Bosch is supposed to have a good reputation
Unless you have a dryer, don't buy this model.
Regardless of which program I use, all loads of washing end up smelling moldy. Every load, every time.
I don't see the advantage of the active oxygen feature, which basically just sprays mist into the cycle.
This particular model has a soap sud sensor, so if you put too much soap in, the machine automatically detects it & washes all the soap out. Your clothes then end up smelling like moldy sox.
I bought this machine after my last one died. Never had a problem like this with the last one.
Big Mistake! So rough on clothes...
UPDATE - we now have an E23 error with water leaking from the bottom of the machine. I also just noticed another user with the same problem and now the machine has been discontinued... Must have been a lemon model as I've been happy with Bosch in the past - well I hope so! I've logged a service call and they can't come out for a week! This is going to be interesting with a family of 4! This machine has been a huge inconvenience right from the start...
This machine is so rough on clothes. No matter how gentle a cycle I do, clothes come out ...battered, twisted and soooo creased. I didn't need to iron with my last machine - my clothes look so worn and creased after using this machine for 6 weeks. Huge mistake in choosing this product. Should've gone with Miele! I emailed Bosch to find out if this is abnormal for this machine - despite using a low spin cycle. They replied by asking me to call the customer care line for tips on how to use the machine - really?

Broken after 14 months
E23 error. Can't open the door with wet clothes stuck within it. Called Bosch service. Earliest service available 5 days later! Doesn't know if it can be opened manually even though model number given. Poor backup service.

Questions & Answers
About a month ago we purchased this machine, it works wonderfully! The loads are generally washed on either mix at 40 C or cottons at 50 C.
After the last wash the drum clean light flashed. How many wash cycles should there normally be between running the drum clean cycle, as it hasn't been heavily used? Drum clean was run before first use.
Does the detergent used affect this?
Bosch H.Bosch Home Appliances
Hi MickyB A.,
Thank you for your question. The Drum Clean indicator light will flash if you have not
used a programme at 60 °C or higher for some time. We recommend you run the programme (without laundry).
Use standard washing powder or a detergent containing bleach. To prevent foaming, only use half the amount of
detergent recommended by the detergent manufacturer. Do not use detergents intended for woollens or delicates.
If you have any issues please do not hesitate to contact our team on 1300 369 744. Kind regards Bosch Home Australia
