Bosch GL40 BSGL4223AU / BSGL4200AU

Love it – I have had this product for about four months and so far I'm very pleased. It's lightweight and manoeuvres easily around my small home. Great suction power and easily cleans my fluffy floor rugs. The cord retractor is a little temperamental but not really a major problem. The tools don't really fit well in the inboard compartment, but again not really a major problem. Small and powerful Cord retractor a bit temperamental

Does what it's supposed to – I've had this for about 18 months and it's been a reliable product. It looks and feels well built. I guess that's what I expect from Bosch and I'm happy to pay a premium for quality. It has adjustable suction or automatic sensing. I always use it on automatic and it's always worked great. I have wooden floors with rugs and I never have a problem with the rugs lifting off the floor. Decent length cord, although the cord retract is a bit tempremental (at least on mine). Also the "on-board" attachments keep falling off. I don't even keep them on board any more. Bags and filters are a bit pricey, but again are Bosch quality. I expect this vacuum cleaner to last for many years. German made, powerful motor, good suction Bags & filters aren't cheap and can be hard to find, "on board" attachments always fall off

OK – i'm sure other vacuum cleaners would be just as good and more economical to run with filters and bags easily accessible. light and good suction unable to purchase filters locally (sydney). postage expensive when purchasing over internet if you can find them, which makes the vacuum cleaner expensive to run. originally had trouble even purchasing bags but can get them now.
