Product and work great however employee attitude some what average.
I spoke with Xxxx, Said I was wanting some tyres and rims and advised was wanting a wheel alignment. Was quoted x amount of dollars. This is 2 items, wheels and wheel alignment.
I turn up and have the work done.
So now the amount is x dollars more than previous quote.
He tells me that the wheel alignment is extra.
Why wasn’t this added to the the quote as requested.
Now he argued that this wasn’t part of the initial quote.
He thinks this is funny.
Anyhow I have spent thousands of dollars in this establishment over the years and this year alone have had 3 seperate cars fitted with wheels and tyres.
I am thinking I will now have to find a more honest tyre shop.
Reception staf in aspley shop is terrible
While customers waitting infront of reception the receptionist or menager was on the phone non stop ignoring we exist that l never go to bob jane anymore and this was at aspley brisbane shop
Bob Jane T-Marts Nunawading (VIC)- a lesson
Bought 4 new tyres and the team had done a good job but I did request to put the best condition tyre on spare but it wasn't done. I went back to the shop and I believed he is a management says it's the best one but I said the manufacture year on the spare tyre still shows 2012 which was 8 years ago (if it had changed, it would be 2017). The gentleman agreed to change it for me, 10 mins after, a young man brought it back and I found that the manufacture year / week had gone. Looks like the gentleman spent some time using a machine to remove t...he manufacture year / week on the tyre instead of changing it. Well done. Is there anyone have a question "Bob jane nunawading is committed to the customer safety" as they advertised in the waiting room tv ??? I was told to go back with a free rotation and free wheel alignment after 3 months but if they didn't have time to change the spare tyre, don't think they have time to do anything free......
Good price fir tires but lousy sevice
First of all to be objective they have a best price in town for tires.
But, this all go out of whack when it comes to service.
After changing 4 tires, one had sticker still affixed to a new tire and that tire was not balanced. Had to go to another service to re balance all 4 tires.
I was also, strictly advised to do alignment though I had no problems. After Bob Jane alignment my car now pulls to the left (on brand new tire). This mean I need to go and spend more money to get alignment done properly.
Not happy at all. Will never go to have business with Bob Jane in Wollongong again.
Nothing bad, but nothing good
Service at Brookvale store is meh.
They fitted tyres and that's what I wanted. Wouldn't have bothered going there, since access is not great, but the 4 for 3 deal was ending and they had stock of the tyres I needed.
They are clearly interested in selling tyre alignments. At least they didn't try for Nitrogen Fill.
Rang them about set of tyres. I knew which type and size I wanted, since I had fitted them before to another car and found them to work well.

Go there only to get tires
Bob Jane Epping - got 4 new Michelin tires for my car. My bad I also got the alignment done as my car was perfectly fine with the old tires. These guys don't do road test and rely on machine. On my way home, I felt was going to the left side. I called them up, they asked me to come again. Went there on another day, they checked and said the alignment is out even though they adjusted 3 days back which made things worse for me. I had to spend 2 hours there and again got an alignment issue on my way back. Stupid waste of time as I had to go on wor...king days on both occasions. I ended up going to a local mechanic and he was able to resolve the matter within 5 minutes. The alignments Bob Jane did were incorrect. I ended up paying at 2 different places. For purchasing tires - no doubt it's a good option and I got better deals than anywhere else.
Unhappy with customer service
I went to change my tires at their Dandenong branch. I got an over the counter quote but was not told that Nitrogen would be used to inflate the tires. This costs a further $40. If the sales person would have explained this beforehand, I would have told him not to use Nitrogen. A tax invoice was not provided in paper form but was sent to my email, so I was unable to address the issue immediately. I feel cheated as they need to explain their pricing breakup clearly beforehand.
American racing wheels ASX Yukon 200. Very disappointed !
Purchased a set of five American racing wheels "Yukon asx 200 satin black" for my 4w4 Prado in October 2018, very happy with them until in I noticed the paint on three of the wheels coming off ! "this was Feb 2020 16mths after purchase" I went back to Bob Jane at Modbury to show them, so they took pics of the three wheels.. a few days later they contacted me to inform me that the wheels were out of warrantee by 4mths and couldn't help any further ? and was told if I want them to look new again I have to paint them myself ! These wheels are not made in America but made in China, hence the poor paint finish. My experience with Bob Jane and American racing wheels has not been a good one !
Your car is UNroadworthy
I dropped off the wifes car for a tyre rotation. They called and said the 2 fronts are bald and the car is not roadworthy. When picked up the car they said "not a good idea to drive it home".
No suggestion as to what tyres are on special, or even if they have tyres in stock, nothing. I drove the car straight to a competitors store and got 2 tyres fitted with a booking, no waiting! That is service!
Never responds to emails or online booking enquiries
I've been trying for ages to get a booking in to install some new wheels, multiple times i have sent them in with no one getting in contact with me back. Tried calling a couple stores but don't answer the phone, so i leave a message and then no response still, this is terrible
Good customer service - wont price match..
Excellent phone manner and service though lies about stock being unavailable to avoid price match. Stated their standard price was the same as the price match competitors though nothing in stock.. a load of rubbish.. standard price was $80.00 more than competitors. Wont bother calling them back again. Tyres fitted elsewhere, for $80 per tyre cheaper saving $320!!
Albury branch staff desperately need basic customer service training
The truth be told, unfortunately it was my experience on repeated occasions that the service (front desk) staff in the Albury store completely lacked any sense of basic customer service manners with customers. After a few visits, unfortunately I just got sick of it and voted with my feet. Additionally, I wasn't 100% convinced that the 'new' tyres fitted to my car, were actually 100% new. I guess that's one of the basic problems with any franchise model. i.e. some franchisee's care, and maybe some don't. Or, alternatively, Bob Jane is just not providing sufficient basic customer service training. In any case, if I want to be spoken to like a bogun down the pub, then I can just as easily have that experience for free.
I am not very happy with the service my daughter received at Bob jane Eltham.
Car was towed in with a nail in the tyre from RACV when driver was trying to explain the situation he looked over the tyres on the car in a way with judgement.
I called organised for replacement of two tyres tried paying over the phone no option, did a direct payment and then had to cancel this and do another one fast payment. Would not give her car back to proof of payment even thou I emailed confirmation. Then he did agree to give car back as she had an appointment....
bad practice for running business
I made a call to their Port Melbourne branch at 02/04 and booked a tyre service for my car at 04/04 1pm. When I arrived at the site, it's clearly been overbooked and the manager asked me to come back and pick up my car at 3pm.
I came back around 3:20pm and my car was still not ready, then I waited for another 15~20mins. Finally when I received my key, and to my surprise, they didn't do wheel alignment as I asked at the very beginning and this is the only reason I went there for a tyre service because I noticed the uneven wear out at my front t...
Coasting on the Brand's reputation
Purchased 2 new tyres which may have been put on correctly but "rotated" after 3 months. Other tyres at low but not minimum Bob Jane recommendations (1.8) vs (RAC: 2.5 ). Advised them of scary handling and steering issues with car. Not advised to consider replacing other tyres due to big tread discrepancy. Car seen by them , "wheel alignments"x 5 in 6/12, no advice or warning to consider replacing other tyres, (Tyres at front had been put nearly bald ones and newer ones at rear). Very unpleasant experience dealing with them. Dismissive and miso...gynist. Save yourself time and money, go somewhere else for tyres and reliable and expert trustworthy safe service. Very unpleasant dealing with complaints process too, rude and blame somebody else attitude. Eventually resolved with refund of wheel alignment costs and agreement to not carry dispute further. Did not agree not to write a review. NOT what BobJane T-Mart logo says.

Do you do after pay
Does Bob Jane have an official policy regarding the way wheel nuts must be tightened, or is this left to the discretion of each franchise or individual mechanics? In particular, are mechanics allowed to just use impact wrenches and estimate the required torque, or do they use torque limiting extensions (torque sticks), or do they do the final tightening by hand using a torque wrench?
Bob Jane T-Marts do have a procedure to correctly tension wheel nuts/studs. Please email email@example.com to discuss further.
I emailed firstname.lastname@example.org several days ago, but am still waiting on a reply. In the mean time I have done some more web searching, and I found one discussion on Whirlpool where someone mentioned that Bob Jane required the final tighten to be done with a torque wrench, with instant dismissal for anybody caught not complying. Unfortunately in the same thread someone else commented that if this were the case then that would mean the entire workshop staff would be gone at his local Bob Jane! See https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2757100#r57546014 for the thread. So maybe I need to know not only what the official policy is, but also whether or not the policy is actually followed!
I finally got a reply. Bob Jane does not have any official policy, but they do have an internal document that is used for training purposes. The reply didn't say what procedure they recommend in this document. So I still don't know either what procedure Bob Jane train their staff to use, or how widely their staff follow this procedure once they have completed their training, but I do at least know that a training document exists!
Since what really matters is what my local Bob Jane staff actually do my next step is probably to chase this up with my local franchise. Sorry to have wasted everyone's time here...
How old are the tyres you sell allowed to be?
We bought tyres in July 2019 they have now travelled 700km and we got knocked back on rego inspection today because they were manufactured in 2015 and the mechanic says they have cracks between the tread.
Manufacturers give a warranty of 5 years after manufacture date and we do not repair tyres over 8 years old. If you have recently bought the tyres as you said, please contact your local Bob Jane so we can inspect your tyres. If they are indeed faulty, we will make sure to get you back on the road safely and have the manufacturer pick up this tyre.
