for such a expensive product their customer service is horrible!
purchased WTW87565AU/05 a year ago. Noticed a whirring abnormal noise just over a year after purchase and called Bosch for a service. Been sent around in circles for the last 2 weeks. Got a SMS on the 31Jan 2020 saying someone will be in touch with me in 24-48 hours---THAT DID NOT HAPPEN and then I called back and got another message on the 3rd Feb2020 with the same SMS saying someone will be in touch with me in 24-48 hours and THAT AGAIN DID NOT HAPPEN. so I called the number on the SMS and was told this person is part of marketing and not su...re why bosch gave his number. You pay a premium price for this so called German products but such poor customer service. I have 3 Bosch products but if this is the service I get, I shall make sure I do not recommend Bosch to anyone.

Recurring problem with leaking
I have been happy with my Bosch condenser dryer for the two years it was in warranty, but now a few months after the warranty expired, water has been leaking out the bottom (onto the folding tray that is in-between the stacked washer and dryer). This happens regardless of whether there is water in the condensation unit (I regularly empty this). The technician first thought it may be the pump, but after replacement of that, the problem didn't go away. The outlet valve was then identified as the problem but a week and a half after replacing it, t...he water started leaking from the bottom again. Now I have to get the technician back again for more guess work which is inconvenient and expensive. I'm really unhappy that the problem returned - or actually that it occurred in the first place given how young the machine is and the fact that I spent more than average on Bosch appliances because of their perceived good quality and ability to last long. Only 6 months after purchasing the matching washer and dryer set, the sensor on the washing machine detergent door corroded and malfunctioned. I initially thought that was a "freak" thing but now with the latest dryer experience, I'm questioning the quality of all my Bosch items.
Purchased in May 2017.
Had this dryer about 18 months. Works ok on towel setting if you run it and leave it to finish drying in the machine. Cotton setting really doesnt work on mine. 3h and still wet. If you need to do continuious loads i use warm setting at 2h. Probably would not buy again. Have series 8 washer which is fantastic. Shame about the dryer.
Purchased in November 2017 for $2,000.00.

Happy with the drying capability but the design is flawed
I bought this dryer to match my front loader and I'm very happy with the heat pump choice and the drying capability. However, unlike my previous 3 dryers, there is something very wrong with the design of the drum interior. Sheets and doona covers constantly end up in a tight little ball that does not unravel or dry. Every 15 mins or so I have to pause the cycle, get out the sheet or doona cover, untangle it, unravel it and spread it out and put it back in to continue drying. This has to be done at least 3 times in every drying cycle. I do not have the same problem with clothing cycles.
The water catchment solution options are terrible.
The dryer is really good looking and works well if you keep your loads separated into like items. The only downfall - and it's a huge one from our perspective - is the way the condensed water is managed. Your two options are to empty the reservoir every load or so (it's often actually required during a load, and the dryer stops until you've done it, so if you're not there to attend to it immediately you're washing is not going to get dried for a long time, and not without hassle). That obviously sounds annoying, so we wanted to go with the seco...nd option - plumb it in. We have an inlet in our under-sink laundry plumbing which the tube fits right into, so we thought that would be easy and ideal. It would have been - if it had worked. Unfortunately it doesn't. Apparently you need to run the tube up vertically between 80-100cm from the outlet in the back of the dryer, and then down again into the drain/outlet to get a siphon effect (or raise the dryer up so that the drainage tube runs down with gravity). For whatever reason there are three different manuals for this exact model (the one that came with the dryer and two others found on the internet) - unfortunately the one that came with the dryer was the least informative, so several hours have been wasted on this, to no avail. We've had to piece together the solution (we haven't got it to work yet, so we could still be wrong) from the three manuals, and the Bosch customer service line was absolutely no help. Way too much faffing around for a $1500 appliance which should just work. Would absolutely not buy this dryer if we had known the plumbing in would be such a hassle (it was always our intent to plumb it in as the alternative option of manually emptying the tray repeatedly sounded way too irritating). Cannot understand how other people have gotten this to work so effortlessly, as it defies logic (why is there no PUMP for the waste water?) and is definitely not an easy-install.
Its alright. We use only for 2 people and not very often. My friend recently bought this too and he is pretty happy with it. No major issues noted. Wish it had some smart functions, like an app through wish functions couldbe controlled. If this happens then it will be a little popular

Good dryer with useful selection of programs. only complaint with delivery/installation. after purchase through david jones, the machine was delivered and installed by bosch. delivery was prompt and i was keen to test it out. only after doing a load of laundry did i notice it was incorrectly installed by the company, with the condenser discharge hose not being connected to the sink, leaving the water to run on the back of the machine and over the new mashing machine below. contacting customer service didnt help as a service fee would be charged as they do not cover the incompetence of their own installers....
DISAPPOINTED IN PERFORMANCE
So far I am a tad underwhelmed with the performance, have tried a few of the settings and have been disappointed to find the unit turned itself off long before the time allotted and the clothes are still damp, not just feel damp but are actually damp enough to need hanging up to finish drying. I don't think I should have to keep checking if the dryer has stopped. I guess it may take a little time and practice but so far I wonder wether it was a good purchase!!!!

Why When placing a very small load of socks, underwear doesn’t go through a complete cycle no matter what cycle selected and not dried

I have a seri 8 condensed dryer and I can’t work out what setting is good for drying sheets. They always just end up in a ball wet in the middle????
This is what I use for everything .. (I got a tip from someone). Initially I thought drier was faulty but alas nope! Nothing can be dried in any hurry even if you want to choose it to be.
Timed Program warm. Turn off “easy iron”!
Needs 1’20” or more depending size of sheets. But you’ve got to be on attention and keep unballing the sheets as the drier only spins one way. Seems unpredictable when - and if - it’s going to get hot, usually near the very end.
Good luck, JJJ
