Would not recommend this printer! If you use it to scan colour than this is not for you. Doesn't pick up the colours very well and leaves you with a low quality scan no matter what DPI you use. It's so time consuming to use and has added way to many unnecessary steps. Nothing flows nicely. SO DISAPPOINTED.
Purchased in June 2019 for $300.00.
Worked fine for 6 months then clogged now I can't really print colour
Worked fine for 6 months, then it slowly printed worse qualityand despite doing all the appropriate cleans I can't get it to print colour without lines and grainy looking. Not good for a $350 printer.
Loved the A3 capacity and ADF although can't scan it photocopy both sides throughthe ADF must usethe bed which is VERY time consuming!
Upgradingto a laser.
Great Printer - if you are happy to pay $1/sheet of partially coloured paper.
The printer is great to use but I don't use it as the cartridges are deliberately firmware coded to be not refillable and so stop working even if they are still partially full. Even the so called "up to 1000 sheet" cartridges run out way before this time. So far I have spent $250 on ink and $5 on paper (one ream).

New Brother Printer working a treat
This is the first Brother Printer I have ever purchased, so far its working great. Quality of photos printed are okay but slightly grainy so I'll need to try another paper to see how it goes. Scanning to the computer is easy, haven't used the fax so? Only problem I have encountered is trying to set the paper tray have been through the book but still a bit of a problem. Still able to print just need to go to the printer and hit resume!
good but not that good
set up was a bit of a task. no mention as to where the usb connection to a computer is situated. had to go back to the store. salesperson said it was a common occurance to be asked that question. printing of monochrome docs lack 'depth' look very 'milky' and you can see the fine dots in the printing. no where near the sharp quality of my previous CANON.
