Really happy with this item apart from a few small things
A nice shape that is comfortable to pick up and move around. May be a little heavy for people with arthritis. Irons smoothly, I've had it for about a year now and the plate is still nice and clean.
The steam is strong, but you have to make sure you've got the right steam setting for the heat chosen or it will leak while ironing. Good range of light heat to strong heat settings - although it took me a while to finally find the ironing heat guide on the bottom of the iron! A copy of this in the manual would be good.
The water cup provided is t...oo small to be of any use, I'm not going to refill it a dozen times to fill up the iron once when I can use a large water jug instead. Either make the cup bigger or ditch it, it's now just a bit of plastic rubbish for me. Also a bit stupid that although the iron can only be filled from the horizontal position, the water fill measuring lines (including the one you're not supposed to go above) are only accurate when the iron is in the vertical position. So you add some water, turn the iron back up to measure, turn it back down to fill, turn it back up to measure etc :(. Using the heat and steam levels correctly, the iron works perfectly on delicates and polyesters.
Purchased in July 2018 at Myer.
heats up quick
It makes my shirt looks beautiful. Also its easier to use though it has so many functions. It's temperature control is very exact. It doesn't leak. The cord doesn't get in the way due to it's design. It is very light and easy to use and cleaning it is a breeze with some steel wool.
Nice weight, not too heavy or light. Good non stick plate. Good steam options. Big steam tank and water cup. Self clean option works well. Haven’t burned anything yet. Good on delicate clothes and also on husbands business shirts. Quality iron, I’d have no hesitation recommending one. I waited for a sale at Myer and got a good price.
Super super steam is fantastic
The super super steam is fantastic at getting out really hard creases in cloths as a mechanic my cloths get very messy and this dose a great job. Watch out it heats up within seconds and burnt my finger almost but apart from that it's great if you need it done fast.
Quick to heat approx 60 seconds.
Safe to use on most fabrics.reliable and accurate temperature control
Makes ironing a breeze...and almost enjoyable for those that hate ironing.
Easy to use, cuts through a pile of laundry like a hot knife thru butter great for beginners, and men lol.
Spoil her with one of these...shes worth it

Good quality at a great price
Heats up quickly with a good shot of steam. It holds a decent amount of water for steam so there is no need to refill too frequently. It has a long cord and is well priced. It has a good sized plate and is not too heavy. Overall highly recommend.
Does what it says ! Amazing product - I bought a suit and some shirts recently and purchased the Br

Makes ironing shirts so much faster
heats up quickly and makes ironing shirts so much easier and quicker. creases come out mostly with one go! did have an issue with the first one tripping our fuse but got an easy exchange with myer and no issues since. also got the textile protector to use with more delicate fabric which is a useful add on.
This is a good iron
I like this product. Its very good. I can easily iron my clothes. I think the size is portable. So i can travel by taking it with me. The temperature control is accurate and quickly heats up. So i dont need to wait too long. The price however could have been cheaper.
Very good and easy to use
This iron has been perfect for me. I have 3 kids in school so I do a lot of ironing and this is the best iron I have used so far. It heats up instantly and has a host of settings and other functions that many other irons I have used in the past don't have.
Seamstress' best friend
This iron is an excellent upgrade my leaky old iron. It's temp control is very exact. It doesn't leak. The cord doesn't get in the way due to it's design. The additional protector plate is great for ironing delicate fabrics. This iron works well for pressing seams during sowing. Sticky residue from iron on interfacing is easy to remove from the non stick plate.
This iron heats up very quickly but I have managed to burn a few items as the temperature can be too hot on certain fabrics. I accidently knocked it off the ironing board onto tiles and it is still in one piece and works fine. It is very light and easy to use and cleaning it is a breeze with some steel wool.
Very happy with my first Braun purchase
I finally decided to change brands after my last three irons being Philips Azure series. I decided on Braun as the reviews for this particular iron were overwhelmingly positive and the iron was the right price. So far I am very happy. The Iron is lighter than my Philips (and Iron does not need to be heavy, the steam and heat do the work). The Braun I would say heats up faster, is lighter, holds more water and the temperature and controls are simple and adequate. It has the essentials like de-calc and auto shut-off. It has adequate steam to quic...kly Iron the wrinkles from a linen shirt and seems to be a lot more efficient with water compared to my Philips. The soleplate is like stainless steel (although they call it something else) which I didn't realise when I bought it but it glides as easily as the fancy ceramic coating on the Philips. The cord is long enough and my only improvement would be the cord attachment was a bit stiff and prevented the iron from sitting up nice and sturdy on the board. It has loosens up a bit and really not a problem but could be improved. The asthetics and ergonimics could be a bit better but still a 4 out of 5 for me. After research I would only really consider a Tefal, Braun or Phillips. I have tried a Tefal before and it was too heavy. I think the ergnomics on the Phillips Azure is the best
I used to have a sunbeam iron previously which started leaking water and clogging up before I decided to spend some money and get a quality iron.
I've had this iron for approximately 8 months.
- heats up quickly
- generates a lot of steam!! this definitely cuts down the ironing time and makes wrinkles a thing of the past
- the anti-calc feature is useful and to-date I haven't had any clogging after 8 months
- the iron glides really well over clothes and requires minimal effort
- has a safety off feature (I've forgotten to turn off the iron a few times) ...
After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this iron instead of Tefal. So glad that I have purchased it- the best iron. So easy to use, quick heat up, no water leakes. Settings are accurate.
Very quick to iron business shirts with no sprays of starch. Its light and glides easily the cord is long.
Didn't need to refill for a long time great water capacity.
Questions & Answers
does this model Braun TS 725A have an auto cut off?
This iron does have an automatic shut off. It shuts off after about 30 seconds if left resting on its sole plate and after about 8 minutes if left upright/vertically on its heel rest. So, if you’re distracted and walk away, it shouldn’t burn the house down. The auto shut off mechanism makes a bit of a rattling sound during ironing, is activated a couple of minutes after its plugged in and turned on, and there’s a light which flashes above where the cord is connected when the auto shut off is in action.
