My poor cat is losing hair in clumps!
Went with this brand as recommended by vets and it’s horrible! We assumed he’d gotten into some sort of fight or something but then we put two and two together and realised it’s the treatment! Never again I hope the vet can give me something to counteract it

Four cats treated - one cat has bald spot on top of head where product was applied. Watching other three, noticed oil spot still lingers on one kitty.
Vet recommended after taking all four kitties for annual check-up. I mentioned another product wasn't effective and asked for "best" recommendation, voila everyone received treatment given at vet's office on top of their heads. That was Saturday, today's Thursday and when I noticed adverse reaction to one kitty as mentioned above. Full on bald spot!
Paws crossed everyone will be okay! I'll be informing vet and WILL NOT take anymore chances with any additional applications.
Update: a total of 3 cats ended up with bald spots. More than a coincidence I'd say!

DO NOT USE!!!!!!
We have two cats, one male, who is 17 years old and a female who is approximately 14 years old. They have never been on Bravecto before. I have always used Frontline in the past. All I have to say is it nearly killed our 17 year old male cat. He was vomiting profusely, was as weak as a day old kitten, had uncontrollable bowel movements, and was affected neurologically as well; he was walking off kilter and his tail was quivering like a rattlesnake's tail. It was very bizarre. He acted confused and would not eat which has never happened bef...ore as he is canned food crazy. After experiencing all this, my poor cat crawled in the closet and hid like he was preparing himself to die. We were very concerned so I started looking online for the side effects of Bravecto. The first thing I saw was a class action lawsuit against the company for not advising of the serious possibly life-threatening side effects in dogs, as Bravecto for dogs has apparently caused many deaths. We had to call our vet that night because we thought for sure we were losing our boy and were going to have to take him to put him to sleep, or he was just going to die in the closetthat night. The vet advised us to take some Dawn dish soap and water and sponge down the application area on both cats as much as we could to get the Bravecto off of their skin. I think that is the only thing that saved our male cat's life. The next day he gradually got better and seems to be somewhat back to his old self. However, at the application site he is losing his hair. There is a strip of a bald spot there but the vet advised it will grow back. Our female cat is also losing her hair at the application site. This stuff is a neuro toxic and poison!! Think about it, this poison stays in their blood for 3 months! I will NEVER use Bravecto again for my cats or my dog and my advice to anyone and everyone with a cat or dog family member is don't even think about giving it to your animals!!!

Do vets have vested interests?
One of my cats has flea allergy dermatitis for which this product is unsuitable (the flea needs to bite in order for it to die.) Flea bites cause the allergy. This product doesn't kill fleas for three months. I wonder if vets get a kickback to promote this product?

Adverse reaction. Be very cautious
Like many other poor reviews here, my otherwise healthy 2 year old cat had a bad reaction to Bravecto. He was given the correct dose by the vet but less than 24 hours later was found slumped on the floor and unable to use his hind legs much at all. Went back to the vet and bravecto was suspected as the cause. He recovered, largely because he's young and healthy. The lingering effects a week later are some lethargy and drinking more than usual. He was lucky, but I'd never touch this stuff again. ever! It's a neurotoxin & pesticide, regardless of how small the dose.

Great experience, but wary of re-use from other reviews
My experience was excellent. I struggled with fleas for years, switching brands to try to find something to knock them on the head. I was using frontline and Advantage? and could only get rid of the fleas for a couple of weeks tops and thought it was useless due to neighbouring cats and dogs that i had no control over possibly reinfesting my cats, or them just picking them back up from the dirt in the yard etc.
I decided to give Bravecto a go and BOOM! No more fleas. The cats had no noticeable adverse reaction. Usually they freak out about hav...ing the flea treatment on their back/neck as i think the usual ones are alcohol based and oily and may feel cold due to evaporation, but this time with Bravecto, they acted like they usually do, until i had applied it and released them, then they just settled right down and seemed to act like i'd not done anything to them, they were completely calm and happy as the product is just like water and i was not sure it would do much due to it's weak appearance. It's been almost a year now and i keep inspecting them regularly thinking surely they are back by now, but nothing! I'm amazed! I was worried by reviews i read after i'd used it as my cats are small compared to the average and i'm concerned it would be more potent to them. Now i'm weary to reuse it as it's obviously potent in keeping the fleas away for so long, but at the same time i do not want to go back to battling with fleas like i was. I'll keep holding out until fleas come back and then i'll probably use it again and keep my fingers crossed. They need to make a subtler version perhaps that is kinder to the animal whilst still killing off the fleas. I'm torn about the benefits and the possible harm to my beloved animals.

Not sure if working
I adopted my kitten at 8 weeks old. Took him to the vet a few days later for a check up as he needed his anal glands expressed and we also noticed some scratching. Vet found a flea on him. He administered this treatment and applied it in about 5 different spots at the back of his skull. No adverse reactions, kitty has been fine. Took a few days for the matted hair to resolve, this didnt bother me though. HOWEVER, one week after treatment my kitten has begun scratching again, in the same spot near the back of his left ear. I've tried to inspect him, but have not found anything active on his skin or fur...not sure what this is about.

No adverse reaction thankfully, but this product is absolutely useless against ticks. Both cats treated are still getting ticks attached to them. Will not be buying again, absolute waste of money!!

Would recommend/would use again/worked for us (STUPID dispenser though!)
We have 2 x new kittens (burmese now 1.8 & 1.9kg) and were using Advocate puppy and kitten from 10 weeks from the moment we brought them home. Had fleas constantly so got sick of it and used Advocate weekly instead of monthly - still more fleas. Then got sick of Advocate not working and tried Bravecto for the babies and this is what happened;
Treated them at 2pm and they scratched and scratched and scratched until I went to bed at 11pm (seriously - the scratching of fleas was vicious). Fleas were all over them (like 30 minimum on each)- fleas...

Bravecto PLUS Flea,Tick and worm
1hr post application my cat began foaming at the mouth and vomiting. Has not stopped. Vet states he may have ‘licked’ some.
I have poisoned my beloved cat and the vet felt it was safe to sell because it’s ‘approved by Australian Standards’.
May need revising.
This is TOXIC
Any product that causes such a reaction CANNOT be good.
