Bridgestone Dueler A/T 697
Good value
Purchased 4 in Darwin for my Fortuner before travelling the Gibb and going to Mitchell Falls. No problem at all. Since travelled from aPerth to the east a couple of times including Kakadu and Alice Springs. Travelled 90000km and not even a puncture. Could be better in the wet. Due for replacement soon and will buy them again.
Purchased in for $320.

Would never buy these again
had these on my 2016 pajero when bought my car thought we would replace them with the same tyres worst decision we made, worst milage for tyres not even 20,000 kms and completely worn and are dangerous in wet conditions, i live rural and travel gravel roads and they have terrible traction would never buy them again are now replacing with a better quality tyre!

Good but Dangerous on wet roads..
Have always used Bridgestone on various vehicles the last 20 odd years having tried other and cheaper brands found me back to Bridgestone for the safety and longevity. I currently have these tyres on a Rav4 for mainly commuting and some light off road dirt track use. Plenty of tread. The side walls sit nice and do not slump or sag. After 7 months of use they still look new with no abnormal wearing or tearing on edges from cornering. They handle well in the dry, when cornering and on dirt tracks. They pull up quickly on dry bitumen roads howeve...
Read morer they loose traction very easily on wet bitumen when braking. Any emergency moderate to excessive braking and the tyres quickly loose grip and slide and fail to regrip. In the rain I now drive over cautiously leaving huge space from the vehicle in front. I recommend if you have or buy these tyres you try a wet road emergency stop test. I will see theses tyres out but will no longer buy or can recommend Bridgestone tyres as safety is my main priority.Purchased in at Bridgestone Select for $600.

Had these on the Ute from new had to be replaced at 5000 km as they were out of round causing horrible vibration through vehicle. Noisy but good mileage overall only reason for 2 .stars

Price is good, product hopeless.
I purchased my set of 5 tyres 11000 km ago. They have been rotated once in this time. I have been on road the whole time until yesterday. First time offroad tore a sidewall out of one tyre on a stick, replaced it with the spare. Got home ok but this morning anorher tyre dead flat on the car. I bought these based on the false claims made in there current add. Never again!

Second set but not happy
My first set of tyres were very good and I put 70,000 kms on them with probably 5000 kms left, I towed my 2000 kg caravan 30,000 kms and no problems, even when the tread was get low they felt pretty safe on wet bitumen. I didn't hesitate to buy another full set of 5 tyres in preparation for a trip to the Flinders Rangers, the new set preformed well on and off road, when the tyre reached about 35,000 kms I noticed the tyres had lost there grip on wet bitumen, I have preserved with them and now the tyres have 68,000 kms and probably still 15,000...
Read more kms left on them ( 10,000 km 5 tyre rotation) they have become deadly in the wet. Bridgestone always set my tyre pressure to 40 psi for every day driving, I have lowered the pressure to 35 psi to see if that would help with traction but no it hasn't helped, the tyres are so scary in the wet I'm getting rid of them and changing brands. I honestly wouldn't recommend these tyres because I consider them outright dangerous after some wear. Going to give Toyo AT 2 ago. Bridgestone has lost my business.Purchased in for $1,050.

Questions & Answers
Looking to put these tyres on my 2007 RAV4 for 50 on/50 off road driving. Has anyone had good/bad experiences with these tyres on a RAV?
How will know that I have bought the right tyres
They will have Bridgestone Dueler A/T written on the side wall of the tyre. I bought them from Bridgestone Select in a buy 3 get the 4th one free deal. Not sure whether other dealers like Bob Jane, Beaurepaires etc would have this tyre or deal.
So many tyre choices out there you just have to find one at your price point and take a bit of a guess. At the end of the day a tyre is a tyre and they all do a similar job. If you never go off road t...
