VerifiedMy Bosch Zoo Vacuum Cleaner is not holding a charge and the manual tells me that the battery can only be replaced by a qualified Bosch service agent. I am in the Lake Macquarie area, NSW. Where is my nearest service agent? Greg at [Email Address Removed]
i'm just a customer like you !
I really like the vacuum but am very disappointed that the part where the hand joins it has cracked in the plastic. So I'm not able to use it. It's the first time I have spent so much on a vacuum.
Why is vacuum not holding charge it’s only 2 year old I have already had to replace head as brushes stopped turning now battery not holding charge
Hi Mel. My one is similar as the charge is holding less and less as time goes by and mine is less than 2 yrs old. After reading other reviews it seems this is a Common problem with these models ):
I am also having trouble keeping my Bosch Athlet battery charged. The machine is possibly only 2 years old.
Any suggestion. .
Any suggestions for replacement parts
Same as above, my Bosch ZOO is the same. It lasts not even one minute. Absolute rubbish. Having read all the similar issues above it is something Bosch musty know about as a dud part. Can you advise?
I called Bosch and they told me to replace the battery would be $500 and it's "infeasible" and to just buy a new vacuum, which is ridiculous. Dyson sell replacement batteries for $60-100 and in some cases out of warranty replace them for free. Shame on Bosch, disgusting anti-consumer practices. If they do not resolve this, I will be reporting it to Fair Trading and the ACCC
I purchased this vacuum 3 years ago and the battery dies within minutes... the amount I paid for this vacuum and for it to wear down so quickly is absolutely ridiculous.
Unfortunately, Bosch doesn't seem to want to help they are very quiet on battery replacement mine has done the same thing. The charge now only last about 3 minutes. I did a search on the internet and there is only one company that advertises the battery for it and they want $597 for it. I am sending in a complaint to consumer affairs and would suggest you do the same as my understanding of consumer law is they have to have spare parts available for at least 10 years and as this is still a current model they definitely should carry spares and as this is a lithium battery and does require renewing after at least 2 years we have every right to expect a replacement battery. I went back to my place of purchase and they couldn't or wouldn't help so they are off my shopping list as is bosch.
We've got 2 of them (the Zoo'o Pet Version) and have had the same experience. Will avoid all Bosch products in future. Consumer affairs couldn't care less.

Got my Athlete Bosch today but no manual - don't know if need to have vacuum cleaner on off or on 1 or 2 while trying to charge it?
Hi Bosch Home Appliance Representative,
We have had our BCH6ZOOAU/03 for 2 years, and now we can only use it on settings 1 or 2. The charge only lasts 1 minute on setting 3 and setting 2 doesn't provide enough suction to clean our rugs.
Cat fur gets stuck in the nozzle due to the lack of suction, and then it throws dust all over the floor. Put it to setting 3 and it stops almost straight away.
We had no problems when it was new, but now a broom would be better to clean the floor.
Can you please tell me how to rectify this?
Regards, David

Hi I purchased this vacuum for my elderly mother and it has hardly been used in the 3 years she has had it and now the batteries will not hold charge. It says it is charged and only last 1-2 minutes and then completely dead. Very disappointing to find out we cannot replace the batteries. Surely this should last longer than 3 years at the price we paid. Can you offer any assistance with this please?
