Blueair 450E

AVOID Blueair no customer service, no response re them lying their purifiers have HEPA filters and other false claims – Repeated contact with no response for MONTHS proves blueair are lying to their customers about their purifiers having HEPA filters when they do not, and that their claims they're made in Sweden are false because they're made in China and they refuse to explain this, and forcing customers to buy filters even when not required just to keep their warranty - I've asked all these questions repeatedly, the Australian distributor is a joke and knows nothing forcing me to contact blueair head office overseas, but nothing from blueair, no response at all for many moths. AVOID!!!

One of the reliable air purifiers on the market – This is without a doubt one of the most reliable and best air purifiers on the market. I know this because I spent $450 buying a Dylos DC1700 from Amazon which monitors air pollution in real-time. I placed the purifier in a room. The Dylos LEDs reported 650. Within 30 minutes, it dropped to 150 after turning the Blueair on medium, which according to EPA/WHO is excellent air quality. Over the years I have purchased many air purifiers and the Blueair 203, 450 are excellent air purifiers. I have a few units throughout the house and they are still going strong after 9 YEARS!

Very solid, well designed, good airflow and power efficient. 270E – I suffer from various allergies including constant sinus congestion, sinus infections which are extremely debilitating. I researched hard over this and decided on the blue air as it got good reviews. I actually have the 270E the smaller version for this as I needed it for the bedrooms as well as the living room of 22-30 square meters. I only just got this 2 days ago and already love it.

Looks can be deceiving the smaller unit is exactly the same as the others and still delivers.

It is a very solid unit of mostly metal parts but very light weight to carry around. As I need to move it from the living room, bedroom and home office.

The air flow is very good and normal operation the fan is very quiet. On auto it will normally stay low, but it's hot and humid so it's on speed 2 and I'm actually using it as air conditioning / filter in combination of an IONMax 612 dehumidifier at a fraction of the power usage.

The normal filter seems to do a good job with the musty smell in the house which I believe is mould related and really messes me around , even though I scrubbed everything. It will come back but it does a good job to keep it at bay in the living room keeping windows open also. They provide a carbon filter which is more expensive and probably needed to remove gases and vapours but the normal filter works for normal odours.

The filters are not cheap and have to be replaced every 6 months for their 5 year warranty plan just be weary of that but they are biodegradable I believe which is a good thing. I have water filters lying around I have absolutely no idea what to do with as I refuse to throw stuff in landfills.

Go and check these out in person and research around. My goal is possible a ducted version of the blue air for all rooms when I get a place.

Life changing – The Blue Air 450E Air Purifier has literally changed my life. I suffer from allergies to pet dander and dust, and possibly grass pollen. The 450E is quiet, efficient and cleans the air beautifully. I used to be woken by the urge to sneeze during the night and early into the morning, to the point where I would have a huge sneezing fit and have trouble getting back to sleep. Now I sleep right through and even when I wake up, my nose is clear and not all stuffy. I can also keep my fan on in the hot weather now while I sleep, whereas before I could not keep it on as it would blow the dust around in the room making me sneeze more. I don't sneeze anymore in the morning and my throat is also clear. It's an amazing product, I feel so much more relaxed and no longer miserable from sneezing all the time and having a dry, itchy throat. For me, this product makes me feel like I don't even have allergies anymore, it's wonderful, highly recommended! Reliable, quiet, efficient, nice modern design.
