No good in the wet !
These are becoming very dangerous as they wear down. A simple slow speed at a round a bout is causing the front wheels to under steer. Zero traction what so ever in the wet, even at very slow speeds. Drives ok in the dry and solid off road. Bit noisy but expected. The wet weather on a 50% tread is worrying...

Worn out at 30,000km
30,000km and worn out, so not wearing any better than 2wd road tyres under the same conditions. Have been good for punctures on gravel roads. Ok for noise but seriously, they should handle at least 40,000km.
Purchased in November 2019.

Would never buy these again
had these on my 2016 pajero when bought my car thought we would replace them with the same tyres worst decision we made, worst milage for tyres not even 20,000 kms and completely worn and are dangerous in wet conditions, i live rural and travel gravel roads and they have terrible traction would never buy them again are now replacing with a better quality tyre!

Good but Dangerous on wet roads..
Have always used Bridgestone on various vehicles the last 20 odd years having tried other and cheaper brands found me back to Bridgestone for the safety and longevity. I currently have these tyres on a Rav4 for mainly commuting and some light off road dirt track use. Plenty of tread. The side walls sit nice and do not slump or sag. After 7 months of use they still look new with no abnormal wearing or tearing on edges from cornering. They handle well in the dry, when cornering and on dirt tracks. They pull up quickly on dry bitumen roads howeve...Read more
r they loose traction very easily on wet bitumen when braking. Any emergency moderate to excessive braking and the tyres quickly loose grip and slide and fail to regrip. In the rain I now drive over cautiously leaving huge space from the vehicle in front. I recommend if you have or buy these tyres you try a wet road emergency stop test. I will see theses tyres out but will no longer buy or can recommend Bridgestone tyres as safety is my main priority.Purchased in October 2019 at Bridgestone Select for A$600.00.

Not so impressive
If you want to do any sort of real off-road driving I wouldn't recommend these tyres. Also pretty terrible in wet weather, very slippery. If you want a road tyre that still performs on the beach, these are the tyres for you, anyone else should avoid them. They are also a very noisy tyre considering they aren't an aggressive pattern.

Good mileage that’s all
Had these on the Ute from new had to be replaced at 5000 km as they were out of round causing horrible vibration through vehicle. Noisy but good mileage overall only reason for 2 .stars

Price is good, product hopeless.
I purchased my set of 5 tyres 11000 km ago. They have been rotated once in this time. I have been on road the whole time until yesterday. First time offroad tore a sidewall out of one tyre on a stick, replaced it with the spare. Got home ok but this morning anorher tyre dead flat on the car. I bought these based on the false claims made in there current add. Never again!

Second set but not happy
My first set of tyres were very good and I put 70,000 kms on them with probably 5000 kms left, I towed my 2000 kg caravan 30,000 kms and no problems, even when the tread was get low they felt pretty safe on wet bitumen. I didn't hesitate to buy another full set of 5 tyres in preparation for a trip to the Flinders Rangers, the new set preformed well on and off road, when the tyre reached about 35,000 kms I noticed the tyres had lost there grip on wet bitumen, I have preserved with them and now the tyres have 68,000 kms and probably still 15,000...Read more
kms left on them ( 10,000 km 5 tyre rotation) they have become deadly in the wet. Bridgestone always set my tyre pressure to 40 psi for every day driving, I have lowered the pressure to 35 psi to see if that would help with traction but no it hasn't helped, the tyres are so scary in the wet I'm getting rid of them and changing brands. I honestly wouldn't recommend these tyres because I consider them outright dangerous after some wear. Going to give Toyo AT 2 ago. Bridgestone has lost my business.Purchased in May 2016 for A$1,050.00.

Wouldn't buy again.
I have had these tyres for about 4 years, I guess they have only done about 40 - 50,000 K's, but they are very disappointing. I started to hear noises coming from the wheels which I thought were wheel bearings, as my car is nearly 20 years old. I have a RAV4, never taken off the bitumen and is maintained within an inch of its life. Since new I have had these tyres rotated and balanced every 5000 K's and ensure correct pressures are running. So back to the noise. This whirring noise kept getting worse, and so my mechanic told me that all the tyr...Read more
es are scalloping and this was common with Bridgestone off road tyres. Ok, well there is heaps of tread left so I went back to Costco where I bought the tyres from and luckily or unluckily the Bridgestone rep was there on the day. He rubbed his hand over the tyres, he said their showing signs on the outside of solar deterioration and suggested that they are not that bad, and suggested another cross rotation to even out the wear. He informed me that these tyres were within the 5 years warranty period, but wasn't interested in honouring that. I told him what my mechanic said about Bridgestone's scalloping, which he dismissed out of hand (of course he would) and said the mechanic was only trying to sell me new tyres. Tyres rotated, still noisy, so no more Bridgestones for me thanks. If they won't help their customers with genuine issues, I won't buy anymore of their tyres.Similar opinion? absolute rubbish
I got told these tyres were great. what a huge dissapointment. only bonus was the grip. had them rotated and balanced and alignment every 5000 klms. sadly they barely reached 40000 klms on bitumen, considering they say you will get 80000 klms , what a load of rubbish. I have gone back to the bfg"s ko2"s

Lethal in the wet
After a year or so the 697s compound hardened and lost grip on bitumen under dew, light or heavy rain regardless of front or rear wheels, light or heavy load. 40klm 4 wheel skids, loss of directional control on roundabouts at low speed. I replaced them with 70% remaining tread.

Soft comfy and grips really well BUT...
As it wears down it is NOISY AS HELL! if we talk about grips in wet and dry it is pretty good. Very soft rubber makes the ride more comfy too.
But he noise it generates as it wears down is down right HORRIBLE!!!

Noise unbearable and worrying
I am so glad to have read the review above, with regard to the noise. The noise has been driving me mad also. I have gone through the same thoughts and actions as the reviewer on 7 January 2015. My anxiety levels whilst on a long trip, without support during towns, was very worrisome. Though I only need two new tyres, I will change all now (to a new brand), just to relieve the anxiety associated with the noise.

terrible wear
I have done 35000 kms will be lucky to get 45000 out of them. Not to bad offroad but for the price I expect more k's. My old man had the same problem new tyres after about 48000.
I had the previous a/t's and they were great, this new model have been huge disappointment, won't be buying again. And yes I always had them rotated and balance with wheel alignment.
not to bad off road.
wear way to fast for the price.
