Its potting mix.

It is full of large pieces of bark and compost that hasn't fully broken down. It certainly should not be labeled as seed raising mix. If you still want to buy it after that then nothing else said would change your mind.

Coir block seed raising mix is awful

published

There's been a change in the packaging and also the quality. Not for the better either. The seed raising mix I had just finished was lovely and small tiny fine pieces and certain success. Was a long term repeat customer. I ran out so bought some more from Bunnings. Four blocks.

Waste of money. The stuff is WORSE than their coir blocks of garden DIRT! Big chunks even lengthy bits of coco string etc. Not even their mulch and feed has that. I use it mixed with perlite and vermiculite to raise very fine seeds. I can't save this junk that I paid good money for.

Even the six yo noticed how awful it was "will anything grow in this?" And yes, Brunnings, I'd love an answer on that.

Save your money and your time.

Poor Quality Brunnings Seed Raising Mix.

published

Very Poor quality. Resembled normal potting mix. Most of my seeds did not even germinate. I compalined to Brunnings on two ocassions and did not even receive a reply.I thought at least Brunnings would be concerned about negative feedback for their product but this was no so.I will never by this product or another Brunnings product again.
Nothing
Produce was very course. and not suited to seed raising.

Hello,
I recently purchased your seed raising mix for the purpose of growing germiating tomato seeds.Unfortunately your product resembled normal potting mix and was far to course to plant my seeds. There mixed contained bits of bark greater than 10mm in size and some even larger. I found your product unsuitable for its purpose. Needless to say I did not plant my seeds on the day and was very dissapointed. I will not look for a far superior product that Brunnings.

I think V Yovanche used the mulch product and not the seed raising mix - there are no 'bits' in the latter, and i have successfully raised hundreds of vines from cuttings these past couple of years.

I had the exact same experience with the Brunnings Seed Raising Mix. When I opened it it was full of bark and not suitable for raising seeds at all.
