The electronics on my 9 year old SMEG gave up the ghost and it is against this which I am comparing. I chose the Series 6 because I wanted a mid range model that was still made in Germany. I have many Bosch appliances from drills to washing machines to gardening equipment and have never been disappointed. However, I am disappointed with the design of this dishwasher when compared to the Smeg in terms of the baskets.
This 60cm model has 15 place settings compared to 14 with my Smeg, but it is not usable space. Although there are 3 trays, I wond...er about the need for a dedicated utensil drawer. I certainly don't have nearly 100 pieces of cutlery and the height clearance from the roof of the machine means that I can't slot in bigger utensils like spatulas. They have to lie horizontally. Further, slots on the dedicated cutlery/utensil holder in the bottom drawer are too small to comfortably slot forks or dining spoons, I can only manage teaspoons and dessert forks. In terms of plates, the prongs are spaced too far apart for smaller plates or too closely for bigger plates and bowls. Further, when I slot in my cereal bowls and big soup bowls, they 'lie' and a 60 degree angle, which means a lot of wasted space if you want to avoid shadowing. I have no idea how to slot in a roasting tin, if I lowered all the prongs, it would simply fall over. The mesh on the lowermost basket is also too wide so my smaller tea cups fall through! The only plus is that you can raise and lower some prongs and even raise and lower the entire basket but it doesn't make the space more useable. In comparison, my Smeg's baskets weren't adjustable but the prongs held my plates etc at a more upright angle and were sufficiently widely spaced to comfortably slot in (and intersperse!) big plates, small plates, cereal bowls, and even roasting tins. The only plus is that the machine is indeed whisper quiet, I don't even know it's on! However, the standard programs run longer (between 1hr 40 mins to 3 hours) than my Smeg (up to 2 hours) and cooler (65 degrees I think). There are special programs like quick wash of 30 minutes but as expected, they are for lightly soiled dishes. Other than the baskets which are my major bugbear, I have no complaints about its ease of use and cleaning effectiveness.

Lovely and quiet initially and flexible space
Good worker this one. Really like that can alter the height of the middle pull out. initially was whisper quiet. Not quite so much a few months on, but still not nearly as noisy as our last one.
Does need a good clean regularly and find that plastic boxes often flip over - even when we try and position them under the glass holders hoping to keep them in place.
Drying is good much of the time, and we think we have now found the best setting for us to get the balance between cycle time and drying ability!

No problem so far
Satisfied with this Bosch dishwasher. I like the extra dry feature and all the different programs. Usually ended up with clean and dry dishes.
We do scrape dishes before putting into dishwasher. When we didn't do a clean scrape job, there would usually be dirty spots after the dishwasher finishes its cycle.
Guess we have been a bit careful so it has not clogged so far. Daily use for 8 months now and we haven't cleaned it once.

Super Silent Bosch dishwasher
Very happy with the quietness and water efficiency of this model Bosch dishwasher. We always rinse dishes beforehand and by doing this have not had any clogging or maintenance issues. Stacking of cutlery can be a bit time consuming but washes well. Overall happy with this product

Very Good .
Has a speedy cycle for light soiled dishes. Quiet,
I use the cleaning rinse every few months. Easy to move shelves. Our previous washer had a door which was very long and a trip hazard this is a bit higher set and Great

Can't beat Bosch
I've used dishwashers from Smeg and Miele and compared to them Bosch is much quieter and cleans better than Smeg and certainly more affordable than Miele. Most of all, I like the VarioDrawer, very handy for loading cutlery and any other small items and I can be assured they are really cleaned thoroughly. For value for money, I'd recommend this product.

When I switch my dishwasher on it is flashing 1hr 30min. It will work on that cycle, but I cannot get any other buttons to work, so I cannot change cycles or do anything. I have held the start button for 10 sec, switched off & unplugged the machine but still cannot change anything. Can you help me please?

Can this dishwasher be connected to a hot water supply?
And does it have the A:00 program? Could not find it.
I've just been on the phone to Bosch and they couldn't tell me, but the Applicances Online website does state this is Cold Water intake only.
