me that one should not trust the price on display.
This is my worst experience by a retailer ever.
Check your product before leaving store
Bought DSLR Nikon 5500 from binglee hornsby, there was no seal on any boxes(may be this is how it comes) but as soon as i opened the box in car i realized no power adaptor for the charging dock. had to drive back after and hour to explain. I thought I would get an apology and adaptor straight away but what i got was we are sure of the quality and it is not possible. After spending AUD 950 I was discussing a 5 dollar adaptor. Finally with a straight face the guy did give me the adaptor after I told him i am not walking off. They can surely improve on customer service and may be also a bit on quality check. PS: Open the box check everything is in place before leaving the store.
Shocking store presence, operation and staff conduct
I went to the Moorepark store in search of a LED television. I'm well aware of the electrical sales as I have past experience in selling all things electrical. As I went into the shop it was like entering a gambling establishment in down town China. While I was at the TV section my sister noticed a guy following us around. After looking at the guy I thought he was just a customer as he was very ordinary dressed, but to my surprise he was a salesperson. He'd just been out the back (still chewing food) was wearing a dirty stained shirt that was hanging out down to his groin. The store experience was simply terrible so we ducked out and walked down to Harvey Norman.
Will not go again
Went to buy a hair dryer at Bing Lee Chatswood. Wanted to ask a couple of questions before buying it, but could not get anyone to help me.
Finally managed to catch a guy at a computer, but when I went up to him, he just stared at me, annoyed. I asked if he was free and he mumbled that he was busy.
Needless to say I left without purchasing.
Terrible customer service.
Bing Lee Chatswood
We've recently replaced our entire home electrical appliances with the help of Bing Lee's staff in Chatswood.
My wife and I went in the store thinking we've done our planning but soon realised that the choices available were quite overwhelming. We've visited the shop a few times, each time received excellent service and eventually we worked out a great deal as we bought a large sum of goods for our new home.
The staff was efficient, organised and they delivered on time as promised! Very happy with the whole experience.
Great store, good range, upbeat vibe and friendly. Rhodes branch.
Just moved to Sydney and found Bing Lee whilst looking for electrical goods. The Rhodes branch was big, fresh and full of all the latest goodies. I think their displays are as good as some of the bigger stores in the US. Ill be shopping there again.
Friendly and informative staff too.
They made this loud yank happy.
Unsatisfactory record keeping
Bought an electronic product for $89 in June which ceased working a few weeks ago. Went back to Bing Lee Chatswood and presented credit card statement showing purchase but after 6 months did not have receipt. Who keeps receipts for 6 months of a small purchase?
Other shops will look up the date of purchase on their computer but Bing-Lee claim they keep no records of sales under $150 and refused to consider a return and then claimed they did not sell that brand.
I remember the sale clearly as I was told the product had a rechargeable battery ...
Worst customer service rhodes store
We have been buying goods from binglee for many years now. We have bought all our electronics only from Binglee. We had the worst customer service experience this weekend. We had bought a vacuum cleaner a year ago from the rhodes store. Fantastic service by the person who had served us then. We have gone back and purchased more goods from rhodes binglee only because of the good service provided by this sales person.
We used the vacuum cleaner only 5 times and it broke down. There was a burning smell and weird noise. We took the vacuum cleaner...
Rude and ignorant sales staff
Purchased a fridge for an apartment from the Eastwood store. The fridge was delivered by one person who left it in the foyer because he could not bring it up 2 flights of stairs with a trolley due to OHS, which is fair enough. At the time of purchase the salesman did not ask us how many flights of stairs it needed to go up and when I sppoke to him he turned around and said he did which was an outright lie. On request to bring a second delivery person to take it up with a trolley, they washed their hands and said it was our problem now. I had to...take time out of work to get it up myself. We have bought from other retailers who had no issues with heavy items, gave free delivery and removed packaging. At Liverpool Bing Lee, they removed the packaging and setup our washing machine at no charge!! The service at Eastwood is miserable, short-sighted and rude - buyer beware. No service once they get your money.
On 25 April I went into the Chatswood store with my fiance to look at fridges. Having been to the good guys already we had a fair idea of what we were looking at. After telling the salesman the fridge we saw there he said he could do it $350 cheaper, but we would have to wait. He then served another customer while we considered it. Meanwhile we spoke to the manager and he couldn't even match his salesmans price? Lie no.1.
We then spotted the same fridge in white (the other was stainless steel finish) and decidied if he could do us a good pr...ice we would take that one. After a little haggleing we got to a price we thought was fair, organised delivery and left overall pretty satisfied with the expereince. The following day we got delivery and that is when things turned for the worse. We unpackaged our new fridge all excited only to find there was a dent in the freezer door. Whilst not a large dent, nor did it make the fridge unusable, it was still damaged goods. When I rang the salesman he said "if its not a big dent, no worries". The point was that if I had wanted to buy a factory second with a dent in it I would have bought a factory second. But I didn't. I wanted and paid for a brand new, undamaged fridge, which is not what was delivered. I then asked if the salesman could issue some sort of reimbersement for the damaged fridge or replace it with an undamaged one. He then offered me a $40 gift card. I refused his offer as we had nothing that we wanted to buy from them. He then increased this to a $50 gift card. I again refused and asked for money to be refunded to me off the price of our damaged fridge. He then said if I wanted cash that he would "buy the $50 gift card from me for $40"!!!! I was amazed at the dishonest practices coming from this guy. At this point I had enough of the dishonest and unethical sales techniques of the salesman. I then stated to him that I would like him to send out a new undamaged fridge and remove the dented one from our unit. He refused and said he could not as "they had no more stock in the warehouse". Lie no.2.
headache and ignorance bing lee staff gave me don't equal the saving
I ordered online for a cheap table $99 last thursday, and requested for the tablet to be shipped to Haymarket store. Bing Lee emailed me the shipping info and charged my credit card. I went to the store but they said they don't have the stock. When I called BL, the staff told me that the tablet was sent to my house but I was not home. They told me to go to their warehouse to collect it. They said I can't collect it from the store since they don't have the stock. When I asked why don't they just send the tablet to the Haymarket store, they said ...it can not be done because the courier can only send the goods to customers. So I asked them to send it to my office. They said they will inform the courier. When I track via the courier website, the tracking number given to me in the shipping note was incorrect. I sent email to James the sales rep, but he didn't reply. This morning I received a call from James and another guy from BingLee deliveries, telling me that the tablet will be sent to me this afternoon. At 5 pm today I called both guys, but to my surprised both of them said that it is not them who called me. So who did call me? do you give my phone number to other people?. I called BL again, and this time one of the guy kindly enough to give me the correct order tracking number.. It may be incorrect but just assumed it is. When I saw the status of my order. It was written that my tablet is still with the courier since Wed. So what the purpose of BL calling me this morning with misleading info?. I called/email BL staff, but for them as long as the goods has been sent to the courier, it is no longer their responsibility. They told me to chase the courier myself and arrange it with the courier myself. I posted a complaint on Fb, but it was deleted. The ignorance of bing lee staff made me angry. So as long as they get the money and sent out the order, their job is done. The rest is customer responsibilty. What a joke! never again buy anything from BL ignorance, not proffesional, empty promise, bad service
Bing Lee, Hornsby
Worst customer service has to be at Bing Lee Hornsby. Unfriendly and cold. I was looking to buy a camera and when I asked the salesman for the best price, he walked away with the camera, so I thought he was going to look on the system to see what he could do for me. I waited and waited for so long and the next thing I turned around there he was serving another customer with a laptop. How rude!
So, I got another guy to serve me. His name was [Personal Name Removed] who was as cold as a freezer. I went back to the store another day and waved at ...
I visited Penrith Store and spoke to [name removed] re a problem I was having with my computer and printer he suggested if possible to bring both into the store for help. The next day I did exactly that but [name removed] was not there so another staff member [name removed] took my problem on board and Wella problem was fixed. I must admit the service I received was beyond my expectations but did not surprise my really, I have be dealing with Bing Lee since 1967 at Fairfield. Many thanks to you young men that helped a senior get out of trouble.
For a bad customer experience, step right in to Bing Lee Chatswood! :D
So here we were, my cousin and I, trying to shop for a hairdryer for my girlfriend.
As 'everything is negotiable' in Bing Lee, we decided to see just how their prices compared with Myer. To begin with, it wasn't all that much cheaper even after an initial reduction from the salesdrone. So we tried to negotiate, because you know... thats what the stores are famous for.
What we got was an implacable robotic wall of zero compromise and at that point we tried to bargain one last time, we weren't even being that unreasonable. The drone then pr...oceeded to say 'you go talk to the manager.' And walked off. Given that he doesn't want my business at all, I have found a much better deal online - without the attitude or the fuss. Bing Lee, your enemies are not online stores, but your own staff who don't care....
