Cannot get display light to show time light - have followed manual p25 many times. Any help?

Regards, Bosch Home Australia.hi julie my manual must be different to yours as page 25 in my manual is not for the display, i would try a reset of your machine by turning of at the power switch and remove plug from the gpo for 5 b/10 minutes then replace plug and turn power back on . this worked for my washer when i could not change wash programmes ,it locked up on one programme .
Hi can I connect the sms68m32au model to the hot water inlet connection. Or does it always have to be connected to the cold water connection?

Regards, Bosch Home Australia.Page 36 of the instruction manual informs you that this dishwasher is for cold water connection only, also this same answer applies to most bosch dishwashers, they are designed to heat the water to the desired water temperature depending on dishwashing cycle selected.
Hi can you please tell me if there is a difference between the Bosch free standing dishwasher SMS68M38AU and the freestanding SMS68M48AU ? I am in Harvey Norman looking at the latter and they say it is a discontinued model and only selling the last floor stock one. I can search the ones ending in 38 online but I don't find anything much ending in 48. Also,is it meant to have a cutlery basket as its basket is missing. Is this machine any good? Quick reply would be appreciated as need to go in tomorrow and choose between the SMS68M48AU or a built under one with a number SMU50M15AU.
Sorry if my answer is late, but it seems that the only difference is that model that I've got is an extra cutlery drawer and it looks like it is more silent than that other model. Also it appears that model 38 (one I got) has extra spray head for big pots and pans and has implemented newer and smarter water level and pressure control for better cleaning. Yes. No problems. Have done this a few times & the program resumes from when you close the door.Yes you can. It pauses the wash cycle. :)

Hello, Could you please tell me if typically if a brand new dishwasher bought from a store would have water coming out of it? I noticed that upon taking the SMS68M38AU out of our station wagon after purchasing it this afternoon, water was coming out of the bottom of it. Now that I have unwrapped the plastic that surrounded it and have opened the door and there is fresh water splatter inside my brand new dishwasher?!!! There is also water sitting inside the bottom of the filter trap. Could you please tell me if this is typical when purchasing a Bosch dishwasher, (from testing or whatever) or have I just bought myself a secondhand one from a retailer that has been dishonest and sold me a reconditioned/secondhand dishwasher. Very much looking forward to hearing from you soon. -Theresa

Hi I was told when I bought this that it accepted water up to 60 degrees C. The generic instruction manual says if you select warm water intake, this should be programmed into by selecting the "A" setting. I have found my SMS68M38AU does not have the "A" option. Only "d","r"and "P". Is everybody wrong about this model being suitable for warm water, or are the instructions incorrect?
The instruction manual is correct. The steps describe holding down button "A". The "A" refers to the relevant button in the control panel diagram in the front of the manual. there is no program "A". Hope this helps.I think you misunderstand me and have only addressed one part of my question. Let me quote my manual (page 34 "Warm water connection) "5. Press programme button A until the factory set value A:00 is indicated on the digital display 10". I was referring to the fact that A:00 does not appear on my display. Is this model designed to take warm water and if so how?
re: SMS68M38AU/B3 Bosch Dishwasher. Page 11 Setting amount of rinse aid: I am able to perform steps 1-4; however, I don't obtain the result that the instruction manual states for number 5, where it states "Press programme button A until the factory set value r:05 is indicated on the digital display (10)" In performing this instruction, the dishwasher does not change the 'r' numbers, but shows d:00; r:oo, P:01 on the display and repeats these numbers. It wasn't until I read the next paragraph "To change the setting" that it states to press "C". After spending a large amount of time on step 5 without success, I went ahead with the next section, before solving the problem. This was very confusing....as you don't usually jump ahead to the next instruction, until you master the steps in chronological order. Have I missed doing something, or have I performed some operation earlier that altered the results at step 5? Thanks Glenys
Hi Glenys, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch SMS68M38AU Dishwasher. You're on the right track, the d:00, r:00 and P:01 are different settings, so when you get to the r:00 (r for rinseaid) then refer to the "to change the setting" section of the manual which will instruct you on how to change from r:00 - r:05. r:01 dispenses one ml per cycle, r:02 dispenses 2ml and so on. Hi, Does the SMS68M32AU have an interior light? Tried changing the setting as the manual said but no interior light. Machine is new Thanks Liz
Hey Liz, I cannot answer your question with certainty. However I believe the only difference between the SMS68M32AU that you asked about and the SMS68M38AU which we have is the exterior finish. Yours is white enamel; ours is stainless. Ours does not have an interior light. I do remember looking at a similar machine that had an interior light however I do not recall its model number. The manual seems to be written for several different models.Thanks for your reply. Spent ages trying to work it out. Instructions were for the next model up as well, so was a bit confusing. Probably a power saving thing. Can manage without the light. Was just worried there was something wrong. Have set it so the power goes off after one minute. The serial number is unique to each appliance. It can be found on a sticker on the door of your dishwasher. You will see the ENR/Model number, then an FD number and the serial number will be after this. how long of extension hose can you connect to the dishwasher before it affects the pumping out waste water ?

I have a Bosh SMU68M05AU with an error code of E:9, which I believe is that the heater does not work. Where do I find someone to fix it?
Hi Krissie, I would ring who you bought it off and they would tell you the next step, or you could ring Bosch Service Dept. I have never had this problem, in fact I have never (touch wood) had a problem. Turn off water and power and make sure the hoses are not bent also might help, I know if the hoses have any kink it will show problems as the water can not run either way freely. Hi there, I am in the hunt for a new dishwasher and have been considering the SMS68M32AU. I have been reading many reviews some good some bad. It appears that there is an issue with the pump not being strong enough to pump the waste water out effectively causing an error code, this appears to be one of the main complaint with customers. As some of these reviews are old I was wondering if this problem had been fixed, before I make my decision. Thank Rob
